I booked room only with the e-mail pin number that I received from Disney. Including tax, it's $373.53 per night for concierige.

I've always been quoted 399/night with AAA but last year I went back and booked the same reservation with the 7 for 4 plan that they were offering at the time so it worked out to be 228/night. That was for lagoon view concierge in value season. If I could get that again I'd book it and go this weekend! The rack rate for that time was $470/night.

Yes, I am paying over $475 a night plus tax I think... VERY high in price... thats why I want to save some money with the codes...

I received an e-mail once, but it said that I had to book it through some travel agent so I deleted it... I should have kept it and called disney with the code.....

From what I can tell, the e-mail rates were sent to people who had registered on a Disney site. You can always call CRO and ask if an e-mail rate is associated with your name. Some other Dis'ers mentioned that it worked for them and that possibly their e-mail providers had placed the Disney e-mail into a spam folder. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call and check.

I'm sure if you have an e-mail code associated with your name, then they can just update your address and send it out to you again.

Well, I called... I think she found the code, but because they are all booked they could not give me the discount.... So if the hotel is all booked they won't let you apply the discount code to your reservations??

That's true with all codes. They have a certain number of rooms that they allow for the code. Once they are all taken then no one else can book the code. You can check back for cancellations though.

No, a NEW code could be applied to an existing reservation by re-booking it but each code only has a certain number of rooms per hotel that can be attached to that code. Once a code reaches that number then you can't book against it anymore. Am I making any sense or only confusing you?

Unfortunately, they do limit the availability of all discounted rooms, but as YCFAN mentioned, keep calling back for any cancellations.

I've heard alot about the postcard rates that people get in the mail, but I've never gotten one of those and we've been staying at Disney resorts for years now. I believe this is the first time that Disney has sent out promotional rates through an e-mail. I can't see any pattern as to how Disney marketing decides who gets these mailings. If you are registered though, there's probably a good chance that you also have a pin # associated with your name. You could always call CRO and check with them. This particular offering was for 8/29-12/19, but they might even be able to confirm the e-mail address they have on file for you so you won't miss out on any future offers.

I just called and they don't have any codes associated with my name. They did however have a AAA rate for 399.50/night. That's still pretty decent savings off of rack rate of $475/night. The cost of AAA is $60/year.

We're AAA members and the fee does end up paying for itself. I love the trip ticket maps they provide, plus we've seen some pretty good savings on other hotels.

As far as money goes, this trip to the YC is probably the best that we are ever going to see. Not only did we get a great rate at the resort, but our roundtrip airfare from Boston to Orlando is only $120 per person. It's great because now I can splurge on a few other things like being picked up in a limo instead of the town car, taking an Illuminations cruise and having a Disney Christmas tree in our room. This is a total surprise for my family, so they are going to be shocked.

I am registered on some Disney sites also, but I have never received The Insider or a code. What is The Insider, and how do you sign up to get it?

TammiMcMan - While I have never been to the YC or BC, I never heard of a room with 2 pull out sofa's. Where did you get this information? You sure they were not talking about a suite?

We were told by both our TA and CRO that both BC & YC have rooms with 2 double (or was that Queen) beds and 1 day bed. There are some rooms with a King or Sisco King bed, but they do not have the day bed.

We are a family of 5, so we can fit in the room with a day bed. Surprisingly, the one bedroom suites (at all deluxe resorts) only sleep 4. For 5 you need to book the 2 bedroom suites. aaggghh
You would think with 1 bedroom and 1 living room, you could fit at least 5.

A while back, some of us noted that the really great graphics that Joe Cool had posted at the beginning of this thread had disappeared. Somehow or other, someone pointed me to some room layout maps for both the YC and BC. (Maybe someone copied them from Joe's site?)

Anyway, this page:
