This is SUCH a newbie question (sorry!) RE: Base Ticket..

For our first family trip to WDW in November we'll only be doing MK. Under the base ticket I understand you can go *one* of the 4 parks each day. So can we go to the same park for all 4 days?

Yes you can go to the same park each day.....that's what were planning on doing. Just the MK for us this time...but then again were only there for 2 days.

Did you buy a package with the "base" tickets? Or did you purchase them on their own? I ask because we got a package with what I thought was the "base" tickets...but turned out to be base hoppers It's not what we wanted...and I'm thinking of talking to our TA about changing them...but when I asked another TA in the office (our TA was out for the day) she said we COULD NOT get just the "base" tickets with a package...that we HAD to get hoppers. Come to find out...it only cost each of the adults about $8 a day...and the kids only $6 more per day.

You can get just the base tickets with a package. We have the package with free dining for our trip next month and we only got 1 day base tickets (we already have 3 day hoppers from another source). If you only plan on going to MK, I would pursue switching your tickets to base...every little bit saved helps!!

Wellll, because there's so much to do in MK that I think we'd have enough to fill the 4 days...especially with two young children in tow.

I'll have to call back to AAA and ask them about the base tickets...maybe it's with the packages they (AAA) does.

Michelle, yes you can do MK all four days. The nice part is if you do decide you would like to go to the other parks, you have that option. Have fun!!!

No- once you start using your tickets, you have 14 days before they expire... you can use your days at any time within those 14 days.

I've got a somewhat related question.
I got my grandparents 7 day base tickets, without the park hopping. We have annual passes.
If we decide to go ahead and go to two parks in one day, instead of getting the park hopping option is it possible to use one of the other days on the pass to go to another park? In other words use 2 days in one day? I know this probably seems like a waste of days, but it would be cheaper than getting the hopping option, since we will probably only do it once.

Unfortunately, no, you can't use two "days" worth of tickets to visit two parks in one day. Once your ticket has been scanned for the day at a park, it won't work in another park's turnstiles. To be able to hop- for even one day- you'd have to pay for the hopping option.
