Bopsmom - Looks like you are here somewhere...
Hope all the projects and crazy stuff is going well! Dealing w/ any snakes today? (I hope not!)

ITS A BOY!! Just had the ultrasound yesterday morning, and he was "struttin' his stuff" so to speak... I wouldn't trade it for the world, ...darnit, I wanted to make a princess cake one of these days! )

:party:Congratulations!!!!

Make yourself a princess cake for you next birthday-or better yet, have "your boyz" do one for you.:goodvibes

Good Morning, Ladies!

i'm really really behind now, and i don't think i'll ever be able to catch up! i think the last time i read you were on page 190!

:wave2:Magsnden:wave2: I know what you mean, I'm barely caught up but post anyway:)

 pixiedust::hug: we're here for you.

I hear ya! I swear it's like that everynight.
Amen, I do that too.

Yeah, and why do men scratch so much and not care about who sees it? Do they not realize that they are doing it or they just don't care?
I think they do it because they know it bugs us.

Ok, well DD checked in a little while ago.
Sounds like she is having a blast.

We had one of THE BEST trips in November 2003. The week before Thanksgiving. The weather was wonderful and the parks were near empty.
You will love it.

hardly any time, about to go and finally enjoy some nice weather.

Congratulations, lighttech! i so know what you mean about a teensy bit of guilt that you'll miss the pink stuff. my friend had that same feeling. even the day before her delivery she said to me "think pink" (she didn't know what she was having and had a boy already).

i'm sure you've realized how GREAT it will be for your little guys to have a brother. both of them will treasure that, maybe not in the beginning but later i'm sure!! lol!

thank you all for your thoughts, and just keep the prayers going. and i promise to let you know - good or bad - when we know.

it's great to know that my friends here are ready to listen and help, even if i have been away for so long!

thank you guys, again!

Hi everyone. Looks like everyone is out enjoying this LOVELY day!!!

Well.....please note my new TICKER!!!!!!

My parents didn't want to miss out on getting in on free dining so they went ahead and booked us all!!!!!!! Of course now that means that I am 100% committed to a summer of yard sales and Ebay but hey...small price to pay right??

So on our trip will be My Mom and Dad (62 and 64), Me (39...i mean 21), DH (46), DS (20) and DD (17)....so excited I listed all of our ages ha ha.:rotfl:

We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins because of the "size of our party" :rotfl: I am really looking forward to it though. It will be a nice change.

Morning everyone! Seems it was a busy night, full of great news! M&N...I'm with you! Great weather is wonderful!

Congrats Pepperw...you should totally be proud of your DS! To be ranked at all is pretty amazing in my book (I'm not athletically minded, unless its shopping) and to be 5th! Really cool. Its wonderful to have dreams...I hope he makes pro one day. Just to have something that you enjoy so much is a treasure!

(I'm part of a fantasy baseball team, I have no idea what I'm doing. I may seek your advice, although I"m fourth right now!)

dreamin...so glad to hear DD got there safe and is having a great time! And she saw Cirque! Wow! Now I'm really really jealous. I'd like to do that one day. And I still have to call my mother when I"m away---including this weekend. Things never change..and that's nice.

I've always been a Disney kid...but in the last few years, dating my BF, Disney has really proven spectacular in accomodating the disabled. The CMs have been wonderful and for once, I don't have that secret fear in the back of my mind of "what if?". There are no surprises, just fun and lots to do. I know we can go on everything, go everywhere and that is such a relief. Of course, I've always secretly considered myself a princess, and besides being a bride, you can get away with tiaras at Disney.

And I'm looking forward to the food. We've always been CS people, and eating TS somewhere outside. I'm really really excited to be able to do this with BF, otherwise we would never be able to do this with our budget.

There's so much to do before I leave this afternoon! Talk to you later!

