"This Isn't Disneyworld. . .It's Rainworld!!" our trip to WDW May 16-23, 2009

Hi! Becky
Ally's day pics were so cute...I love the bday set up! wish they had something like that when Gwendolyn was young...she loved Ariel--still does!!!

sharing this next pic with you and your readers from my thread --something I found on the dis--but answers the question to the PP. at this time they are not doing anything to the above mentioned attractions

just found this on another thread!
this guy did an awesome job!
it is an airal view of MK w/the new blue prints super imposed so you can see where things are going. Most of the updates are taking place where the old 20,000 Leagues use to be!
very interesting...

Doesn't that video get you excited!? I can't wait to see all the new stuff! I know all about MIA...I'm trying to get back on. Started a new trip report and all. :rotfl:

Hi Tammy!!! It's great to see you back on here!! Yes, the video gets me VERY excited!!! I cannot WAIT! I'll have to check out your new TR!!

Hi Becky!!! How are ya? I'm really excited about the Fantasyland changes too. It sounds like it is going to be fantastic!

Hi Leanne!! I'm great but have been busy with Ally's birthday--and Claire's birthday is in 2 1/2 weeks and her party is in a week and a half!!

Yes, 2012 and 2013 cannot get here fast enough!!

I am about 80 miles southeast of Nashville.

So you're about 3 hours from me!!

Becky, I saw some of Ally's birthday party pictures on Facebook! Too cute! What a terrific idea for a birthday party-- and a business. Seems great for a busy mom-- did they provide everything??

Thank you!! Yes, they provided EVERYTHING!! I didn't have to do a thing! It was fabulous!! And I was sooo impressed with all of the little details they put into everything. Ally wants them to come back next year for a Tinkerbell party.

I just read the news! It sounds great, but what does that mean for the rides already existing? Snow White, Pooh, IASW, Peter Pan and the Cinderella's Carousel?

All of those rides will remain untouched--all of the additions will be farther back (See Connie's map)!!

Awww!! Thanks Connie!! Ally really enjoyed her party and her friends are still talking about it!!

Thank you so much for posting the maps of current & future Fantasyland!! It makes it so much easier to visualize!! Sooo exciting!!!!

WOW! What an exciting weekend!! Ally's 5th birthday was Saturday as was her birthday party. 8 of her friends came to her Ariel-themed party and it was beyond AMAZING!! I hired a business called Victoria's Traveling Tea Party to come do her party and they did EVERYTHING!! They made and sent the invitations, decorated (beautifully I might add), made all of the food, organized and directed all of the activities which included crafts, games, dress-up, photo sessions, tea time, and a visit from Ariel!! They even cleaned up afterwards and did the dishes!! Halfway through the party as the girls were eating, Ariel rang the doorbell and surprised Ally with a gift--it brought tears to my eyes! Ally was in awe!! Then Ariel came in and sat by Ally as everyone ate and as we sang "Happy Birthday" and had cake. She played a game with the girls and then assisted Ally as she opened her presents. Check out all of the pics here in my FB album: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=35517&id=1035906284&l=d970bb98f6.

Now I'm quickly planning Claire's party--we're having it a week early on Oct. 4th (her birthday, Oct. 10th, is during Fall Break and a lot of people will be out of town). It is going to be a Minnie Mouse themed party so if you have any suggestions, please share!! I need ideas for activites and party favors!! I'm very pleased with the invitations--I'll share a pic when I get a chance!!

What a fantastic party!! The pics are adorable and the girls look like they had a blast! And you didn't have to do anything...bonus!!

Hi! :goodvibes Oh my goodness, the party looked amazing!!:thumbsup2 Clair had to be so excited. I love the photo of Clair with her new American Girl things..so cute! (both girls are adorable). Thank you for sharing the party photos.:)

It was amazing!! Ally was VERY excited!! She is STILL talking about her party!!

What an awesome birthday party for a beautiful little princess! It looked like so much fun! Do you think they would come up to Buffalo for me? :rotfl:

It's so hard for me to picture what it's going to look like when it's all said and done. I saw the blue prints, but for me it's like trying to read a map, and I'm no good at that either. :rotfl:
OT, has anyone on the DIS told you that you resemble "pmama"? OMGosh, the similarities between the two of you, especially with your sunglasses on. Anyway, just a random thought that I had.

Wow, that is one amazing traveling tea party! What a great idea! So cute:cloud9:

I need help on my PTR!!

1) Should I get a fastpass for Test Track right when the park opens? I am going to hit Soarin first, then Nemo, Spaceship Earth then snack. I plan on going to TT then hit World Showcase right when it opens (by TT, so it all works out). I know Jan is slow..but dont know if I want to take the chance? One of my friends suggested I FP on the way out for naps, then ride it at night?

2) Disney Visa offers great savings and promotions right now. Do you know any info on past Oct/Nov/Dec savings?

3) I need hairbows!! Not till December, but wanted to ask you if you could get a Dumbo bottlecap? I saw one on etsy, but wanted to check with you, of course!! Also, some red white and black minnie/mickey ones and a few others. No rush! I will email you a little later.

