My dad was diagnosed a year ago with stage 3 esophageal cancer. It was a rough start but by spring was feeling well enough to go on a family cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary with all the kids and grandkids. We had a wonderful time and will treasure those moments always. Then in August he went through his scans and found out he is now stage 4 as it as spread to his bones and small spots on his lungs. He is choosing to do chemo again and is doing really well with it this time. We all thought since he is so positive right now we would plan a really happy family Christmas.
Well I guess I put a crimp in those plans. Last week I had another major heart attack. Unlike the last one they fixed this one with angioplasty and stents. I am tired of hearing I am to young for this to be happening. And while I am thrilled I did not need bypass this time, we do know the old bypasses are failing. Please keep our family in your prayers, We really want the holidays to be very special this year.
Thanks,
Kathryn
