ITS A BOY!! Just had the ultrasound yesterday morning, and he was "struttin' his stuff" so to speak... I wouldn't trade it for the world, ...darnit, I wanted to make a princess cake one of these days!)
arty:Congratulations!!!!

Good Morning, Ladies!
i'm really really behind now, and i don't think i'll ever be able to catch up! i think the last time i read you were on page 190!
Magsnden
I know what you mean, I'm barely caught up but post anyway

we're here for you.Amen, I do that too.I hear ya! I swear it's like that everynight.
I think they do it because they know it bugs us.Yeah, and why do men scratch so much and not care about who sees it? Do they not realize that they are doing it or they just don't care?
Sounds like she is having a blast.Ok, well DD checked in a little while ago.
I am really looking forward to it though. It will be a nice change.Morning everyone! Seems it was a busy night, full of great news! M&N...I'm with you! Great weather is wonderful!
Congrats Pepperw...you should totally be proud of your DS! To be ranked at all is pretty amazing in my book (I'm not athletically minded, unless its shopping) and to be 5th! Really cool. Its wonderful to have dreams...I hope he makes pro one day. Just to have something that you enjoy so much is a treasure!
(I'm part of a fantasy baseball team, I have no idea what I'm doing. I may seek your advice, although I"m fourth right now!)
dreamin...so glad to hear DD got there safe and is having a great time! And she saw Cirque! Wow! Now I'm really really jealous. I'd like to do that one day. And I still have to call my mother when I"m away---including this weekend. Things never change..and that's nice.
I've always been a Disney kid...but in the last few years, dating my BF, Disney has really proven spectacular in accomodating the disabled. The CMs have been wonderful and for once, I don't have that secret fear in the back of my mind of "what if?". There are no surprises, just fun and lots to do. I know we can go on everything, go everywhere and that is such a relief. Of course, I've always secretly considered myself a princess, and besides being a bride, you can get away with tiaras at Disney.
And I'm looking forward to the food. We've always been CS people, and eating TS somewhere outside. I'm really really excited to be able to do this with BF, otherwise we would never be able to do this with our budget.
There's so much to do before I leave this afternoon! Talk to you later!
Just sneaking in a "hi." Read a few things I wanted to comment on, but now I don't remember anymore... I'm getting quite the run around at work today...
ITS A BOY!! Just had the ultrasound yesterday morning, and he was "struttin' his stuff" so to speak. I must admit that, petty as it was, I was a little bummed about putting away the mental checklist of all the girly pink things I was going to buy this time around (since we have one little guy at home already), (and also feeling guilty for even having that thought cross my mind since I know I am SO Blessed to have a healthy little man and another one on the way) but I'm feeling much better about it this morning, and can't wait to meet my newest boy and introduce him to his big brother. I don't think I was ever upset that this baby was a boy. B/c once I knew, he suddenly had a whole personality and, of course, I wouldn't trade it for the world, I think I was more just bummed about the thought of missing the girly stuff. (I think we're probably done at 2 kiddies, and darnit, I wanted to make a princess cake one of these days!)
But, I have to run... I just got to work and need to punch that clock now that I'm finished my stolen moment of DIS.
Have a great day everyone! And, welcome back Magsnden!!! We missed you!!!

That is exactly something I would have said. I find that kind of humor incredibly funny. I mean I can watch Billy Madison (Adam Sandler) every day and still laugh at it.
And as little as I remember about baseball, what he did is great. Is he just a relief pitcher or does he start too? I've only watched pro ball so forgive my ignorance. Is college ball "played" the same as pro? You know, are there guys who are only relief pitchers? Sorry about so many ?'s but nobody in my family watched much college sports. Just curious.
Good Morning, Ladies!
i'm really really behind now, and i don't think i'll ever be able to catch up! i think the last time i read you were on page 190!
ok, so can somebody give me the quick version of what i missed?!
i think lighttech's pregnant? that's GREAT!! fill me in on the details, when are you due, morning sickness etc?
so a lot's been going on over here, and if i get to get on the computer, it's only long enough for email. i have to fill you in later. i had some tests and i'd rather get the results before i talk about it. hope you all can understand.
but anyway, i really hope to be around more, like the old days! i was worried you'd have reached the 250 page, and i'd never find you all!!

Thanks for the info on the baseball. I used to watch alot with my dad when I was a teen. I bet closing is filled with all kinds of pressure. I don't think I could deal with that kind of pressure. Keep us updated on his team. I'd love to hear all about it. You're going to disney
You're going to have to fill me in on the cabins. Especially the transportation there. I imagine it being very hard and time consuming to get around. But I think it looks very rrelaxing there.

