Thoughts on Canon 24-105mm f/4 L Lens? Need advice.

I took the plunge and bought from B&H through their used department. I picked the refurbished rating which was a few dollars more then their "9" rating and am completely satisfied so far. It looks brand new. UPS dropped it off last night pretty late and I took a few quick shots indoors. Feels great (heavy/solid like the 24-70L I rented a few months ago) and shoots wonderfully so far. I plan to take it out in the late afternoon as I'm getting tile put in one of our bathrooms today so I'm sort of stuck indoors for the time being. I've got an itchy trigger finger though! Thanks for all the advice. My first L lens!!! Woohoo.

Thanks Janet. So far so good. I'm really enjoying it. If I were rich I probably would have sprung for the 24-70L 2.8 but I got an extremely good deal with B&H which made me feel more comfortable with the purchase. The lens is solid and produces wonderful images in my opinion. I almost always come away with clean shots each time.

Are you still heading out to Disneyland this year? Did you start your new trip report yet?

I'm keeping an eye on your reports. I have been considering that lens as an alternative when I want a little more reach.

The plan is still to head to Disneyland. Like last year though, we're going to have to wait until school starts in the fall to see what week works best. It just gets more complicated every year.

I had meant to get my TR started much sooner, but you can see I totally failed there. Timmy's home this week on spring break, so I'm hoping to get going on it next week. I'll post a link in my old TR.
