Can anyone tell me about Cascade Lake. Someone told DH about it at work and said that they kids may like it. I pulled it up & it looks like fun, but I would like your input about it. It's something cheap to do during the week. ??

You sure do like it here in Carroll county don't you! This is 2 miles from my house. I have never swam there though but people rave about it. I like clear water being from Florida so I don't do lakes! Lol the area I have been in for picnicking is very pretty. The kids would prob love it. There is a similar type place in cockeysville called beaver dam. Cascade in my opinion looks better.

That's funny! Mike said that it was close by us so I thought the kids may like it. I am a pool lover myself, but it looks like fun for them.

Funny story!! My BFF got to my house today to get DD's drivers license. She had to go into the house to get the keys to the car. Lauren's ID was in the car. So, she get's inside and can't get the alarm off so she called me. I'm like freaking out because she is doing it right, but it wont stop going off. Then the home phone rings and it was ADT. Thank goodness she answered it, but I couldn't remember the PASSWORD for the alarm company!! So now they are disconnected, and I know they are calling the police so I freak! Well, my kids heard me and I am like put in XXXX off!!, they are like MOM, You changed it!! So, I gave her the new code & it stopped, I felt so bad!! It was funny though. In the meantime, I called ADT from here to get the police stopped. My son said "you were trying to get your best friend arrested!!". That would have been BAD!! I bet she wanted to KILL me!!

My life is crazy, but that's how I roll!!

We spent the day at Harpers Ferry today. We drove down and had lunch at a little Mexican Place there close to Food Lion and it was very good. Then we headed over to Harpers Ferry park. I loved the bus ride, it's the closest that I have felt to being at DISNEY yet!

I loved it too!! There were a bunch of people there today and we saw a bunch of people biking there too. That would be tough with those hills!!

We are trying to decide what to do tomorrow. I NEED BBQ!!!!! How can you go through the 4th of July with out BBQ???

Hey, is Six Flags America still open? It is in MD somewhere outside DC. My dd went there last year and she said it was a great park. Something else for you to look into.

I have heard about Six Flags America here. My children are really wanting to go to Hershey Park. We still have not decided when we will go yet. DH hates parks like that. He loves Disney, but hates Six Flags over Georgia and parks like that. I am not sure what to do. He said it's to far for me to do a day trip. Any advice??

Happy 4th of JULY!!!! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!! We don't have plans for the day yet. I guess we will play it by ear.

You can totally do hershepark in one day! I would never stay over night and do the park two days in a row. The only reason I have ever stayed in Hershey was to do the hotel Hershey spa and the park the day before. Totally a one day event. It's nit far at all and it's not on Disney caliber either!!

It takes about an hour and a half to get there. Also, another day trip for you and the kids is to go to the Outlets in Lancaster... Rockvale Square, and Tanger Outlets...They are within a mile of each other both on 30... totally easy to find. I have friends in Philly I meet in Lancaster to shop with like once a month! That drive is about an hour for me cause I am alittle closer than Owings Mills.. But shouldn't be more than 1hour 20 for you to go to the outlets either.
Neither is hard to find, hershey or lancaster outlets!!

OK, I may try to take the kids on my own to Hershey Park. That is not to far away at all. I was thinking three hours or something.

You can find some good deals! I am obsessed with Pottery Barn outlet and Coach! LOL
The other mall between here and White Marsh is Towson Town Center
It's about 25 mins from Owings Mills!

I pulled it up on line & and it looks NICE!! I guess we will be headed there one day this week to check it out.

DH is off today, but we have one sick child so we will just be hanging out here today. I hope she is better soon.