She said she's been ok in the parks and everything is going good. She has felt comfortable being on her own and that's what I worried about. Tomorrow they get to go to Magic Kingdom for the entire day. No classes, only to meet for lunch at Crystal Palace. So tomorrow is the day I really worry about. They are pretty much on their own from park opening till EMH. But I know she'll be fine and at least she has a couple of days down there to get used to be on her own.
.
.
, for a diser it's even harder, not only do you worry but you want to be living every disney moment with them. Tell me again, why you couldn't be a chaperone???
you can share whatever you want or if you don't you can come here and just talk about anything. Whatever you need to make you feel better or get you through these days, we are all here!!!!
and prayers to you.
). Its a start? or an end?... I just don't know... this laundry stuff is a ridiculous never ending cycle... Anyone every tried being a nudist?

So unless some heaven sent miracle happens and I wake up with a 21 year old's body, I'll be doing laundry every single day of my life.
She saw Wishes for the first time and surprisingly wasn't very impressed. I think she is shocked by the crowds. She's spent alot of time looking for hidden mickey's and just checking out all the little touches in the parks. She is loving looking for hidden mickeys and asked me to get out our book on them tonight to give her some clues for tomorrow at Hollywood Studios. They are having a competition on finding them. We don't have to tell that mom gave her a heads up on a few of them, do we?
Tomorrow morning, they get to do the animation class and I'm sure she's going to love that. From what I understand of the class, it's part history on Walt Disney and part on the actual animation drawing. Sounds cool to me.

Hi bopsmom, glad you checked in too!! Have some herb questions, but I'll hold those till tomorrow.
Rewarding myself for finishing laundry w/ a quick hello! (OK, there's more actually in the washer/dryer, but everything that was in baskets or piled on chairs and couches is folded and away...). Its a start? or an end?... I just don't know... this laundry stuff is a ridiculous never ending cycle... Anyone every tried being a nudist?

She took on the chore 3 weeks ago, the plan seems to be working.
She hasn't, but will soon try unsuccessfully, to foist this chore back on me when the novelity wears off, but it will be too late. It would be futile to try her Dad since he hasn't done a load in 16 years.Hey everyone! I would say evening but it's really morning.
DD called a little bit ago...

Sounds like a great time. Is it a special tour? Is it one you take through Tours?Tomorrow morning, they get to do the animation class and I'm sure she's going to love that.
Ok, just need another minute of your time to brag. If you all don't mind that is. I think Jackie (DD12) has finally realized how much time and effort I put into our vacation. She's gotten spoiled by what I do for our vacations and after seeing what happens when you really don't have a plan down there, I think she gets it. We've gone on the family vacation while it's been crowded but she never realized it before. She understands why I alway make us get up early for rope drop. So, while a not proud mom moment, it sure as heck what a "proud Disney fanantic" moment.![]()
, I went there yesterday with DM(also a Master Gardener who has lived in that neighborhood for 40+ years), DD and DH. We have gotten her a plan that both she and her hubby loves. She is very excited and I have also gotten DM out of the house working on this project.
I think the art class I am taking(birthday gift from DM) will come in handy now. If I start a business I wonder if we could write it off as a business expence?
later.

Well.....please note my new TICKER!!!!!!
So on our trip will be My Mom and Dad (62 and 64), Me (39...i mean 21), DH (46), DS (20) and DD (17)....so excited I listed all of our ages ha ha.![]()
We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins because of the "size of our party"I am really looking forward to it though. It will be a nice change.
We are very proud of DS. (DD too, but I should wait a couple of months before I brag on her too ha ha) I tell ya, there is one kid on his team that is a Freshman and he was Drafted in the 38th round out of HS but his parents made him go to school (smart choice IMO) That kid is amazing to watch. He is fun to have around too...real nice kid. Okay now I am bragging on other peoples kids ha ha.
I don't have any kids so I'll let you use some of mine. We need to hear about the good kids so we don't get depressed about the future. All we hear on tv is the bad. The good kids also need to hear the bragging---positive reinforcement. Glad parents stressed school. She has felt comfortable being on her own and that's what I worried about. Tomorrow they get to go to Magic Kingdom for the entire day. No classes, only to meet for lunch at Crystal Palace. So tomorrow is the day I really worry about. Guessing I'll be MIA until after the party next weekend... unless I get a lunch break pop-in at work. So, take care everybody!! And, see ya' soon!!
PS - If y'all hit the magic number while I'm away, somebody please PM me w/ our new thread location!! Perhaps Threadkillers RE-unite??![]()

