sorry it's kinda gross but want to know if you think I should be concerned for any reason.... I just sneezed - which I've been doing reguarly this entire pregnancy(usually don't sneeze much at all) ANYWAY when I sneezed I sneezed blood! Sorry - I know -gross---but should I be concerned??? What on earth is it from??? it was only a 1x sneeze -but several drops that I had to change my p.j.'s..... :confused3

When I was pregnant (the first time) I was sitting on the couch talking with my husband when my nose just started bleeding. I've never had a bloody nose before ever. I looked it up and it's just something that can happen when you're pregnant. It could just be dry air too and not even related to pregnancy.

Okay, I visualized the blood coming from somewhere else and got scared for you!

Have you had your blood pressure checked lately? My BP was too high when I was pregnant with my DS and that's the only time in my life I'd ever had bloody noses. Plus, like Beth said, it could be the dry air.

I have allergies but rarely have nose bleeds, except when pregnant! My doctor told me that because of the extra blood the body is making to feed the placenta, nosebleeds can be more common. If it worries you though, call your doctor...that is why we pay them the large bucks!

Just wanted to add that my blood pressure was absolutely fine during my entire pregnancy. And I only had the one nosebleed.

I constantly got bloody noses while I was pregnant with both DD's. I could be doing anything (or nothing) and it would just start.
I called my SIL and asked her what was up(I would call her ALL the time b/c she already had 2 girls) and she had them, also.
When I spoke with my ob/gyn he said that it's totally normal.

Exactly. I wouldn't worry about it for a minute. :)

Your hormones cause an increased blood flow. I had a few nose bleeds and my gums would bleed easily also.

THanks guys ! I knew y'all would have the answer! I'm not gonna worry a bit & head on to bed - I go to the dr on MOn so I'll mention it to her then....never had anything like this with the other kiddos so thought it was a bit odd....
THANKS!
