Have a great trip Wendy. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Just being lazy this morning.
Nothing special.

Hi everybody.:hippie:

Good morning all!

Had a good 4th yesterday; hope you did too! Enjoyed a cookout at the inlaws. Ate way too much food and had a really yummy mixed drink! DS10 and DS7 didn't get to bed until 11:30p! DH and I didn't hit the sack until 12:00a. DS7 must have run around too much yesterday because he woke up at 2:30a crying with leg pain. Poor thing! I hate to admit this but I am NOT my best in the middle of the night. That has always been the way. DH got up with me because I'm always so cranky with the kids. I feel so bad but I can't help it! It's even worse if I'm woken up just a hour or so after I've gone to bed and haven't had the chance to get a few hours in. We gave DS7 some Motrin and this morning he was back to being his normal self.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi All,
Just checking in to say...

1. Dr. appt on Thurs 7/3 and even she doesn't know what this pain is. Thankfully it has gone away now. Will go back if it comes back.

2. Fireworks and the weather here have been FANTASTIC!!!!! Temps 75-80 and low humidity. Sunny too!:cool1: Fireworks every night...We can see so many different places from our upstairs windows or the comfort of our back yard. Sure pays to live on a hill. :thumbsup2

3. 7 Days from now we will be on the road to Colorado!!!!!! :cool1: Can't wait. Still so much packing to do. Got my double-wide Pudgy Pie maker today. (Campfire pie iron) Been looking up good recipes to make in it. Also taking my crockpot to make meals during the day while we are out siteseeing. Hope they have good weather there too.

Happy 4th July Weekend everyone!!!!

Hey!!! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Our's was pretty good. Just hung around the house most of the day. DH was going to cook on the grill but the kiddos wanted to do "make your own pizza night". We walked downtown to see the fireworks. They were actually pretty good this year, not Disney, but still pretty good. :lmao: We came home and the kids did sparklers while DH set off some small fireworks.

Pikester-I'll take the late-night times when the kids wake up. Those don't bother me at all. Now I am horrible if they wake up anytime between 5am and 8am. That is just my prime sleeping time. Unfortunately, that is also after the time DH leaves for work. Uggg, I just can't win. :rotfl:

D&DDisney-Good news all around for you. DH keeps talking about going camping one of these weekends. I may have some questions for you soon, if you don't mind.

Ok, time to watch the race.

Good Morning!

Just thought I would pop in for a quick hello before I go get my DS7 out of bed so we can go grocery shopping. DH and DS10 are off to another Mountain bike race today so I only have to take one kid shopping with me. :woohoo:

Hello racetrack18kb! I see you were the only one on here last night. I hope you enjoyed your race. My DH was watching it but had to go to bed due to his bike race that he has today.

My DS10 talked me into going for a bike ride last night. It was the first time I'd been on a bike in well over a year. I used to ride all the time. Well, he took me on the "Oak St. Loop" which must be a good 5 miles. The loop has two big hills plus we had the two big hills to climb to get back to the house....Damn did that hurt! My patootie is sore! I am sitting on one of those big exercise balls while I am typing this because it doesn't hurt that "special area". Everything else feels good right now but I guess it's tomorrow I have to look out for. I've been told that the second day after is the real killer!

Well, I guess I better head. I will check in later.

Toodles!

Whgrn - Hope you are having a great trip!!!

We're taking it easy today. No big plans just :laundy: and packing.

6 More days!!!!:dance3:

Wow, was that a good 4th or not.
I wish we had had a good one...
We have spent the weekend cleaning the pool. One of nephews(I told ya'll about them already) decided to play out a scene from Caddyshack-sans the Baby Ruth in our pool. We had to clear the pool Friday, Clean everything Saturday, and we can't swim today because the clorine is too high for DD to swim in because that bothers her asthma
We had to cancel our cookout et al for today-DH not happy nor am I.
Just got an irate call from SIL (mother of the 3) wanting to know "what did I feed these kids!!!!!)because 1 has a rash and she thinks I might have given him some sort of poison-she is a nut job-had she ACTUALLY cared what happens to her kids she should show more concern; perhaps show up where her kids are-instead of blaming everyone for problems.... Actually, DN spent the evening rolling down the hills on the golf course where we watch the fireworks...we live on a golf course...we told him he would get chiggers...but he didn't listen. She is mad because I put bug spray on him....I am :headache: because her lack of concern then her irate call, my DH is pissed, and me and my DB are stuck in the middle. He hated to call me tonight but SHE insisted. Yipeee, I can't wait for Monday.
Sorry to unload on ya'll I usually am a happy person...family can really drag you down.