'Night all. Good thoughts your way for any and all troubles. And hopefully, as DS says, "Have good dreams!"
I have set an evil plan in motion. Baawahaaahaaa.I have gotten DD to do her own laundry.
I have some news, I have gotten my first "paying" job designing and overseeing a landscape job.![]()
Unbeknownst to me my DH was talking to a co worker that was having a terrible time getting what she wanted for landscaping. She has a beautiful new home in an old established neighborhood in Houston. She had no knowledge of plants, needs, etc.basically didn't know what she wanted. He told her to call me last weekend to discuss what the estimates and work that was going to be done for her.
I think the other companies thought chaching, and were really going to take her for a ride using tacky, run of the mill plants.
I gave her an assignment of taking a camera and notebook on her travels in town (she's a drug rep too) and shoot and note what gardens she liked and why, what plants and why, what colors, et al. She loved the experience and asked to hire me. I had never considered doing this sort of thing, just was helping a friend.
Well, to make a long story short, I went there yesterday with DM(also a Master Gardener who has lived in that neighborhood for 40+ years), DD and DH. We have gotten her a plan that both she and her hubby loves. She is very excited and I have also gotten DM out of the house working on this project.
Who knows, this may the the start of something good.
Gosh, last I posted here was so long ago.
Our family has not done so well this past winter. I got bad news while I was at WDW in December and my stepfather passed away from cancer end of January. I think I have been in a real funk and have not visited the boards since forever until just the other day when my sister booked a trip to WDW this November.
So here I am again, trolling the boards for info for that trip and remembered the thread killers....I don't think I have time to go back and catch up so I'll
just jump right in here and say hi again to all!
Amazing to see this thread up to 224 pages....You all have been busy and hope you all have been well.
Have a great day all! Enjoy this beautiful spring weather! Finally! spring has sprung here in WV
Glad you are back. Going through a sad time like that is hard during the dreary winter months. Spring has seemed to perk us all up some. Now you have a Disney trip to get ready and plan for. Join in whenever you can.Rewarding myself for finishing laundry w/ a quick hello! that may work, I believe their are elves that come in and double your laundry when you sleep!!1Hey everyone! I would say evening but it's really morning.
disney54us-awww, what happened with DS and the neighborhood kids? They did something worse this time? I'm imagining all kinds of things and it's making my blood boil and I don't even know what happened. We're here if you want to vent.![]()
lighttech-the never-ending laundry problem. Oh, I hear you on that one. Never thought about being a nudist. I figure the world would never recover from the sight of me walking around naked.![]()
So unless some heaven sent miracle happens and I wake up with a 21 year old's body, I'll be doing laundry every single day of my life.

DD called a little bit ago. They went to Magic Kingdom and still very crowded. It sounds like she had to skip alot of things because the lines were so long (Peter Pan had a 70 minute wait). She never even made it to Adventureland today. She did get to ride the Haunted Mansion and said since they redid it, it is much better. She even jumped a few times. She saw Wishes for the first time and surprisingly wasn't very impressed. I think she is shocked by the crowds. Here is a shorter, second version.
Fire away, I'll do my best.
I have set an evil plan in motion. Baawahaaahaaa.I have gotten DD to do her own laundry. She is at that "I want to be treated as a grown up" stage. It has been an eye-opening experience for theShe took on the chore 3 weeks ago, the plan seems to be working.
Saturday, she had friends over to swim and told them all to bring their own towels. She had to do 2 loads of pool towels, by herself, the weekend before. She hasn't, but will soon try unsuccessfully, to foist this chore back on me when the novelity wears off, but it will be too late. Sounds like she is having the time of her life. I think its sweet how she still is sharing her adventures with you and including you in the search.
BTW-I'm Tellin'
At the end of Gangster Alley, find Mickey's shadow in the window near the top of the Chemical Company building.
I have a book too. Now we are partners in crime.![]()

It's so nice to see new life after 100+ inches of snow this year. I've been out on my patio and LOVE IT!!!! Looking at getting a patio set, but WOW are they expensive. Between $400-800 for a basic one. Ouch! I could buy indoor furniture for that price - and get more use of it.
Anyway, sending
your way.
Congrats on the landscape gig!!! Our resident horticulturalist is moving up in the world.
So I'm going to try turing cupcakes in to a bunch of Ty Fighters. I'll keep you posted.