We are very proud of DS. (DD too, but I should wait a couple of months before I brag on her too ha ha) I tell ya, there is one kid on his team that is a Freshman and he was Drafted in the 38th round out of HS but his parents made him go to school (smart choice IMO) That kid is amazing to watch. He is fun to have around too...real nice kid. Okay now I am bragging on other peoples kids ha ha.

DS said to ask away with the Fantasy BB he said he will be happy to help you out if you need it, he said sounds like you are doing pretty good on your own. Fourth Place!!!! That is awesome!!!!

Just sneaking in a "hi." Read a few things I wanted to comment on, but now I don't remember anymore... I'm getting quite the run around at work today...

Don't ya hate it!!! Why can't we ever convince those people at work that we are there to look pretty. Geeze the nerve of some peoples children. :rotfl2:

ITS A BOY!! Just had the ultrasound yesterday morning, and he was "struttin' his stuff" so to speak. I must admit that, petty as it was, I was a little bummed about putting away the mental checklist of all the girly pink things I was going to buy this time around (since we have one little guy at home already), (and also feeling guilty for even having that thought cross my mind since I know I am SO Blessed to have a healthy little man and another one on the way) but I'm feeling much better about it this morning, and can't wait to meet my newest boy and introduce him to his big brother. I don't think I was ever upset that this baby was a boy. B/c once I knew, he suddenly had a whole personality and, of course, I wouldn't trade it for the world, I think I was more just bummed about the thought of missing the girly stuff. (I think we're probably done at 2 kiddies, and darnit, I wanted to make a princess cake one of these days! )

But, I have to run... I just got to work and need to punch that clock now that I'm finished my stolen moment of DIS.

Have a great day everyone! And, welcome back Magsnden!!! We missed you!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!! Maybe he will be a boy that likes girls SO MUCH that he asks you to make a princess cake for him in honor of how wonderful girls are.....okay maybe not. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is exactly something I would have said. I find that kind of humor incredibly funny. I mean I can watch Billy Madison (Adam Sandler) every day and still laugh at it.

And as little as I remember about baseball, what he did is great. Is he just a relief pitcher or does he start too? I've only watched pro ball so forgive my ignorance. Is college ball "played" the same as pro? You know, are there guys who are only relief pitchers? Sorry about so many ?'s but nobody in my family watched much college sports. Just curious.

This season he has played mostly middle relief and has done some closing, I think he has only started once or twice. It is the first season he has not been a starter.

He works well under pressure, so that is what got him that spot. Nick is the kid that gets called in when it is a tight game, bases are loaded etc. Kinda a 3 up 3 down type pitcher (3 batters up, 3 batters out). When he is in the role of "closer" it means he goes in the game in say the 7th inning and just holds on to the win. To be honest, early in the season I was upset and thought the coaches didn't like him or something ha ha. But apparently I was way wrong it just meant they liked how he works under pressure...who knew? :confused3

Yes, it is similar to the pro's.

Good Morning, Ladies!

i'm really really behind now, and i don't think i'll ever be able to catch up! i think the last time i read you were on page 190!

ok, so can somebody give me the quick version of what i missed?!

i think lighttech's pregnant? that's GREAT!! fill me in on the details, when are you due, morning sickness etc?

so a lot's been going on over here, and if i get to get on the computer, it's only long enough for email. i have to fill you in later. i had some tests and i'd rather get the results before i talk about it. hope you all can understand.

but anyway, i really hope to be around more, like the old days! i was worried you'd have reached the 250 page, and i'd never find you all!!

Just wanted you to know I am thinking about ya, and I hope everything turns out okay. :grouphug:

Wow, I can almost hear my echo in here...

