Happy Single Digit Day!!!!
Yikes! I think I'm just a day behind you and I am not ready! So much work to do.

I can't wait for my escape from reality. Packing should be easy and I will have a rental car so I will be fine no matter what. It's been over 14 months since I've been. That's the longest I've gone since Emma was born.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with your PTR. Been working really long hours.

Everyone has an occasional off day when it comes to running - but you still did it so that is definitely something to be proud of! And regarding your breathing/side stitches, your body will need a little time to adjust to running in colder air. That is very common!

Dressing for outdoor running is tough. I once read a suggestion to dress like you think it's 10 degrees warmer than it actually is (so you may be cold at the beginning of your run but then will become more comfortable as you run more and warm up) and I think that's totally the way to go. I'm like you...I get warm quickly. I'd rather possibly be underdressed then overdressed!

So exciting that your trip is so soon! Yay!! :)

What the Hell! I have NOT gotten ANY notifications of updates! I have to come here to see what was going on! I was 8 pages behind i don't even know where to start about replying anything. Since i was so far behind i started to skim through.. then saw Suzi's update and my name came up.

**************************************************
Yes we do plan on seeing each other!!!
I hate talking about anything because i am SO AFRAID i am going to slip up and say something here that i am not supposed to. There are several variables going on that no one will find out until the trip reports come out! NA NA NA NA... See how we all keep you coming back for more?

See ---- like i can post this:

Is that too revealing?

OK i am going back into my own screwed up Pre-Trip Report where i don't mess anything up over here!

You guys have your single digit dance today!

Yes - they all had a great time, and divided all of their candy equally among them when they got home. It was a lot of fun!
That's great - sounds like a successful night! :)
Yeah the time change threw me off as well. I almost forgot to change my alarm clock!
I'm glad the weather was good enough for you to run, and I hope you had a good time with your cousin! :)

So excited for your trip! It's coming up so soon! As for the number on the scale....I have to really be careful about weighing myself because it does the same thing to me -- sends me into a total tailspin. I stepped on a scale at the doctor's office last week and had a panic attack. The number is higher than it's ever been. So I'm looking at making more changes, adding more exercise, and focusing on overall health and how my clothes fit instead of the number. It's so hard. And you are SO inspiring!

Sounds like a good idea to run on a trail where there is a lot of people.
I hope you have a great day with your cousin.

I was at the doctor today to get my Handicap Parking Permit renewed. Since I already was there I said that I find it odd that all my test came back ok. Then the doctor said not all. You are allergic to cats. WHAT :scared1: oh well that doesn't change anything. Then the doctor asked Do you have any cats? Yes I had 3, but now there is only one left and she is going nowhere. And by the way my plan is to have more cats in the future.
To be honest I have suspected that I'm a little allergic to cats because I often have a stuffy nose when I get up after one nights sleep. But I just blow my nose when I get up and then I'm fine for the rest of the day. My mother and brother is allergic to cats so it runs in the family.

Thank you! It was a fun and relatively easy costume to do and I was pretty comfortable the whole night. We had Trick or Treaters at our building this year and they all loved my outfit. LOL

I just realized that I think you'll be at WDW (God willing!) when I'm at Disneyland! It's going to be our first trip there and we're very excited! Come to think of it, I have two friends who will be at WDW that week as well! I wish I could be at both parks at the same time.

Well, I'm proud to say that I ran those wretched 9 miles this morning and did pretty well! My knee started absolutely killing me at around mile 7 but then it just went away on it's own. I've read that that could be from the wrong shoes so I'm thinking of getting fitted for my race shoes sometime this week. I ran a HORRIBLE 6K last May, the Palisades River Run, that had a 200 ft elevation (which I did not know about) and I thought my legs were going to fall off. You're lucky you have long trails by you! I mostly run in our local park that has about a 1 mile track but it can get a little boring. I could take the subway over to Central Park but the whole "taking the subway" is never an appealing choice. LOL

By the way, I just downloaded this book: http://www.amazon.com/Magical-Miles...id=1446492374&sr=1-12&keywords=running+disney I think the author was on the Be Our Guest podcast a few weeks ago and it sounds like a good read!

