Hi Becky, Hope you had a good Sunday! I was curious if I could get the name of your travel agent. This our first time staying onsite and we want to do the dining plan. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and I was hoping someone could help me out with the details. We haven't booked yet, but are looking to do so in the next week or so. I would appreciate it, if you don't mind!

I love your "snow day" pictures Becky. I can't believe school was cancelled! You can still see grass!!!! Around here, that's a normal winter day.

This was my backyard about a month ago. It was a Sunday, but even if it had been a school day, we would have had school. We got about 4-7 inches on Wed and Thurs last week and the city isn't even fazed by it. I always have to laugh a little bit when I hear about southern cities getting an inch of snow and the whole city shutting down. I know it's not a common occurance, but it still makes me laugh!

That wasn't even a bad day!!! I thought for sure we might have a snow day last week. Not because of the snow, but because it was only 12 degrees outside and with the windchill it was around -5. But nope, we had school. We usually have to have a windchill of -20 or more to have no school due to temperature.

Thanks Meghan!! Those are GREAT pics!! WOW! I know, I know!! Southerners are just not used to snow of any sort!! We aren't equipped to handle snow and ice down here--that's why schools are closed--the roads are too dangerous. Like today--school was cancelled again. A lot of the snow melted yesterday but everything refroze overnight. Crazy, I know!! I'm just glad we'll be in WDW when everyone else is making up the snow days!!

Hey Becky! So ya'll's schools are closed again today? We are back in school today...wondering if we'll have to make up this past Friday. We had enough days to not have to make up the first two days we missed during the first week of January, but I don't know about this one. We have some partial days during the first of April, that may become a full day, to make up for the lost time.

I'm like you.....I'm going to Disney, so don't add them on to the end of the year!

Yes!! Schools are closed again today!! It was all melting yesterday but then froze again last night. They actually made the calls early yesterday evening (nice not to get a call at 5:30 am). Memphis City Schools are open, though. We're in the county and have a lot of rural roads that are still dangerous. We've been out 3 days now for snow--2 this past week and 1 several weeks ago when we got a very LIGHT dusting of snow! I'm sure they'll add them to the end of the year--they did last year and the kids had to go back after Memorial Day!! We're leaving on the 22nd regardless!!

We do seem to have the same school schedule!! I say that every year--that we start earlier and earlier!! It's crazy!! We'll either be starting in July or go to year-round school IMO!
