The touring plan I'm currently working on leaves me with 45 minutes of down time between Soarin' and lunch reservation at Garden Grill. Any ideas for little things to do in that area during that time?

Do you have Living with the Land on your plans? It's in the pavilion and is an interesting ride.

Over by the exit for Journey into Imagination, there are water jets that I loved as a kid and now my kids love them!

FYI, If you do go over to the Seas, you can walk around the left, through the gift shop and skip the ride to save time.

After Soarin, we always go ride Living with the Land. You can also walk over to the Living Seas. Both are good options to burn time.

Is there 45 minutes between the time you plan to scan in to Soarin, or from the time you think you will be off of Soarin. Soarin itself is about 5 minutes- but it also involves typically waiting in the loading zone another 5 minutes, and possibly even a short line before you get there with FP+. Living with the Land is a 15 minute ride. Looks like you are talking later in the Morning since it is before a lunch ADR. Assuming you are talking about the time you get off Soarin and you have a 10 minute wait for Living with the Land--and it would probably be anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes at that time of day--then that would be about 35 minutes of the 45, and then you could just check in to Garden Grill a few minutes early. We really enjoy Living with the Land. DD was 2 on her first ride, and I wondered whether she would like it, but she absolutely loved it...something about those greenhouses.

If you do wind up with extra time to walk to another building, then there is the Figment ride (Journey Into Imagination) which might still have a short line on the building on one side, and the Nemo ride (which used to be walk on-but now can have a pretty good length line in the mornings) and the aquariums on the building on the other side.

I think this tour is an hour, so that would be a little too long.

I agree with everyone in here. The amount of time it takes to walk between the Land and the Seas/Imagination is very minimal. That whole side is full of stuff you can spend time doing. I personally would get on a leisurely LwtL ride (probably twice), but I agree with leapfrog fountains and the aquarium .. who knows, if you time it perfectly you could even do the Pixar shorts!

Living With the Land which is in The Land.
Or you could go over to The Seas.
Or you could go over to Imagination.
Or you could do the Character Spot.
Plenty of attractions.

Isn’t Club Cool in that area?

ETA: Just checked it out and it’s in the building directly across from The Land. Sample soft drinks from around the world!

Living with the Land. It never gets old.
We sometimes pop over to look around the Art of Disney store. It’s no further than Club Cool but in the opposite direction.