Hello-o-o-o

Anyway, Magikitty have you seen this book? I thought about you when I came across it while poking around researching:

http://openmouse.com/

"See" yall later.

hey everyone!! Loving this weather. :goodvibes

magsnden-so nice to hear from you again. Don't worry about catching up just visit us when you can. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

lighttech-ooohh, a boy! Congratulations! I know what you mean about hoping for a girl. Even though we have a boy, I didn't come into his life until he was 2. So, I missed all the baby things with him. But we were blessed with 3 girls and I couldn't imagine our family any other way. Happy and healthy is what matters. :flower3:

pepperw23-looks like you've been keeping this thread going by yourself today. :rotfl2: Thanks for the info on the baseball. I used to watch alot with my dad when I was a teen. I bet closing is filled with all kinds of pressure. I don't think I could deal with that kind of pressure. Keep us updated on his team. I'd love to hear all about it. You're going to disney :woohoo: :cool1: You're going to have to fill me in on the cabins. Especially the transportation there. I imagine it being very hard and time consuming to get around. But I think it looks very rrelaxing there.

Looks like I'm the only one here but that's ok. I'll take over for pepperw23. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DD got to call home early tonight. They went to Animal Kingdom so no late park hours. The parks were still crowded but she didn't mind. Not too many pictures today because the battery in her camera died. That's ok because I'm sure I'll make up for it in November. They had the character breakfast at Tusker House this morning. She said Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy were there. We've only seen Daisy once in all our trips so that must have been cool. They also got to go swimming tonight. And yes, she had to rub it in to me. She said she's been ok in the parks and everything is going good. She has felt comfortable being on her own and that's what I worried about. Tomorrow they get to go to Magic Kingdom for the entire day. No classes, only to meet for lunch at Crystal Palace. So tomorrow is the day I really worry about. They are pretty much on their own from park opening till EMH. But I know she'll be fine and at least she has a couple of days down there to get used to be on her own.

I'll let you know about her day when she calls tomorrow.

Night everyone.

Just saying hi real quick. DS is outside playing while DH does some yard cleanup. so, I've got a few blessed minutes to get some work done in here. Its my last Sunday before the big birthday party, so I have a TON to do. I actually think i need to make a quick list b/c I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and just bouncing from task to task instead of completing anything.

Hope all is going well (I haven't really read to catch up.) Guessing I'll be MIA until after the party next weekend... unless I get a lunch break pop-in at work. So, take care everybody!! And, see ya' soon!!

PS - If y'all hit the magic number while I'm away, somebody please PM me w/ our new thread location!! Perhaps Threadkillers RE-unite?? :cutie:

Well we went from bumping to busy killers!!! So much to comment on and busy weekend myself. Not all good more drama w/neighborhood kids and DS, but this time it went a little to far.

I'm not going to multi quote so doing the best from memory:laughing:.

Pepper congrat's about your son!!! He has served you proud!
Lighttech<>>>> It's a boy, you'll have fun taking their GF's to lunch and shopping! Congrat's and love to the healthy baby. We will be waiting your arrival:banana:.

Dreamin, she's having the time of her life, though mom and dad aren't:sad2:, for a diser it's even harder, not only do you worry but you want to be living every disney moment with them. Tell me again, why you couldn't be a chaperone???:confused3

Magsnden...So glad you checked in!!! We have be so worried about you. Thanks for checking in and remember we are here for you:grouphug: you can share whatever you want or if you don't you can come here and just talk about anything. Whatever you need to make you feel better or get you through these days, we are all here!!!!:grouphug: and prayers to you.

Hi bopsmom, glad you checked in too!! Have some herb questions, but I'll hold those till tomorrow.

I think we all agree that if we get busy, don't worry about catching up! We would just rather have you back and joining in:goodvibes

Rewarding myself for finishing laundry w/ a quick hello! (OK, there's more actually in the washer/dryer, but everything that was in baskets or piled on chairs and couches is folded and away... :confused3 ). Its a start? or an end?... I just don't know... this laundry stuff is a ridiculous never ending cycle... Anyone every tried being a nudist? :rolleyes1

'Night all. Good thoughts your way for any and all troubles. And hopefully, as DS says, "Have good dreams!"

