:rotfl2: Me too!! The funny thing is that my kids refuse to eat hotdogs because Lauren, my oldest, has told the other two what is really in them.:scared1: They do serve other things though, so DH may be the only one to even eat a weiner.

We are going to try it anyway. The pictures of the place look neat, and they have been there for years, so we will see. I just hope that we don't get sick because I am looking forward to Sunday & going to the harbor. I'll give a full review when we get back! I may even post it on tripadviser!! :lmao:

I need to find a good tanning bed!!!!:upsidedow

When I lived in new town I used to tan off owing mills blvd. It was across from the blvd Bldg where outback is. I don't know if it's still there. It was last year when I passed by. There is a Hollywood tans in Westminster next to old navy.

Thank you!! I will check it out next week.

We spent the day by the pool and it was so nice out there today. The kids wanted to go get another snowball so we ran up there a few minutes ago to get one. OMG!!! I took your advice and tried the chocolate with the marshmello and it was WONDERFUL!!! That's my favorite and I will never try any thing else. :rotfl2:

It's DINNER TIME! Have you arrived at the famous weiner? ! LOL

:rotfl2: We just got home!! We went there on the way to Gettysburg for lunch, and I thought about you!! :lmao: Want my review?? Well, the town was very cute. It was bigger than I thought it would be. I liked the building, the decor was fresh & looked nice, inside & out. They were pretty busy so we were hopeful.

We ordered our food. My kids had chicken fingers, fries & honeymustard and Dr. Pepper to drink. DH had a combo, one hotdog & one hamburger & some fries. I had a chilli dog & water. The chicken fingers were pretty good. They taste just like the ones at Disney to me. The fries were also good. My chilli dog however was kind of gross. I only at a couple of bites. It was crunchy.... I couldn't even cut it with a fork. :lmao: Plus, the chilli had no tast to it at all.

Now DH, being the sweetheart that he is, had ordered a combo hamburger & hotdog. Well they brought out what looked to be two hotdogs. He didn't say anything, he was just going to eat it but later discovered that one really was a hamburger!!:rotfl: It was in a hotdog bun!! We all got a kick out of that. Anyway, he said that the food was "OK" to him, but we were all glad that we tried it.

I sat there and kind of laughed inside as I remembered some of the things in the tripadvisor review. I told Lauren, my 17 year old that I wanted her to read the reviews later to see if she agreed about what they had to say. That should be pretty funny!! She will kill me for taking her there.:lmao: Oh, I also said a prayer that we would not get sick! :thumbsup2

After leaving there we headed to Gettysburg. It didn't take long at all to get there from Hanover. We had to park pretty far away from the visitors center, but we enjoyed the walk. DD saw a snake on the side of the path. We bought passes to watch the movie and for the museum. We all loved it. I couldn't get over how nice it was in there. They were very busy today too. After that we drove and took the car tour through. We stopped at a few and then we headed on home. We did stop by Chick fil a to grab some dinner because the kids were getting hungry. Anyway, over all we had a great day. I'll post a couple of pictures on here in a little while. I have one of the hotdog place. :rotfl:

I am looking forward to tomorrow & going to the Harbor. :dance3:

Not yet, do you know of any? I think tomorrow we are going to tour the ships. I may take the kids back later in the week to go to the aquarium. I mainly want to walk around and see what it's like.

Also, have you seen the new show that's about to start on TLC called DC Cupcakes? I have told the kids that we have got to find that place. Wouldn't that be a fun photo spot! Yummy too!!:lmao:

SO funny! I was just on the DC cupcakes website seeing how much they would cost to ship! HA
You guys should go, that would be so much fun!!
When we go downtown we usually eat at Cheesecake Factory. Little Italy is right around the corner from the harbor... but that can be expensive. Save that for a night with you and the hubby! There is a Hard Rock Cafe, but that food is just so so. Then there is a food court if you just want to grab something fast.
There are some other places too, Chipolte and stuff like that.

So today you were 20-25 minutes from my house when you were in Gettysburg and tomorrow you will be 15-20 minutes away from the house where I grew up. Of course at that time, there was no Inner Harbor (well, there was a harbor, but it wasn't a tourist attraction, it was for shipping). I used to hop the bus and go downtown to meet my father for lunch -- he worked at McCormick which overlooked the harbor-as-it-was. I used to love to go the tea room (or was it the board room?) and look through the scope. If I recall correctly, I could see the Bay Bridge from McCormick. That was the days when all of downtown smelled wonderful because of the spice processing that went on McCormick. We moved out of the city when I was 14. So much has changed. But my old neighborhood is still the same.

Aww.. that's neat! It sounds like you have some wonderful childhood memories from down that way. I think it's neat how you would meet your daddy for lunch. I was a daddys girl too. He passed away almost 15 years ago and I still miss him so bad. I teared up just writting that!

I am really getting excited about going there. I know we are going to do the ships.:sail: Do you know if it is worth it to do all four? or should we do something else? I know that I will take the kids back to do the aquarium later.

Also, DH is wanting to drive in.:scared1: Do you think this is a good idea, or not? I am a little worried about it now, that we will have a hard time finding a place to park. Any idea what we should do, or where we could park?

there are TONS of parking garages... I'd drive. I don't find the metro so safe...

We just got back from the Harbor. It was so HOT down there today, but I fell in love with it. It was nothing like I had pictured in my mind. We walked by the aquarium and around that area. I kind of had that lost feeling, you know, like your first trip to Disney and you have no clue what to do, that was me today. We had planned to do the ships, but we decided to skip them. After seeing the Aquarium, we have decided to go back and do that. We basicly just walked through and saw a few things. It was really to hot to to do much more than that. We went to the visitors center and we picked up a few things to help us find our way around.

I do feel better about going back by myself though. We found a nice parking deck, and this time I will know about where everything is. It didn't take long at all to get there and it was easy to find.:thumbsup2

I also would like to do a boat tour. I am about to look through some of those things aswell.

Also, DD is wanting to eat some crabs/crab cakes. Where should we go?

I am a Floridian so I can't stear you to the crab places. Lol I know Phillips down there is popular.
The ships are extremely hot in the summer. The submarine is deadly hot in summer. Lol. I say go for a boat ride those are fun!

We saw Phillips, & my FIL had told us about it too and said that it was good. He used to travel up here a few times a year with his job. Me & the two younger ones are not seafood people and I didn't see anything else on the menu for us.

I did read on here about Obryckis and I looked at their web site and looks pretty good. They have other things for us too, so we may give it a try.

Which Zoo is better, Baltimore or Washington?

Both Zoo's are nice. Washington Zoo is free though...LOL

I like free!!:rotfl2:

Here are the two pictures if the Famous Hot Weiner.
