Can anyone advise me on how or even if it has been possible to get your Disney park tickets in advance. We have booked through Thomson and when I phoned today I was told that they only issued e-tickets and I would not be able to get the number needed on the back of the ticket, as it is booked through them as a travel agent and not direct with Disney. We are staying off site and want to take advantage of the 30 day FP+ which I have been give the option in MDE where my reservations for dining have been made.

No, I don't think it is possible to get hard copy tickets. I know there was talk of the UK travel agents trying to find a way around the problem so people could pre-book FP+ but no solution to my knowledge as yet.

I honestly don't think you will have any problem making same day reservations once you get your actual tickets. I haven't read any reports of people not being able to get FP+ reservations the same day (early) or the night before.

We are travelling 18th June - 2nd July, am I not right in thinking this is American holidays and the parks will be very busy?

certainly the latter part of your trip fall at a busy time, if not the first week. However, I went duirng Spring break (also a busy time) and had no problem making FP+ reservations the morning of my visit and changing FP+ reservations throughout the day.

Don't forget, as soon as you have your tickets you can link them and will be able to make all your FP+ bookings then.

Ok. Thank you for your help. I am just going to hope we can do the rides we want to do.

Have you already booked your tickets via Thompson?
I ordered mine through undercovertourist.com and got real tickets that I have just linked to MDE. :woohoo:
Also got actual Universal tickets from attractionticketsdirect.co.uk :cool1:

I'm going with Cosmos so it might not be exactly the same but I had an email on Saturday (5 weeks before we go) that had a PDF for both my Disney and Orlando flex ticket. The disney one gives you a website that you go to and it gives you your actual ticket number. It worked for me I linked it to my MDE account no problem got to wait until Friday to do FP's though as you can only do it 30 days before

Hope that helps

Thank you, I am going to go back to our Travel Agents on Saturday and ask if this is something they have heard of. It is still 6 weeks until our trip.
