First let me say that I'm so glad to hear that you and your family stayed safe and dry during those awful storms. Seeing the pictures of all the damage on the news was just terrible, glad you weren't effected!

Love all of your purchases, looks and sounds like you've got everything covered - your trip is so close now!

Your bedroom looks great. I have that same olive green that you painted over in my entry, living room and main hallway. We have light carpet though and huge windows that let in a ton of light, so that helps keep that 'cave' feeling away. I do love that light blue and brown color combination - so pretty!

Hooray for 2 weeks!!! Are your girls getting so excited?

They are soooo excited!!!

Yay for 2 weeks! It also means our trip is closer.

We thought of Garden Grocer for this trip, but I think we are just going to go to Sam's or WalMart after we get there. Thank goodness we don't need a stroller, but OSR is definitely the way to go in those regards, especially since the cost of the park strollers went astronomical!

I know!! Isn't it exciting?! Yes! OSR's prices are great!!!

Hi Becky! I'm about a week behind so I've got a lot to comment on! Here goes!

I'm loving all of the shopping pics! Both clothes and other necessities. I always love making my Target run before a vacation - so much more fun than regular Target runs! And the crocs for the girls are so adorable! You wear crocs in the parks, right? Do you like them? I am eternally on the search for the perfect pair of park shoes (or walking shoes for that matter) so I love hearing about what other people like!

I love the new color of your bedroom! Mine is the same color! In fact, blue and brown is probably one of my favorite color combos. Before I moved into my current house I lived in a very modern high rise condo and my entire condo was done in blue and brown. I've had my bedroom that color for 4 years now and I've never gotten tired of the colors. Great choice!

Congrats on getting GG and the stroller orders taken care of! I can't believe your trip is only 2 weeks away!

Yes, Crocs are all I take for shoes for me!! So comfy and they worked great last year with all of the rain!

Your trip is getting so close! I'm so jealous. We got back yesterday and I'm already missing it so much. Lily keeps asking to go back to Disney World and Magic Kingdom. Wonder if I can convice the hubby to go back somewhat soon?

So sorry I wasn't able to check in this weekend!! But I hope everyone had a very Happy Mother's Day!! Here's what we had going on this weekend!

Saturday started out with dance pictures for both of the girls! It was hectic trying to get TWO girls dressed, hair done, and made up this year but they ended up looking so cute!! Claire did NOT want curlers in her hair so I had to hold her down while I put them in! Hopefully it will be easier for recital now that she knows what's going on! Here she is with curlers for the first time!!

Claire in her tap costume! I have no idea what they're dancing to yet but they will have "Big Sisters" (older, experienced dancers) that dance with them!!

It took TWO hours to get pics done (probably b/c the girl's in Claire's class are so young and it is their first experience with dance pics)!! We headed home, ate lunch, and then headed to Jackson, TN to be with my mom for Mother's Day!! (about an hour from where we live)

My Mother's Day started out poorly, unfortunately. We woke up really early b/c my parent's wanted to go to the early service at their church which started at 8:30!! We're starting to get ready and Brent offers to paint my toenails for me (he does a really good job--don't laugh)!! So I hand him the fingernail polish and he drops it all over my parent's guest bathroom!!! Hot pink polish on the tile, rug, door, and in the hall carpet!! YIKES!! He frantically starts to clean it up but I didn't have any fingernail polish remover. So he gets in the van to go buy some and backs my van into the brick wall on the outside of my parents garage!!! He scratched up my bumper pretty good! Uggh! I was NOT happy at that point! So he gets back and I'm in tears but we continue to get ready for church. He gets the polish cleaned up--had to repaint the door but somehow he got it completely out of the tile and carpet! Had to buy another rug, though. So we go to church and then Sunday School with my parents. After church we went out to eat at the Doubletree Hotel--we had reservations for their Mother's Day Brunch! It was sooo good and sooo much food!! YUMMY!! Then we went back to my parent's house and took some pics!

My gift from Brent was sent to me on my phone! He had gotten me tickets to see the musical "Beauty and the Beast" in Nashville in June!! He had e-mailed me the ticket information on my phone!!

I'm very excited!! I haven't seen B&B in years!! And it will be a first for the girls!! So all in all my day was great (minus the drama before church)!! I hope each of my Mommy DIS friends had a wonderful Mother's Day as well!!

Drama aside, I'm glad you had such a lovely Mother's Day! Someone drove into my rear bumper in the mall parking lot a few days ago and scratched it pretty good-- makes me furious at the decency of people! Of course no one left a note or anything. I hope the repairs to your car aren't too expensive!
I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast!! I saw it several times on Broadway and adored it. I bet your girls will love it-- they liked the DHS show, right? I'm sure you all will have a wonderful time!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day (minus the nail polish drama and van dents).

Would you believe Eliabeth did the same thing last year when we were at the beach? She went to shake that bottle, and it flew out of her hand and hit that tile floor---SPLAT--nail polish all up her leg, shorts, all over the floor and baseboards. Kevin ran out and got polish remover, and we scrubbed and scrubbed. Poor Elizabeth's legs looked horrible, where we rubbed so hard getting that polish off. Everything came out, exceptfor the polish on Kevin's shoes, which happened to be sitting in the floor.

Sorry your Mother's Day didn't start off too well. The rest of your day looked wonderful! We saw Beauty and the Beast when it was playing up in Toronto when I was in HS. It was amazing!!!

Love your girls in the dance costumes. My studio has pictures today and tomorrow (all of my classes are tomorrow...thank goodness). Speaking of that, I still need to figure out what to wear for the teacher picture (we just wear all black)!!! When do your girls have their recital?
