thinking ahead

I'm thinking ahead a bit. I've been to wdw a few times and soon to go on my second disney cruise. We thought about visiting disneyland for our next big trip. Due to older dd starting school next year here is what I was thinking. April school vacation week ( This year's vacation week is April 16-24 usually same week. If we go in 2006 dd will be 5, little one 22 months or we can go in 2007 dd almost 7,little one almost 3.

I was thiking 3 days disneyland/california adventure, 1 day knotts berry farm, 1 day san diego zoo, 1 day legoland maybe one down day. probably stay good neighbor hotel like candy cane inn?

Would that time of year be too crowded? How is the weather? Is it really hot/humid. Is it too cold for swimming. Is 3 days enough for disney or should we give up another attraction.

Are the disneyland dining options plans worth it?

We would be coming from Massachusetts. I like Jet Blue but is long beach anywhere close to Disney or should I fly another airline to fly into lax.

Spring break is generally a more crowded time to go, but many schools do spring breaks different weeks, so that might cut down on the crowds. CA is rarely humid (and I don't think I've ever seen high humidity or what we consider high humidity last all day in April unless it's very cool), so that's not an issue. Could be hot or not--April can be very warm, on the cool side, or right in between. I wouldn't do less than 3 days at DLR if you've never been before, but a 4th would be better. The only area for little kids at Knott's is Camp Snoopy and you can pretty much get through that in a couple hours, so you might want to think about taking Knott's off the list unless one or more of the adults is really into roller coasters. Long Beach is closer to DL than LAX is. OC/John Wayne is even closer.