So exciting that you will be there soon! I'm sure it will be a great surprise. Your the. And now pictures look completely different. I can tell all the hard work you've put in. I agree with you, toss that scale away. You should be so proud of your healthy choices, you look beautiful.

LOL Mo :) That picture is way too revealing! But it's ok because you already let the cat out of the bag on messenger this morning. Now she knows we are staying at CBR....and she hates it :/

Happy Single Digit Day!!!!

I know I replied yesterday - but, this deserves an extra reply today!!! :woohoo: 8 days!!!!!

It seems like I am always starting off with a jacket and then tying it around my waist for most of the run. I like to run cold, too, but I want that jacket for when I start to cool down. We have a lot of runners in our neighborhood and the clothes they wear vary from "way too hot for me" to "you are going to freeze to death." I've learned over time what works for me and knowing the temperature and wind speed are key to it.

I was awake at 3:30am this morning. I knew I'd be in trouble with the time change because I usually wake up on the early side.

I'm very excited for your trip. It is such a nice time of the year to be in Florida.

True, I guess that's why I start off with a zip up type jacket - so then it's easy enough for me to get off.

Me too... I've decided to try and stay on my former schedule, for the time being - because I am just going to have to "spring ahead" next week again - and I would hate for my body to just get adjusted, to go back then to come back home - it will be a mess.

Me too - it seems like it's going to be quite warm while we are down there - I may have to rethink a bit of my packing strategy? :scratchin

Yikes! I think I'm just a day behind you and I am not ready! So much work to do.

Wahoo!!! I sent you a text yesterday - I know you are busy... But just touching base.

That will be awesome! I think we were there together - so it's been just as long for me - I feel your pain.

No worries!!! I am happy to see you when you can get here.

Everyone has an occasional off day when it comes to running - but you still did it so that is definitely something to be proud of! And regarding your breathing/side stitches, your body will need a little time to adjust to running in colder air. That is very common!

So exciting that your trip is so soon! Yay!!

Thanks! That's good to know - it was a very difficult run, but it's nice to know that I am not the only one who has issues running in the colder weather.

Yes - I do that - it's helpful, but most days, there is no way I'd be wearing a tank top when I add the extra 10°... I think I need to add 30° to my comfort level? LOL

I know - I am getting very excited! :woohoo:

What the Hell! I have NOT gotten ANY notifications of updates! I have to come here to see what was going on! I was 8 pages behind i don't even know where to start about replying anything. Since i was so far behind i started to skim through.. then saw Suzi's update and my name came up.

Hi there Mo-Mo!!! It's great to see you! I was beginning to wonder if you still loved me? I am super excited to see you in a few days - you have no idea!!!! We all just have to get through this last bit of craziness! ::yes::

That's great - sounds like a successful night!
Yeah the time change threw me off as well. I almost forgot to change my alarm clock!
I'm glad the weather was good enough for you to run, and I hope you had a good time with your cousin!

It was! :)

Yes - I've decided to boycott the time change for the next week - since I'll have to "spring ahead" when I go to WDW, might as well try to keep my body on the same sleep schedule until after I get home. I think it's pretty smart. :scratchin

Thanks - we had a good time... It was a short visit - just lunch - but it was still fun.

So excited for your trip! It's coming up so soon! As for the number on the scale....I have to really be careful about weighing myself because it does the same thing to me -- sends me into a total tailspin. Eeep - me too!!! I cannot wait!

I know the feeling - that darn scale can really make a person feel like crap... And it's so hard to ignore or get past it. I just try super hard to be healthy, and make good choices - then I wish really hard that everything else falls into place. :thumbsup2 So far - it seems to be working, most of the time.

Sounds like a good idea to run on a trail where there is a lot of people.
I hope you have a great day with your cousin.

I was at the doctor today to get my Handicap Parking Permit renewed. Since I already was there I said that I find it odd that all my test came back ok. Then the doctor said not all. Thanks! Yes - I am no running on busier trails, it's just safer.... I the summer - I will run on the other trail too, as it's very busy then.

What??? You are allergic to cats? That's awful! It seems like it's a manageable allergy though?