Hey everyone! I would say evening but it's really morning.

disney54us-awww, what happened with DS and the neighborhood kids? They did something worse this time? I'm imagining all kinds of things and it's making my blood boil and I don't even know what happened. We're here if you want to vent.

lighttech-the never-ending laundry problem. Oh, I hear you on that one. Never thought about being a nudist. I figure the world would never recover from the sight of me walking around naked. :rotfl: :rotfl2: So unless some heaven sent miracle happens and I wake up with a 21 year old's body, I'll be doing laundry every single day of my life. :laundy:

DD called a little bit ago. They went to Magic Kingdom and still very crowded. It sounds like she had to skip alot of things because the lines were so long (Peter Pan had a 70 minute wait). She never even made it to Adventureland today. She did get to ride the Haunted Mansion and said since they redid it, it is much better. She even jumped a few times. :rotfl2: She saw Wishes for the first time and surprisingly wasn't very impressed. I think she is shocked by the crowds. She's spent alot of time looking for hidden mickey's and just checking out all the little touches in the parks. She is loving looking for hidden mickeys and asked me to get out our book on them tonight to give her some clues for tomorrow at Hollywood Studios. They are having a competition on finding them. We don't have to tell that mom gave her a heads up on a few of them, do we? :goodvibes :rolleyes1 Tomorrow morning, they get to do the animation class and I'm sure she's going to love that. From what I understand of the class, it's part history on Walt Disney and part on the actual animation drawing. Sounds cool to me.

Ok, just need another minute of your time to brag. If you all don't mind that is. I think Jackie (DD12) has finally realized how much time and effort I put into our vacation. She's gotten spoiled by what I do for our vacations and after seeing what happens when you really don't have a plan down there, I think she gets it. We've gone on the family vacation while it's been crowded but she never realized it before. She understands why I alway make us get up early for rope drop. So, while a not proud mom moment, it sure as heck what a "proud Disney fanantic" moment. :rotfl2:

Night! See you all in the morning.

Good Morning :wave2:
Ugggg, I just finished multi-quote replies and lost it!!!!:confused3
Here is a shorter, second version.:goodvibes

Hi bopsmom, glad you checked in too!! Have some herb questions, but I'll hold those till tomorrow.

Fire away, I'll do my best.

Rewarding myself for finishing laundry w/ a quick hello! (OK, there's more actually in the washer/dryer, but everything that was in baskets or piled on chairs and couches is folded and away... :confused3 ). Its a start? or an end?... :rotfl2:
I have set an evil plan in motion. Baawahaaahaaa.I have gotten DD to do her own laundry. She is at that "I want to be treated as a grown up" stage. It has been an eye-opening experience for the princess: She took on the chore 3 weeks ago, the plan seems to be working.
Saturday, she had friends over to swim and told them all to bring their own towels. She had to do 2 loads of pool towels, by herself, the weekend before. She hasn't, but will soon try unsuccessfully, to foist this chore back on me when the novelity wears off, but it will be too late. It would be futile to try her Dad since he hasn't done a load in 16 years.

Hey everyone! I would say evening but it's really morning.

Sounds like she is having the time of her life. I think its sweet how she still is sharing her adventures with you and including you in the search.
BTW-I'm Tellin':lmao:

At the end of Gangster Alley, find Mickey's shadow in the window near the top of the Chemical Company building.
I have a book too. Now we are partners in crime.;)

Tomorrow morning, they get to do the animation class and I'm sure she's going to love that.
Sounds like a great time. Is it a special tour? Is it one you take through Tours?

Ok, just need another minute of your time to brag. If you all don't mind that is. I think Jackie (DD12) has finally realized how much time and effort I put into our vacation.
It is so nice when your hard work is appreciated-better than a paycheck I think.

