my kids (well my DD) wanted ice cream from Up in hanover tonight... LOL, like I said we avoid Hanover like the plague... On the way up I was telling my husband about the Famous Weiner... LOL

:rotfl2: I think they have ICECREAM!!:lmao:

I can't wait until tomorrow!! We are going after lunch to get another snowball. I'll take pictures!!:lmao:

what snowball place are you going too? Love pictures!! Can't wait to see more!

oh my goodness, was your hubby dying in jeans!

:lmao:YES!! He is used to it though, he even wears them at DISNEY!!! It drives me crazy!!:rolleyes1 It was even hot out there for us today though, as we walked aimlessly through that area.

We need to go early, and head to the aquarium first, then we want to eat some where then head to Vaccaros for dessert. Now, if we can just pick a day for it. We are planning to go to DC next weekend, and I can't wait for that. He is supposed to be getting me a map so we can plan ahead of time what we want to see & do. No more of that like today. I felt like we wasted a day, going without a better plan. It's OK though, we still have plenty of time. Thank goodness. :)

Thank you for hanging in here with me. It has made this adventure so much more fun & you have helped me so much!!

Vaccaros is YUMMMMMMYYY! There is also one in Hunt Valley if you guys head over to the movies there!
I am enjoying your trip as much as you are!! :lmao:
It was a 102 degrees earlier today. I would have died!

Hunt Valley?? I need to look that up. Would that be easier for me? The kids are wanting to go see the new Twilight movie and I have got to find a good theater for it. Would the one in Hunt Valley be good for that too?

I checked on the tanning bed next to DH's drycleaner and they were expensive. 50.00 for 10 visits. Is that a normal price up here? I normally get monthly packages for less than that. I may be sitting by the pool more. :rotfl2:

Hunt Valley is a decent theater... it's alot Newer than westminster!:thumbsup2
Lots of places to eat there, and have desert:worship:! You take 795, go left onto 695...then take the 83 North exit... its up 83 you will see signs for Hunt valley/shawan road. Take the first Exit for Hunt V... its on the left sign... movie theater is around the back... but you can park in the front or the back...
Have fun!
Yes and Tanning in my opinion is expensive! I've payed about 100 a month. so 50 sounds about right for 10. MD is expensive thats for sure..

fyi... U took 83 SOUTH to go to the harbor.. DO NOT get off that exit... North is farther up!

I pulled a map up on mapquest and it said it's about 30 mimutes away.:thumbsup2

We have planned to go to DC this weekend but now DH is thinking that it will be very busy because of it being a holiday weekend. What do you think? Do you think that we should put it off a week & go to Hershey Park this weekend, or just go ahead & go to DC? I am thinking Hershey Park will be packed too, but with him being off on Monday, it may be a good time to go. I have no idea what to do!!:rotfl2:

It's funny because I am so great at planning our Disney vacations, but I STINK at this!! It's to much unknown for me!!:lmao:

It won't take 30 mins from Owings Mills to get to HV... You'll get there faster than that! Don't worry!
Anything you decide to do will probably be crowded/busy this weekend. I'd just pick one and do it! Hershey may be a bit more crowded than DC, only because the season is just really starting for Hershey. They aren't open all year round. Where as people have had there fill of DC... It will be crowded though wherever regardless!

Somebody told me once that Hershey is LEAST crowded on major holidays. Might be something to check into. Hmm, I wonder if there is a Hershey discussion board somewhere?

Fourth of July is pretty big at Hershey, they do fire works and all that and are open late on Saturdays in the month of July.
Labor Day is prob slow because Most schools are back in session... but the 4th is def a mad house! I did it before kids! I don't have the nerve at my old age of 34!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:old age of 34!! I'm 41 and I am feeling it!:lmao: Just kidding. I still feel young, but I am with you on the crowd thing. My guess is that Hershey park is going to be packed too. DH talked about going to Harpers Ferry, but I just know that the kids are wanting to do something FUN! You know???? He is driving me crazy!!!! :rotfl: I have got to come up with a plan and stick to it. I guess we will decide tomorrow when I have had more time to get on here and plan something.

This makes me love Disney even more!!:lmao:

If you check out the local weather on TV, the weather is supposed to become much cooler the next few days - I think low to mid 80's. Your trip to the Inner Harbor will be much nicer.

While it is going to be a bit cooler, you may want to visit the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore - it's not free like DC, but it is closer and I have visited it many times without DH with kids. You can take food with you, so you might want to pack a lunch. We like to eat at the picnic tables on the hill above the elephants. There is a baby elephant (Sampson) we like to watch play while we eat. They do sell food there if you decide not to pack. You will probably see signs for it if you travel on 83 South to the Inner Harbor. Just my two cents for this week!

Oh, almost forgot... Also - fyi at the Regal Theatres there are FREE kids movies on Tues and Weds at their 10:00am showing. Each week there are 2 different movies to choose from. I think Westminster 9 or Hunt Valley would be closest to you. http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx?state=MD

We saw the signs for the zoo on our way to the Harbor the other day. That may be something to think about. :thumbsup2

I will google Regal Theaters to see where they are. That would be great to take them to a free movie, even if it is older. :rotfl2: They just need to get out of this apartment, you know. :thumbsup2

I am thinking about taking them back to the harbor and doing the aquarium on Sat, and maybe Harpers Ferry on Sunday then something simple on Monday. I am trying to keep everyone happy.:upsidedow It's hard to do sometimes. :rotfl2:

my 2 cents: Both DC an Hershey will be crowded. I responded to you on the other post - we love Dutch Wonderland but I think your older kids will be bored. You might be better off going to hershey during the week if you can swing it. you should come to catonsville on saturday for the parade in the afternoon at 3pm and great fireworks at night! nice small town fourth celebrations.:goodvibes If you have to go on a weekend, i would go to hershey this weekend and go to dc next weekend. if you are hanging around baltimore, i would see what they have going on for the fourth. how long are you staying again - is it the whole summer? (sorry, just started following this thread).

snowballs are great! we have a stand in catonsville that everyone goes to and they are so cheap.

we love the maryland zoo and pack our lunch all the time. it usually isnt very crowded if you go in the morning.

Hunt valley is nice, the theater is nice, and they have my favorite grocery store - WEGMANS! love that place.

THAT PLACE IS WONDERFUL CARLA! I LOVED that place when I lived over there! There is actually ONE other place that is BETTER than that... SNOASIS... it is in Cockeysville...which is right before HUNT VALLEY.. IF you go to the movies in HUnt V... I would stop there after! You can take York Road to Padonia road from the movies... OR get back on 83 go south and get off the exit that says Padonia Road...Turn left at exit (east) Go through York Road and its the road after on the left(greenside drive will get u into the parking lot easiest)... across the street is a MARS grocery store. It is the BEST snowball IN MD! Second best is the one on Liberty Road! :thumbsup2

We are still trying to decide what to do. I know DC will have to wait due to the holiday. We will be here until the last week in July. DD has a concert to attend in Atlanta on July 27th so we need to head back a few days before that. DH will be here until the 29th. Thank you for joining in!! I need all of the help that I can get!! :)

OK!! I can't believe that there are better snowballs out there, but I have got to try it to see.:lmao: Lauren didn't finish all of hers yesterday, so I finished it for her last night!

The snoasis guy has mastered his snowball over the last 30 years! Each year the Ice in it gets BETTER and Better! He has the best Ice shaver machine on earth! LOL:rotfl2:
Man all this talk about snowballs... I may have to stop there on the way home from White Marsh Mall today! LOL