Just thought I would mess around with some smilies and post some silly ones that I had found. Then I found the really cool USA one so I decided to post that too.

Hey, this is the best place to come and unload. You can do it anytime you like!

CaddyShack!:lmao:SIL is probably mad because the kids being ill is causing her to have to spend more time and energy on them.

Hi everybody! No time to read through, but we found a computer store that has internet access, so I wanted to say hi. We're having a great time. I'm doing really well with food, drinking lots of water, and spending time on the elliptical each day.

Cruising on the river is so COOL!!! Everyone is so nice.

I'll check in again when I can! Miss y'all!!

Wow, SIL really is a piece of work. And where was she during all the festivities at your house? Hiding at work so she didn't have to be with her children? If she is so "overwhelmed" with having to "deal" with her own children, she should be GRATEFUL to you and your family for picking up her slack. :grouphug: to all of you for having to "deal" with her.

Bopsmom...Are you poisoning the children again? Putting bug spray on a child to keep them from getting bit. What a silly thing to do.:rotfl:

She sure is a "piece of work"!!! I'm sending you some pixiedust: for today. Hope you can make it through!

:wave2: whgrn! Glad you're having a good time!

:wave2: Racetrack! How are you today?

Not to bad. Weather is icky up here though. Cloudy and humid....just waiting for more rain. Are you all ready for your trip? 5 more days, right?

Thanks guys for all the :hug:

DH was funny last night, after the call and my post to ya'll he went to start the grill for dinner-figured since we had to canel the Sunday party we should at least get a good meal-that's when he discovered that he was out of propane.:rotfl2:
He walked in, said, "I'm putting the steaks in the garage fridge and we'll have microwave hotdogs":lmao: He came back in from the garage with a bottle of champange that had been out in the fridge since his birthday. I asked what he was planning-he said, "it's been a s...Tsandwich weekend, I'm toasting not having to have any more "family holidays" for the rest of the year." He poured 2 flutes and handed me one. DD came down and said, "what are we celebrating?..DH told her and she said, "thank god...give me a sip!":lmao:
Alls well that ends well I guess.

I just read thru, and I know I wanted to comment on a bunch... but I'm so zoned, I can't remember any of it now. I should know better and multi quote or take notes.

I'm just stealing a minute anyway for a little much needed adult interaction. This weekend was really nice and we had a great time, but we let DS stay up WAY too late, and he's sick again now. I feel so bad for him b/c he just got over the other cold. Also, I'm having trouble staying focused and patient... apparently 6hr drives and really late nites take it out of me a little more when I'm 7mo pregnant! Go figure... :rotfl:

So, I finally got thru DSs breakfast/bathtime, etc. Got some medicine in him and have him set up on the couch w/ juice, a snack and a show before his nap and figured I'd veg here for a minute. (Once he hits naptime, I need to start the unbelieveable amount of laundry we generated for a 2 day weekend.)

Hope everyone is recovering/doing well depending on the enjoyment level of your weekend.

Uh - oh... I've been discovered. DS just wandered back to the laptop and saw the smilies... So, here he is sending some. At least it cheered him up!! :)

 :surfweb: :rotfl: :confused3 :cool1: :goodvibes :goodvibes :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She told me "'this is not what I wanted...so don't blame me if I want to get away from 'them'',
I dont' know what to do.
I guess that is why I''m telling ya'll.
I hate her, and I know that we shoudln't "hate" people but I can't help it.

I guess others replied to this but here's my 2cents...What an awful mother! Don't hate her...she's not worth the emotion. You are doing exactly what you should be doing...being a great support and loving person to the people who matter.

Ok, this post is going to be dumb but who cares. I need something to do while I'm waiting for my floors to dry.

I like to read those Harlequin and Silhouette books. (My DH calls them my smutt books! :rotfl: ) This sounds so stupid but I was getting ugly at the book I was just reading because the woman main character was being stupid. Why do they always make the woman in those book so dumb? She supposedly works for a detective agency type place, doesn't believe that the "killer" they have in custody is the one who killed her sister and could be after her but she still goes alone to her sister's apartment where the killing took place! DUH! Of course the killer is going to go get her there.

End of rant.

