This new EMH has really messed up my plans!!!

We will be at WDW from May 9-14, I have already made my plans and all my PS, on Tuesday I had planned on taking advantage of EE (morning) at DS, I have PS at 12:15 at Sci-Fi, then we had planned on going back to our hotel (Pop Century) resting a few hours and then back to see Fantasmic that night~~I did not do a Fantasmic dinner pkg because A).Lower crowds and B). that was the only night of the week that spectro was in the MK, so I figured that a lot of people would be at MK to see spectro!

Now that they are saying that MGM will have EMH on Tuesday, I have a feeling that Fantasmic will be extra crowded---do you think I should change to a different day???

From my experience, the EE park isn't always crowded at night. It is crowded during the early morning and afternoon. People go early, so they leave early, especially since MGM isn't really and all day park (in my opinion). I guess it would depend on what time MGM is closing, but I would not worry too much about it.

We will be at MGM the same day as you, also staying at Pop Century! Before this whole EMH change we also could have met on the bus back to the hotel for an afternoon rest. Now that things have changed we are going to sleep in, go to the park later and do BD FDP, how late do you think the park will be open after Fantasmic? We are doing the EMH on the Saturday for the Star Wars thing, so I guess it will all work out. I think you're right about it being more crowded though, yuck!

We are also going to be there (May 8-16). I had everything all planned and the PSs made for MGM on Tuesday. Now I'm wondering if I should change our MGM day to Monday instead of Tuesday! Argh. I was looking forward to doinng our Fantasmic pkg and then riding rides while everyone else in the world ate and then doing the Fantasmic show. Now it seems like the park may be too crowded. I dunno.

What was the change - the extra hour morning entry? What is the new schedule? I thought it was MADE MAD for years.

House of Mouse! That is so neat that we will be there at the same time, I'm kind of excited about the new EMH testing, this way we won't have to get up so early in the morning!

eljojo, Disney is testing a new program with EMH and are going to do some in the evening hours instead of the morning hours. The list I've seen is as follows (this is still the unoffical list though)

Sun- EPCOT EMH evening
Mon-AK EMH morning
Tues-MGM EMH evening
Wed EPCOT EMH morning and MK EMH evening
Thur AK EMH evening
Fri- MK EMH morning
Sat- MGM EMH morning

My DU travel agent sent me an e-mail yesterday stating that EMHs would still follow their regular schedule, with the evenings an added bonus!

Are you sure House of Mouse? I read on some sight, either Deb's Allearsnet.com or WDWMagic.com that this temporary schedule was replacing the current schedule for the test period.

I hope you are right though because my DS's are young and I'm not sure we'll be able to fully utilize the night hours.

House of Mouse--I hope that DU is right! I was really looking forward to early morning at MK on Sunday, May 16th!

I sent an e-mail to Disney asking when the official notice would be posted. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

Example - Magic Kingdom on Wednesday was to be open till 8:30
Does it now "close"@ 7PM to non resort guests?

Sorry for hijacking, but does anyone have any information on what will happen after May 22? We arrive on the 28th with our 4 kids, 3 teenage friends, a family of 4, a family of 6, and another family of 4. I have been planning for so many people based on the usual EMH, I don't think I'm up to any changes! Any information would be appreciated!
