Thanks a million, YachtDad!

That's exactly my problem, too. I get off to a much more pleasant start if I can ease into the day with my coffee in hand, before I even head to the shower.

I'll plan to take the little machine, my grinder, my Starbucks beans... they shouldn't take up THAT much room in the suitcase!

Any one know how much it might cost to have my 16 yr old dd very long hair cut at the salon at the Beach Club ? Do they do a good job? thanks!

Are there any specific rooms with standard rooms with views of Spaceship Earth? Please tell me floor and room numbers. Also, how is the convenience of refilling your mugs. Did you get your money's worth?

I saw it somewhere where you could get a small pontoon (8 people) at the Y&B for a birthday cruise for $120. I can't find it now. The only thing I'm seeing now is the one for $220 for up to 12 people. Does anyone know about the $120 cruise? Did they discontinue this?

Badger Brent I think the refillable mugs are worth it if you get plan to get drinks every day. You can get coffee and soda refills in the morning at Ale & Compass. In the afternoon and evening, soda refills are available at Hurricane Hanna's and Beaches & Cream takeout. I got 1 refillable mug for the week (our family was 4) and got myself soda in the mornings and lemonade in the afternoons for me and the rest of the clan. I don't think it would have been worth it to buy more than 1 as we didn't end up drinking too much. The convenience aspect is really dependent on where your room is and how far you're willing to go to get your refills. Our room was convenient to both Ale & Compass and Hurricane Hanna's so it was great.

I had booked a standard room but was luckily upgraded at checkin to a waterview room on the 1st floor.

Lucky you!! I'm wishing for the same. We will buy one mug at least. We have one from every onsite hotel we stay at. Got to have my diet coke you know....:hyper:

Disneyolic....how did you like the first floor... we are going to stay there in June and thinking of requesting first floor....where were you located...were you near SAB??? was it easy to get to the pool..... thanks..amy

corvair We loved the 1st floor. We also traveled with my parents and inlaws and they had rooms right next to us. It was really nice to be able to sit outside and just walk next door. Our boys (age 2 & 4) loved to romp in the grassy area just outside our room so we could just sit on the patio and watch them. Our room was 1075 and was located closest to the marina. It was just a short walk to SAB though. I would definitely want to stay at this same location again. A couple of times we even walked over to the boardwalk on the lake (walkway, not THE BoardWalk) from just outside our patio, not bothering to lock up. We could watch the room from where we were.

Badger Brent We definitely were lucky with that upgrade. I really was almost in happy tears when we found out where our rooms were. Also, I was a Diet Coke person, too, every morning when I was there.

Hi, I just have a quick question. I was at the BCV this past June and am going again Dec. 30th-Jan4th. We bought 4 mugs and I was wondering if I can use them on this trip?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Ok, not sure if you all would want this but I wrote a little database for us Wilderness Lodgers to know who's going and when.

Please read the following, take a look at the link, and let me know if you would all be interested in having access to this for the Yacht and Beach Clubs as well.

Thanks.

Fred

=======================================

I created a database system that will allow you to enter the dates you are going and search to see who else will be there when you are going!! I call it, "Who's Going".

Currently, you can only use Wilderness Lodge or Villas at Wilderness Lodge but if this takes off, I can only assume that others will use it as well and I will add hotels / resorts.

There are 3 main pages.

1) The main search page. You can search based on a number of criteria but you don't need to use ALL of them. For example, if you wanted to see who is going in January of 2004 you would select January as the month and 2004 as the year.

2) The ADD records page. This is obviously where you would add your stay information. Take note of the password you use as you can use it later to edit or remove your record.

3) The EDIT record page. This is where you can return to change your dates OR delete your entry if need be. Make sure you use the password you entered on the add record page.

I have tested it and I am sure it could still use some work. How about you all take a few and go fill out your dates and let me know if I can do anything to make it easier or if there is something missing as far as directions / instruction go.

I think this will be fun.

I added the following to the database tonight:

Swan
Dolphin
Beach Club
Beach Club Villas
Yacht Club

So...if you're going and want to know "who's going", go enter your dates!!! The link is in my signature.

Take care everyone and enjoy!

Fred

Majestic I think this is a great idea. Just wish it was available before I went a couple of weeks ago. Oh well...next time.

Great idea!
Please do the caribbean beach, and the pop. It will be fun to know whos going when we are.

Ok, I added ALL of the hotels just to make it easier. :)

Now anyone and everyone can know who's going! :teeth:

Spread the word people!

Enjoy everyone. Just sharing the wealth. Wilderness Lodge is my favorite but I couldn't help but make this little project have a broader scope.

richard The original poster probably got rid of his website or the pictures are no longer available from whatever website they came from.

I have some pictures of the Yacht Club but not sure if this link will work. Try it...

We have three kids ages 5,6, 6. Would it be better for us to be on the first floor of the Yacht Club so they can run around on the grass outside the patio of the room or would it be better to be up a few floors to see the fireworks better?
