Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Quoting some old posts here because I did place an order now that the weather is cooler, and my Curly Wurly's came yesterday. I just had one after my lunch, and it was delicious - perfectly what I remember!!! Very grateful to you, @Tink-osophy, for the recommendation!
You waited patiently for Curly Wurly weather and were rewarded! 😋

FABULOUS DELIVERY PEOPLE
We have a lovely mailman.
The many, many truckers and delivery personnel who work all hours to bring things to us, directly or via stores.
Whoever delivered this Canadian Maple Syrup to my birthday breakfast pancakes; it must have taken many people to make its long journey. 😋 🎂 🎈

Good Morning!

Being a truck driver isn’t an easy job and we see many truck drivers in our chiropractic office.

#1 - I’m grateful for the USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon and others that deliver to our houses every day - their job is not easy and especially in the bad weather.

#2 - I’m grateful for safe truck drivers - their large vehicle can easily kill people when driven unsafely, so I’m grateful to those that take this job seriously.

#3 - I was always grateful, as a kid, when we‘d be on the road and me & my friends would do the sign to a truck driver to blow the horn and they would - we thought that was so cool and fun.

(Wed, 10/4) - let's be grateful for them and all the other hard-working people who help us get the things we want and need

1. I'm grateful for all of the truck drivers who get deliveries to stock our local stores!
2. I'm grateful for our post office employees. I live in a small town now and our post office has limited hours - mainly because the post master is also the one who delivers the mail, so if you need to go in for some reason, it has to be before she starts her delivery route lol!
3. I'm grateful for ups, amazon, etc drivers who deliver to homes and offices - they seem to always be running, so I'm sure they have quite the load to deliver every day!

Good Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful that the chiropractor I work for treats us for no charge - the poor guy didn’t know what he was in for when he offered this - he’s put humpty dumpty (DD20) back together an uncountable amount of times - LOL!

#2 - I’m grateful for a patient recently bringing me a Mickey Mouse figurine for my desk - she said it was her mom‘s that recently passed away and she wanted it to go to someone that she knew would appreciate it and take care of it - I was incredibly touched by this.
*I‘ve been working at this office for 11 years and many patients I’ve known a long time now. Several come in to the office often, and we get to know each other well. I’ve met some absolutely wonderful people, and I’m so blessed every day to know them.

#3 - I’m grateful for Josh & Jenna at ResortTV1 helping me make DD20s a little more special - they took the time to sign a birthday card and send it to me to give to her - she was so surprised. Another reason why we support ResortTV1 and have become big big fans.

I will catch up later from the hospital, but if anyone has any extra good thoughts, pixie dust, or prayers, can you send them for my husband? He is having shoulder surgery this afternoon and we don't know if it'll be a more simple procedure or a full replacement. The last time he had joint surgery (on his knee) it got grossly infected after three weeks. He spent 2 weeks in the hospital and 6 weeks in a nursing home on IV antibiotics. He is OK now, although his functional abilities are different, but those long 8 weeks were anxiety-ridden; there was the possibility that he could lose his leg, or his life. I know... small chance of it happening then, even smaller chance now, but it's still been a pretty restless night here. SO... if anyone has any extra support to send towards Maine, think of DH today, please.