Yah - that was a great costume! I thought about wearing my Sparkle Skirt for Halloween too - but then my luck would be that I would forget to pack it for Disney... LOL So, I decided to go a different route.

Wahoo!!!! That will be kind of cool! I hope you have a great trip!

Yay!!! I am so proud of you - great job. Bummer about your knee though - have you tried KT tape? And YIKES on that elevation!!!! I do have long trails - which I am very thankful for, but I am getting to the end of the one trail - so I'll end up doubling up on it at some point in the near future. Yah - I can't imagine that taking the subway would be all that appealing... :scratchin

Yes - I think you are right! I may have to buy that book as well.... That would be a fun read for on my flight. :scratchin Thanks for the link.

So exciting that you will be there soon! I'm sure it will be a great surprise. Your the. And now pictures look completely different. I can tell all the hard work you've put in. I agree with you, toss that scale away. You should be so proud of your healthy choices, you look beautiful.

I know - I cannot wait - it's going to be so much fun!

Thanks! I've worked really hard - the true test will be if I look any different in my photopass pictures? :scratchin I feel like my face looks really different now older/thinner - so we'll see? I am pretty sure the rest of me won't look much different.

Thank you though - I do work hard, most of the time - or at least, I am conscious about working hard. LOL

LOL Mo :) That picture is way too revealing! But it's ok because you already let the cat out of the bag on messenger this morning. Now she knows we are staying at CBR....and she hates it :/

Ha!!!! Thanks for all the confusion my loves! :lovestruc

**********************************************************************************

Ok - just a super quick update.... Today is going to go by so fast! It's Tuesday and my plate is extra full today!

First off - yesterday was great! We enjoyed our time at the MOA - and we had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe with my Aunt, Cousin and her children... It was pretty delicious! ::yes::

Then, I came home and worked for a little while. Made dinner and vegged the rest of the night.

Today... Well, I work an odd and EARLY shift at Target... Thankfully it's a shorter shift too.

Then, I have my hair appointment immediately after...

Then BFF is picking V up from school for me - and having her waiting in the wings, so I can rush from my hair appointment to a Dr. appointment for V... It's going to be a LONG night!

I hope you all have an amazing day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all! :grouphug:

D~

Good luck getting everything done today! I'm here and reading along but I'm like Mo and worried I will give something away so I don't comment much.

I just got back from Florida last Monday and then five days later was the time change. That was a bit crazy to adjust to.

Me too - it seems like it's going to be quite warm while we are down there - I may have to rethink a bit of my packing strategy? :scratchin
Hold the phone - don't do anything yet. The same crazy Omega pattern giving most of the Midwest and eastern part of the country unseasonably high temps right now is being followed by really cold weather by the weekend. You can't look at the Florida weather forecast more than two days ahead of time. And their weather always lies anyway. Just plan on weather as hot as 90, as cold as the 50's, possible rain and possible sun. It is a less rainy time of year, so that should be good. :) And hopefully it will be sunny skies and temps in the high 70's and low 80's.

How great that you had a great time at MOA and Hard Rock Cafe
Sounds like today is going to be a hectic day for you. I hope it's not too bad.

I was surprised about the cat allergy. Yes the allergy is manageable so the cat is going no where :)

I had my car for the yearly service and oil change appointment. They said my car is not in good shape. I told them that this is the last year I'm driving this car. Then they said that if you're only keeping the car one more year they wouldn't advice me to use more money on it for repairs. I really hope I can get things moving with my new car soon. I'm calling the people about my new car tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that they tell me what I want to hear and that we can move forward with it now.

time.
I didn't get a text so I sent you one this morning.

A couple of things I didn't hear you discuss (I might have missed it) on your TR that you should be aware of.

Did you see they've changed APs? You bought an AP voucher so you're all set. You'll get photopass with your AP. That will save you some money over your next 3 trips!

Did you see that Disney is offering free shipping while we are there? If you ship a purchase home you don't pay FL sales tax.

Lunch is over...got to run to a meeting...

****************************************************************************************************

I really had a fabulous day yesterday.... It couldn't have been more amazing - to be honest. Aside from "leaving for Disiney day".... And there really wasn't much special about it.

