So I am going geeky...as defined by my neighbors

Disneyland trivia...who was snow white pie for... oldest thing at Disneyland... rwhat is rainbow ridge... hidden Mickey....what is not original to Disneyland

Movie quotes..and significant characters. I use them here many times...my wife always asking... how do you know that??? 🤔 🤔

Amtrak Coast starlight... love that route... involving passengers in the scenery, helping folks with the complications of riding Amtrak and beauty of riding a train or as my asst. Pastor said... Curtis... Jesus has made that your mission field

I was at home eating mincemeat pie fighting my father for it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wish I would’ve known you had some because I would’ve gladly taken it my family made it from venison and canned it I can eat that stuff straight out of the jar absolutely love it I prefer homemade over store-bought but who’s got time to do that these days

Today's Topic (Fri, 3/14) - 3 math-related, pie-related, or generally geeky things you're grateful for

Math:
Several of the math teachers I had in Jr. High and High School - they were all awesome in their own ways!

Pie:
Grateful for apple pie, and for the cool peeler/corer gadget I have to make it.

Generally Geeky:
That I can always find a podcast or YouTube video discussing a show or book series I love 💕

Grateful for the memories of our pi contest when I worked in 5th grade. The students all got a pencil if they memorized 3.14159 and then we had semi-finals and finals. One year a student got up to 171 digits. The next year I witnessed, and recorded a student who memorized 270 digits!! His reward? Hitting our principal in the face with a whipped cream pie! (Also recorded on my phone) I think of that amazing accomplishment every pi day. It was truly a singular experience. This kid was quiet and not a top student, but somehow his brain was perfectly wired for this challenge. My favorite part was hearing all the 5th graders chant his name when he was getting ready to throw the pie. He was very short and shy and the principal was very tall, loud, but all smiles. So, that may not be 3 things, but I think it’s worth at least 3 things to be grateful for!

Not a huge fan of shoes I don’t hate them I just prefer to be barefoot with my silly narrow feet I have a hard time finding dress shoes so I tend to not wear them - and go for boots - always want your feet happy !! Grateful I have casual work clothes environment!!!
Flip Flops 🩴
Brooks sneakers 👟
Hiking Boots 🥾
Short Boots / tall boots 👢- have several in different colors for dressy outfits!! Stylish & comfort !! Grateful for both !!!

You have always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it yourself

I mean seriously... how often do you look at a man's shoes

I remember my first pair of shoes, mama said that they would take me anywhere

Mama always said you can tell about a person by their shoes.. where they been.... where they going

My feet hurt

I'm pitching to shoeless Joe

No sir. Now. That boy ran off to find shoes

Referees in their black and white striped shirts? Because it gives DH something to complain about besides work and politics? (Sorry, it's been that kind of weekend...)

Our much loved, much missed, black and white kitty, Potter. He was a sweet boy, for sure, and I miss him and his brother Weasley all the time. We had them since they were kittens, had Potter for 17 years and Weasley for 20.

Penguins! They are so cute, so funny to watch.

Happy Cold & Grey Sunday  (yes, I’m pouting because I couldn’t bring the Florida sunshine with me - LOL!)

#1 - My Mom’s Piano - I used to do lessons on this piano when I was a kid.

#2 - Dairy Queen Dilly Bars - I eat one every Saturday night.

#3 - Zebras - I saw them on Safari at AK on Friday.

Rattlesnakes in the desert have a a tail that is black and white.. I had two close encounters as a child in Joshua Tree and have encountered 3 in Yuma but never in harms way here

Yuma ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ newspaper... daily 🗞️ 🗞️ 🗞️ 🗞️ 🗞️ 🗞️

Highway patrol 🚓 🚓 🚓 vehicles in 1960s and just recently were black and white in California. One historical movie director had the Pharaohs wrap a cable around the rear axle of a patrol car . The director of the movie was so glad that Francis Ford copplia gave him money to make the movie that he put the title of Francis Ford copplia first movie dementia 13 on the the theater marque....as the black and white police car came to rest in the street... missing the rear axle,.............. and the world is well entertained for all the black and white movies those 2 young men watched and studied