I have some news, I have gotten my first "paying" job designing and overseeing a landscape job. :woohoo:
Unbeknownst to me my DH was talking to a co worker that was having a terrible time getting what she wanted for landscaping. She has a beautiful new home in an old established neighborhood in Houston. She had no knowledge of plants, needs, etc.basically didn't know what she wanted. He told her to call me last weekend to discuss what the estimates and work that was going to be done for her.
I think the other companies thought chaching, and were really going to take her for a ride using tacky, run of the mill plants.
I gave her an assignment of taking a camera and notebook on her travels in town (she's a drug rep too) and shoot and note what gardens she liked and why, what plants and why, what colors, et al. She loved the experience and asked to hire me. I had never considered doing this sort of thing, just was helping a friend.
Well, to make a long story short:rotfl2: , I went there yesterday with DM(also a Master Gardener who has lived in that neighborhood for 40+ years), DD and DH. We have gotten her a plan that both she and her hubby loves. She is very excited and I have also gotten DM out of the house working on this project.
Who knows, this may the the start of something good.:confused3

Well, gotta get and start my drawing.:artist: I think the art class I am taking(birthday gift from DM) will come in handy now. If I start a business I wonder if we could write it off as a business expence?

:hippie: later.

Gosh, last I posted here was so long ago.

Our family has not done so well this past winter. I got bad news while I was at WDW in December and my stepfather passed away from cancer end of January. I think I have been in a real funk and have not visited the boards since forever until just the other day when my sister booked a trip to WDW this November.

So here I am again, trolling the boards for info for that trip and remembered the thread killers....I don't think I have time to go back and catch up so I'll
just jump right in here and say hi again to all!

Amazing to see this thread up to 224 pages....You all have been busy and hope you all have been well.

Have a great day all! Enjoy this beautiful spring weather! Finally! spring has sprung here in WV

Hello everyone! Just a quick shout out to say "hi!" and good day! Now I have to go back and play catch up....Happy Monday everyone!

Ok...caught up now! So much to chat about!

First off, welcome back wvgoofy fan! I'm sorry to hear of your loss, though. I completely understand the need to take some time and just readjust. And yes, we're still here! So good to hear that spring has hit you too...the terrible winter has been a hot topic on here. But it seems that we may be out of it! Hope you continue to join us.

Magsnden...so good for you to check in. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Big hugs to you all.

Lighttech...congrats on the little guy! I too hope for my own little princess one day, but if I get happen to get a little prince, that would be so joyous! And two brothers are just so cute, watching out for each other and being best buddies.

Bopsmom! What a great opportunity! Isn't it weird the way life works sometimes? You will be a fantastic landscaper. Keep us posted on the job as it progresses. I'm fascinated, I'm trying desperately to be a good "mommy" to my herb planties, but I must admit I'm not very good at it!

dreamin...sounds like you raised an amazing DD. So glad she's having a good time. Tell her we're all jealous of her fantastic trip! It really will make for fantastic memories.

Pepper....congrats on the new plans for a trip! Thanks for the tip on the book, I have an older version of it that I"m using. I actually went to the bookstore on Friday and got two different books. Not really any info I didn't already know, but they have that new book smell and it just makes me more and more excited. Your ticker looks great!

Hi there disney54us!

I think I'm going to mess this up but going to try multiquoting but think I have too many and won't remember. :)
Good Morning, Ladies!

i'm really really behind now, and i don't think i'll ever be able to catch up! i think the last time i read you were on page 190!

but anyway, i really hope to be around more, like the old days! i was worried you'd have reached the 250 page, and i'd never find you all!!

We haven't disowned you. If you read back you would see we thought of you. As others already said...we're here for you...whenever. :grouphug:

You'll be the only princess in the house! I can see a princess cake for a wedding shower. What names are on the list?

Well.....please note my new TICKER!!!!!!

Love the ticker! Your trip will be fantastic.
I don't think we have a limit on how many brags we can have a day. ;) I don't have any kids so I'll let you use some of mine. We need to hear about the good kids so we don't get depressed about the future. All we hear on tv is the bad. The good kids also need to hear the bragging---positive reinforcement. Glad parents stressed school.

