OMG, the closeup pic of Claire where she is kind of looking to the side (yes, I should have copied it here) is just GORGEOUS! The color of her coat makes her eyes look soooo blue! What little cuties - they look like they had a fun time in the snow. I just love snow days. We didn't get any from this system, it stopped just short of us. Its so fun to watch the school district names scroll by on the bottom of the tv screen while we are watching the Today show. The girls get so excited waiting for our name (and of course, bummed out if our district isn't called). Did you say you got an actual phone call? Talk about personal service!

Thanks Rebecca!! I sooo wish I had the same color eyes as Claire--mine are boring green. Yes, the girls had so much fun in the snow!! I did get a call!! It is a new thing they started this year. It's like a phone tree. They normally call around 5:30 am after they've made the decision to close school. However, I got a call early yesterday evening saying school was closed today b/c they had already made the decision. They also call you when your child is absent--I think it is more for the parents of older students--to cut down on kids skipping school. It's a really neat system!

Hi Michelle!! Well, Ally went back to school today! This morning our front yard was still covered in snow and our walk/driveway was still icy but the streets were fine. By the time we got home, everything had melted. I think the high today was around 50. Tuesdays are my busiest days! Claire goes to MDO, I volunteer at school, run errands, pick Claire up, pick Ally up, and then Ally has dance.

Oooh--what have you been purchasing?! Do share!!! Or have you done that already on your PTR? I need to go check it out!!

Hey Becky-

I just saw on another TR, that we'll be at Akershus on the same day within 15 minutes of each other. (That is, if I can drag my bunch out of the bed! )

Michelle--I was just looking at my ADR times and noticed that our ADR for Akershus was for 8:30 am--guess I was thinking of our time from last year. We'll still get there as early as possible so we should still run into each other!!

It is better to be safe than sorry when the school districts cancel schools! Hopefully they will not add days onto the end of school. If they do, will they let Ally miss them without too many issues?

I'm sure I lost a bit in the 10 pages of chatter.... but I love that you guys are moving forward w/ the Holiday trip the end of this yr...

if you stick w/ your dates. You will be arriving on our last full day Sat. 11-27...depending on what you do that day...maybe we can sneak in a Dis-meet...we won't be too far from each w/ us at BLT...tentaively I think we'll be spending the day at Epcot.

we head out the following morning on the 28th...don't know times yet because we will be flying Southwest and can't most likely book till June...waiting for the dates to open up!

I have been in the WL once on a past trip and it is just breaktaking (as are most of the resorts) We are thinking of eating at WCC on Thanksgiving.

I love the clothes...awesome scores on the clearance items...that is the way to buy.

also the whole AP thing....DH and I are purchasing AP's just for us as we'll be returning in late Sept/early Oct of 2011 for our anniversary trip...

now it's different for DVC members as we'll use our discount when we purchase but I'm planning to try and buy before the prices change in August to keep the current "09" prices...and they don't go into effect till the 1st time we use them for admittance in the parks...at least that is my understanding...

I know just from what I have priced out it is a savings to get the AP for us vs 2 diff set's of tickets on each trip.

as far as Claire...yes she will need a ticket at age 3 for the Nov/Dec trip and you will need to pay for her for the dinning plan...everyone in your room has to be on the same plan regardless of packages...

If you buy her child pass before the prices go up in August and just hold it, you may save a little money...When are you booking the WL trip? I'd call Disney and ask what is the best way to work it all out...

Just coming to ask you about the red Belle costume you got Ally for Christmas. I was reading someone's Christmas Trip Report and saw that her girls had the red and yellow too. I noticed that you wrote me back on the comments and that you had to search for the costume! I agree...yours is MUCH prettier than the one from this year. I love the gathered material and roses, just beautiful. Did you buy it off of a one time seller, or a company? Thanks girl

Oh and still working on our dates. My professor "could not give me a direct answer" because she has not made out our syllabus yet. She said come back and ask her towards April or May

Exactly!! There were lots of back roads that were still too dangerous. If they do add days it will not be an issue for Ally to miss.

Uggh!! The Belle Christmas dress--what a mess that was to find! I bought it on Ebay but once I bought it the seller said that the one he had was ripped (the only one in a 7/8). So he searched and found some other seller who had it and had her mail it to me. It came very close to the time we left for AL--very stressful. But yes, you can search on Ebay b/c the dress is now discontinued even in the parks.

Uggh!! Your professor sounds like a pain! Doesn't she realize that you will have to make your ADRs in May if you are going around Thanksgiving?! C'mon lady!!