Thank you Disney Queen :worship:

Hi Becky,

Ally's 5th b-day party looked amazing, that is one special party she'll never forget :goodvibes

We had a Mickey/Minnie themed birthday for Mae and margaret last yr (only Mae had a kid party) but here a few pictures:

DH & I made custom Mickey eared party hats:

I made Mickey balloons out of cardstock:

I made this Mouseketeer Board:

100_0681.jpg

We played a hidden Mickey game, w/ cut out Mickey heads (I used the HD paint chips) and hid them around our basement for the girls to find.

and we had a Mickey Dance off and played music from Mickey Mouse Club house and we watched a Mickey Mouse club house show

The party was in the morning so DH whipped up batches of Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes too.

Scrappie J-

Happy late birthday to Ally! The party looks so amazing! Can I come over and play with that American girl kitchen set with her?:rotfl2:
Claire's going to be 2? :dance3: Happy early birthday to her!
I'm sure her birthday party will be amazing too! Are you going to do it yourself or have the same people again?

BTW- Did you decide when your going back?

Awesome party pics! What a creative idea for a birthday party. Wish I'd thought of the business! Oooh, Becky I have an idea. You could get her to buy your bows to use as party favors, I bet you've got one that would fit any theme party they could think up!

That's a great party you threw Ally.

I love the pics!

It looked like a lot of fun!

No one has ever mentioned that but thanks for the compliment!! Pmama is beautiful!! :goodvibes

Katie--Disney Queen?! WOW! I'm blushing over here!! I'll try and help. Let's see. . .

1) We rode Test Track at night and the wait (even without a Fast Pass) was not bad. I would definitely hit Soarin' first!! Your plan looks good and well thought out. We also hit WS when it opened.

2) I really am not sure. We don't have a Disney Visa--crazy, huh?!

3) I can definitely hook you up with some hairbows!! I can get a Dumbo bottlecap--I can get pretty much anything on a bottlecap--I have a lady that makes all of mine and I can send her a pic of anything to be put on the bottlecap. Just let me know what you're going to need. The earlier the better b/c this time of year is my busiest and we always go out of town for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years.

I hope this helps some!!

Thank you Barbara!! Yes, Claire will be 2! :sad1: I'm not sure where the time has gone!! I am doing this party myself since they really don't do parties for younger kiddos. That's why I need IDEAS!! We are going back May 22-29, we just haven't booked it yet!!

Awesome party pics! What a creative idea for a birthday party. Wish I'd thought of the business! Oooh, Becky I have an idea. You could get her to buy your bows to use as party favors, I bet you've got one that would fit any theme party they could think up!

Thank you Rebecca!! What a great idea--what girl wouldn't love a princess clippie as a birthday favor!! Thanks!! BTW--I LOVE your new siggy!! What gorgeous pics!! :lovestruc

That's a great party you threw Ally.

I love the pics!

It looked like a lot of fun!

Thank you!! The girls had a blast!!

That party looked great! And it seems the best thing about it was, little planning from you! They did the decorations and the games, that is wonderous to me. I HATE coming up with things to occupy little ones at a party. The girls looked like they really enjoyed themselves.

Thank you!! Yes--it was wonderful just sitting back and enjoying the party!! I'm normally so uptight and unable to enjoy their parties!

Last night we went to Disney on Ice! The show started at 7:00 p.m. so we got there around 5:45 p.m. Starting at 6:00 they were having an exhibit set up with a display of the princesses dresses along with Belle and Cinderella to greet everyone. We did not get to see it though. When we got there they did not allow me to bring in my camera so Brent had to take it back to the car (it was too "professional" b/c it had a detachable lens). I was NOT happy!! So no good pics from last night for me! We did stop at a photo op and had the girls pic taken with "Tinkerbell". It cost $15 but was well worth it since it's the only pic of have!
Disney_on_Ice.jpg

So by the time we got the picture taken, the line for the princess exhibit was insanely long!! So we decided to let the girls pick one thing as a souvenir. They both chose a Tinkerbell light up thingy that spins--it will be great for Spectromagic next year!! Then we headed to our seats (we were only 5 rows back from the ice)! The show was incredible!! It was Worlds of Fantasy--Minnie, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy came out and started the show. Then came the Cars part, then Ariel, and then The Lion King. There was a short intermission and the entire 2nd half was Tinkerbell (which my girls LOVED)!! It was awesome!! I did try and take some pics with my Blackberry Storm but they aren't great by any means! Certainly not the quality that my Canon Rebel would have taken! Here is the link to those pics (everything is in reverse b/c I had to upload the pics from my phone):

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=36036&id=1035906284&l=b708704794

It was a great night!! I would definitely recommend a Disney on Ice show to anyone--just be sure to take a point & shoot camera with you!!

Ok--now onto party planning for Claire's birthday!! Here is a pic of her invitation (I covered our info but underneath it says "Claire's Magical Kingdom", our address, and our phone # to RSVP).
Minnie_invite.jpg

I found the invite on Ebay--the lady designed it, added the pics, and sent it to me as a jpeg file. I then took it to Walgreens and printed them. Here is a pic of what I want her cake to look like (dh is making it). I found this pic here on the DIS. Dh said he could do all of it but maybe not the hat on top.
MinnieMousecake.jpg

I'm still looking for ideas for the party, so let me know if you have anything!! She'll be turning 2!!