She has felt comfortable being on her own and that's what I worried about. Tomorrow they get to go to Magic Kingdom for the entire day. No classes, only to meet for lunch at Crystal Palace. I'm sure the party will be a huge success. We won't loose you. :scared1:

Keep that evil plan working. Making the kids bring own towels shows she's realizing it's not as easy as it seems.
I'm so impressed with your new job. Not really out searching either. It was a good idea to get her imput like that. Very clever. Like getting DM involved too. All that experience is going to waste. You need to name your company. (I seem to have a thing for names today.)

Gosh, last I posted here was so long ago.

:welcome: Glad you are back. Going through a sad time like that is hard during the dreary winter months. Spring has seemed to perk us all up some. Now you have a Disney trip to get ready and plan for. Join in whenever you can.

I think I covered the quotes...going to preview it and see if it worked.
OK---It worked. I guess I don't have anything to add. It was great seeing how the dogwoods peeked out over the weekend.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: that may work, I believe their are elves that come in and double your laundry when you sleep!!1

Night! See you all in the morning.

You brag away, you've earned it. Sometimes they have to see how things are when mom doesn't work her magic to really know what you do. Sounds like she is having fun, DD's school seniors are there for senior trip. I have to agree Wishes doesn't do it for me, no flames guys. I like the old fireworks and music better at MK, DD agrees. There is nothing wrong with helping DD find hidden Mickey's after all what good would it be to have a mom that's a Dis nut and you couldn't help:laughing:.
Oh yeah believe me I was fuming so was DH I'll get into it later b/c it's 1:25 and gee I've done a little of this a little of that and a lot of nothing.

Good Morning
Ugggg, I just finished multi-quote replies and lost it!!!!:confused3
Here is a shorter, second version.

Fire away, I'll do my best.

Sounds like she is having the time of her life. I think its sweet how she still is sharing her adventures with you and including you in the search.
BTW-I'm Tellin'

At the end of Gangster Alley, find Mickey's shadow in the window near the top of the Chemical Company building.
I have a book too. Now we are partners in crime.;)

Sounds like a great time. Is it a special tour? Is it one you take through Tours?

Hate when multi quoting goes awry!!!! Congrat's on your first paying landscape design job!!!!! Way to go. My herb question was and I feel funny asking I know you've been busy. If you had any herb seeds left??? Planting season has finally sprung, okay it did and today feels like fall:confused3, so no big deal if your to busy didn't want to duplicate though.

Sorry to hear your bad news. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family.
Glad you have decided to come back. It is amazing how many pages we are up to, we even were moved to the community board. Hopefully spring will help get you out of that funk and moving forward:goodvibes.

Hi Everyone,

The weather has been sooooo nice here (70s and sunny)that I have spent every moment I can outside. My tulips are coming up and I've started planting other flowers and I got my tomatoes and seeds yesterday. :woohoo: It's so nice to see new life after 100+ inches of snow this year. I've been out on my patio and LOVE IT!!!! Looking at getting a patio set, but WOW are they expensive. Between $400-800 for a basic one. Ouch! I could buy indoor furniture for that price - and get more use of it.

Magnden - Welcome back! Hope your tests turn out well. Any chance those tests could be for something positive...like pregnancy tests??;) Anyway, sending :goodvibes your way.

Pepper - Congrats on the new ticker! So happy you'll be going to Disney in 4 mo. Can I travel in your suitcase?

Lighttech - Yeah...Its a boy!!! I know what you mean about loving your sons but secretely wanting to make a princess cake at least once. princess:

Magikitty - How's the weather in NY? Hope the warmth has made it your way. Did you get to see the Pope last week?

Bopsmom- :cheer2: Congrats on the landscape gig!!! Our resident horticulturalist is moving up in the world. :thumbsup2

wvgoofyfan - Welcome back to the flock. Sorry to hear your bad news though. Many hugs your way.

My DS has his birthday this weekend. He decided on Star Wars but I didn't want to make an all black Darth Vader cake. The guest frown upon those dark stains on their teeth:lmao: So I'm going to try turing cupcakes in to a bunch of Ty Fighters. I'll keep you posted.