I read those 'trashie' books too. Not as much as I use to though. There's a series about NASCAR now. I like them because they are a nobrainer and quick to read. I just don't have as much time to read as I use to...spend too much time looking for smilies! :yay:

You got it!:woohoo:
Hot for Teacher?

I missed that song! :rotfl:

You guys and your "name that tune" smilies!! Too funny! I've guessed a few of the easy ones, but I'm always WAY too late to be the first to answer.
I'm down another 4 pounds. I'm now officially the "skinny sister"!! hope that doesn't change over vacation.

Hey Skinny---Thinking of you on your cruise. I think you are getting in to the smilies too.

OH!!! I remembered what I wanted to tell you all. Don't download Smilie Central. Put one heck of a Trojan virus on my laptop. Our security softwear when I did a scan found it in that directory. Bummer I was excited about having a little smilie on my toolbar I could just click.

Good to "see" everyone, I will be putzing around tonight checking in from time to time.

My Smilie4 Central was ok. I cannot use it here though. It only works in emails. Haven't heard putzing in a long time! :cool1:

Did someone guess this one yet?
Are ya'll mad at me for "mental floss"?:lmao:

I thought you were just bored and posted them. :rotfl: I need a clue.

I finally downloaded the 2 pics we bought from Hershey. They do the ride photo at the end of the tour of the Chocolate Factory.

M&N, me, DH and DD5...

The other one has DD12's friend in it and I don't want to post it without permission from her mom. All I can say was DD12's friend was great with my DD7

Thanks for the pic...

Well they did drag everyone down with their actions. My mom has said she was glad we did not live near our relatives at times. We could do our own thing as a family--just the 3 of us.

Hi everybody! No time to read through, but we found a computer store that has internet access, so I wanted to say hi. We're having a great time. I'm doing really well with food, drinking lots of water, and spending time on the elliptical each day.

How I spent my

.
Mom and I really didn't do much. We watched the fireworks on tv...those from DC were great but I think the Boston ones were better. At least they looked better on tv. There were more special ones. Those from DC were big and bright but you could not see the special ones...almost like the grand finale too much. I did get her to go see Walle. I liked it. The kids there did pay attention. I thought they were going to be distracting the way they were before the movie.
It's a hazy, hot and humid day today.

Ok, back for a minute b4 I turn the computer off... Just went thru the online circular for grocery shopping tomorrow.

Let's see what I remember-

Whgrn - I hope you are having a great trip.

Bopsmom - OMG!! :scared1: What a weekend. I'm sorry it turned out so... Not even sure what word to use. (Crappy came to mind, but that seemed like an ill-timed and insensitive phrasing.) Glad you finally got to celebrate.

Pikester - Woo Hoo on the bike riding. Hang in there. I used to ride all the time, and gave it up for years. I had just started again when we decided on having #2. So, obviously I'm not riding now, but I was really enjoying it.

M&N - Are they Nascar novels? Or trashy Nascar novels?? No one's taken that Kasey Kane commercial and gone too far w/ it have they? :rotfl:

Speaking of Nascar - I haven't heard any arguing btw the Racetrack and M&N camp. You're not going soft on me are you M&N? :lmao: The winner certainly caused an uproar around here as usual, but Wow! what an ending to watch. It got just a wee bit crazy there.

Ok, well, off to finish the grocery list. For some unknown reason, DH has decided to try being a vegetarian for a few weeks! :confused3 I don't have any issue w/ the concept, its just that he's a confirmed carnivore. I have no idea what's gotten into him. He just randomly announced on the way home from our weekend that he thought he'd "give it a try for a while." I thought he was joking... Especially since he'd just finished a Prime Rib dinner.

Anyway, the list just got that much more complicated b/c I've never cooked for a vegetarian before, and I'm not going to go that way for DS and me. (I don't feel like 7mo pregnant is a good time for me to try and change my whole diet and figure out whether or not I'm getting enough minerals and vitamins. I have enough trouble getting the extra iron and protein I need as it is since I don't eat a lot of red meat anyway.)

Ok, gotta log off or I'll never get anything done...

Vegitarian????? I don't think I could do it. I soooooooo love my red meat products. :cloud9: I know its bad for me, but its just so good!!!!

5 Days and counting I am mostly packed, except for clothes (kids & myself) and last minute stuff for the cooler. (Why is it that DH only has to pack for himself???)
I've been checking out the Camping thread here for some good easy recipes too.

I always ask myself the same question! My DH always picks on me about all the stuff that I bring that he claims I will never use but just watch him ask me "Hey, do you have such and such?" and I usally do!
