Too funny Steve!

I don't think those were the exact words Clark used though....

Tell me you're not picking up Aunt___ on the way!!!

Have fun in Wally World.

Tagrel posted a link to recent photos of Stormalong Bay (July 2003). Click here to view Tagrel’s SAB slideshow. The photos are excellent and really capture the feeling of that swimming pool complex.

In September 2003’s issue of the Disney Vacation Club’s Member Clubhouse newsletter, the following was stated regarding pool hopping at Stormalong Bay:
- - - - - - -
Pool hopping policy
Please remember that unless you're a registered Guest of Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, pool hopping is never allowed at Stormalong Bay and Uzima Pool. Quiet pools at those resorts are also off-limits, unless you are a registered Guest of the resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Thanks Janek2k! We just love the YC/BC/BCV! Stormalong Bay is just an awesome pool and its amazing that I needed 70 pictures to show it all! (OK - I could have left some out but where's the fun in that?!) :)

Tagrel I just love your SAB slide show. I didn't realize that they were updated and went back to view the new pics. Now I have to show my whole family, again, so we can get even more exciting (if that's possible). Thanks!

Hi, I'm new and so very thankful to everyone. This will be our first trip to WDW and YC concierge GV. I am so excited about everything - Thanks again for helping me with so many answers to questions I didn't know I had!!

Hi All,

Looking for some information. Planning on staying at the Yacht Club next summer and was interested in what kind of discounted prices people have gotten. I was interested in standard or concierge, I was interested in when Disney has the summer savers codes. If anyone could help so I have an idea of maybe what to expect on prices. My dates are very flexible so I plan on basing this on prices.

Thanks

Hi wdisneyaholic. Keep reading this site. I am new to all this but after finding out about codes and info on how to save money I saved $1000 from my original booking! Very happy newcomer to the DIS Board!!!! YC concierge GV 12/19-12/25

Really great SAB pictures, and what a great site you have Tagrel, I signed up today, it is very well organized and I was quite impressed.

Does anyone know if they have the life jackets for the toddlers at stormalong bay?

Hi there...

Yes they do have life vests at the little store at Stormalong Bay.. they need your resort ID card and they will issue you a vest free of charge for your whole stay... you don't have to return it till the last day. I found this very convenient. :)

>>^..^<<

That is great, I have 3 little ones and they prefer the life vest to anything else.

I have yet to stay at the Yacht Club, and I am just starting my planning. I am hoping to get a good rate on the Yacht Club conceirge for next summer. Hopefully they will have a summer savers special again. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Yes, this is very good to know. I will make note of this for our upcoming stay as we have a couple of little ones as well.

[Sorry if this has been covered - I admit that I haven't read every post on this thread.]

I've heard there is a mini-bar in the YC rooms. Can you clean that out and use it as a fridge (putting the items back before checkout) w/o being charged, or do the fridges have those sensors where if you even move anything you get charged?

During the renovation of the YC, the mini bars were removed. You can rent a fridg. for a weekly fee.

Does that mean that all the rooms now look like those less attractive pix I've seen, where the TV is just out, instead of in the pretty white armour?

Unless they have done renovations after last mid July. There are still mini bars.
We used them for our wine and our own soda when we were there.
We didnt even have to take anything out there was room for two bottles(sm) of wine and two or three cans of soda even with there stuff in them.
If you do take out any stuff, put them back in the morning before you leave. Housekeeping counts eveything when they come to clean and replaces what is missing. I was told by the front desk CM that it was alright to do this.

Oh I'm so sorry for the mis-information. Our last 2 stays were concierge and I'm afraid I may have missed the mini bar, I just don't remember one being in the room after the renovations.

See Sammy at the Yacht Club concierge. He's the best. Very friendly and will do anything to help you. we love him!

It would be nice if the DIS veterans could post all the names of the YC concierge staff that have helped them. Some have said very nice things about a few staff members. I know Stephanie from the YC concierge has been wonderful to me. Having never been to WDW I have asked some pretty silly question. I believe they must work as a team supporting each other inorder to be so patient , friendly, and enthusiastic in creating such a Happy Place. Hope you all have a magical trip!

I have spoken to Amy, Tammy and Stephanie and they have all been WONDERFUL!

They answer every question I have.

They have made our trip a great one already and we're not even there yet.

:D
