Hi Iris,

I just couldn't pass up the Disney e-mail offer and the low airfare that came out. I'm sorry we won't be running into each other though. I am a little nervous about trying something new, but our plans are to see more of Epcot and MGM this trip, so the Yacht Club seemed perfect.

I hope you have a wonderful stay.

Tammi

We are going 12/15-12/29 and staying contemporary and B/C.Is any one else traveling this far to see snow?????I am still a little worried how to dress my little girl for the "cold". We are also planning like true Disneyholics, DH wants to bring battery lights for balcony tree (?), and I thought this might be easier than staying home ! Can you attach stockings to wall with suction cups ,it sounds like we are bringing not only cooler but also maybe some Hawaiian luggage(Rubbermaid ) for presents and decorations.OMG ..... Remember there are 3 kinds of men: those that believe in SantaMICKEY , those that dont, and those that ARE!!!I love these boards, we are all believers!

aloha, mermaid lagoon::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsgirl:

We will be @ YC the week of 8/21. This, too is our first time in the Epcot Resort area and are really looking forward to it.

Tammi- I sent you a pm.

So far I am having a wonderful experience with the Yacht Club. I've already been in contact with Annalisa in the pre-planning office. She is going to send me out a packet of information and she has already taken care of purchasing tickets for MVMCP and securing a ps at the LTT on that same night. I'm also working with her to book an Illuminations cruise and maybe have some Christmas surprises in the room.

A great first impression.

I just received my concierge elevator key for the Yacht Club this weekend. I'm really looking forward to our Labor Day trip :teeth: I didn't bother using concierge to do my PS's this time but I got the form.

Can someone tell me where the concierge lounge is at the BC? I found a map of room layouts, but it combines the 4th & 5th floors & doesn't show where the lounge is.

D&R love Disney: That's one of my favorite things: getting that concierge elevator key prior to arrival!! Just walk in the front lobby, turn right and then a quick left to the elevators. Don't even stop at the front desk. When you get off of the elevator some wonderful friendly CM will have you checked-in in no time. It's soooooo easy!! You'll love this place. Hope you have a grand vacation!

Anyone have details on the YC Rehab (residing) going on October/November...what sections are being resided/when.
Can't get any answers out of Disney Concierge on this, except that the rooms we requested are unavailable.
Thinking about relocating to BI if available since we can't get any answers.

Duchess, I'm sorry I don't know anything about the residing that's been going on, but wanted to give you a heads up about the pool rehab. There is another thread describing the rehab as starting in early November and lasting until January. I checked with Annalisa in pre-planning and she said that they would be repainting surfaces, but that it would be done in stages. The slide will not be affected until the very end and it would affect certain areas at different times, but that the entire pool wouldn't be closed.

Hi!
Thanks for the "heads up" on the pool rehab...we're headed for home Nov 1st, so hopefully we won't see that.
Our dates are 10/22 to 11/1.
We've had such great views at YC the last two trips that I'm anticipating the worst.

We were just there in July and except for noticing the scaffolding in one place as we were driving up to the resort, I never noticed it again during the trip. I really don't think it's an issue. They are blocking off the rooms that are around the area that they're working.

I've never been to the YC and I've been searching on the web trying to get pieces of information. One website that I found talks about the room setup. It says that there are a limited number of rooms that have a king bed and 2 sleeper sofas. I know my two kids would love to not have to share a bed and DH prefers a king size. Anyone out there have any experience or first hand knowledge of these rooms?

Thanks,
Tammi

I am staying at the Yacht Club for the first time this year.... I just received my key to the 5th floor the other day.. I can't wait.. We walked by the pool last year and I hope we can swim in it this year, I hope its not closed when we are there... We are going the second weekend in Nov..

I'm so excited for you. I've stayed in 5183 and 5175 and the views are outstanding. I love this place as you can see from my sign-on name!! I've never had an easier check-in anywhere else and that includes other concierge levels. I'm so envioius. I was just there in July and would love to go back.

I believe it's 7:00 if memory serves me correctly.

I think it's normally 9:00 am but Saturday is an early entry day for Disney MGM Studios which would make it 8:00 am. Entry times can change depending on the season and what's going on at the time. I'd check with the schedule when I arrived just to make sure.

Thanks for the info...

What is the cheapest anyone has booked a room for at the Yacht Club concierge?? I was wondering what kind of deals they give with the codes for the yacht club..

thanks