First off - I decided that I was going to town to get a few groceries. I've been down on myself these last few days... I stepped on the scale the other night - and my weight took me by total surprise. I've gained 25 lbs this year!!!! I was feeling really crappy about it, and just completely overwhelmed and distraught. I kept questioning myself and how that could be? :scratchin I look at my clothes and everything I was wearing still fits (I have one pair of jeans that are slightly tighter)... The number I saw was awful. But as I was planning my grocery shopping trip to stock up on "good for me foods" - I got to thinking and it just didn't make sense. So here's a copy of my post on FB yesterday... I am sharing here, because I believe the message is an important one.

Not my typical progress post, please read.

After weighing myself the other night, I was very discouraged, and honestly heartbroken. My weight is higher than it's been in 2 years. I keep telling myself, this can't be right. I take very good care of myself, mostly eating high quality minimally processed foods, I lift heavy weights, I run, I sleep, I take days off. My health is one of my top priorities in life, and it's very important to me.

The photo on the right was taken this morning. The photo on the left was taken in 2013. In both photos, I weigh 191 lbs.

These 2 photos are absolute proof to me that what a person weighs is completely arbitrary. After all, a person can weigh 191 lbs and be a generous size 16. Or a person can weigh 191 lbs and be a size 10.

To those of you out there concentrating on the scale, I beg you to THROW IT OUT! What the scale tells you is of no importance, you should not let it control your efforts to be healthy or to stay healthy. Let your size and overall health be your determining factor.
:lovestruc

I've made this photo public for anyone who wishes to share it. I feel this message is profound.

2015-10-31_09.41.14.jpg

I just think the above message is so important, and it reconfirms what I've been saying for a long time. One of the main reasons I don't weigh myself, because just stepping on a scale like that - even though I feel great - is enough to send a person into a total tailspin. I purposely dressed up yesterday so Allison could take that picture of me.

That is such a powerful statement! I'm glad that you've thrown out your scale. 191 lbs. before and 191 lbs. now look COMPLETELY different and I'm sure they feel completely different too. Keep up the good (and hard) work. You know that your food choices and exercise are doing your body good, even if the dang scale doesn't see fit to go lower.

Good luck getting everything done today! I'm here and reading along but I'm like Mo and worried I will give something away so I don't comment much.

Thanks!!! It was a crazy day and I am exhausted. But all if good.

No worries... I am starting to think that everyone knows everything though. LOL

That does sound like a smart idea!

Cool! Hard Rock Cafe is such a neat place.

Good luck and with getting all your stuff done done. Enjoy the beautiful day!

It was very neat... but very expensive. I think I like Bubba Gump's better. ::yes::

Thanks! It was a beautiful day - I did get everything done, but it was a bit crazy!

I just got back from Florida last Monday and then five days later was the time change. That was a bit crazy to adjust to.

Sue... I love that you seem to go to FL so often.... I could be wrong, because I dont' really keep track... But I hope you had a fabulous trip!!! I bet that time change was crazy! I slept so weirdly last night... I wound up sleeping until almost 5am this morning.... Oh well - I will still try to not change my sleeping time by too much.

I am loving these warm temps at home right now... The longer I can keep these flip flops on my feet - the happier I am. ::yes:: I think I have a nice mix of capris, shorts & tees, but I think I might throw in a tank top or two, just to be safe. ::yes:: I am hoping for good weather too.

How great that you had a great time at MOA and Hard Rock Cafe
Sounds like today is going to be a hectic day for you. I hope it's not too bad.

I was surprised about the cat allergy. Yes the allergy is manageable so the cat is going no where

It was fun - and yesterday was crazy, but it worked out in the end. :thumbsup2

That is great news!

That is not good about your car though - hopefully it makes it until you get your new one. And hopefully your new one is ready sooner rather than later... Pixie dust for that. :thumbsup2

That would be perfect! I just took a look at accuweather-they have a 15 day forecast and they show cooler temps.

Good to know...

I didn't get a text so I sent you one this morning.

A couple of things I didn't hear you discuss (I might have missed it) on your TR that you should be aware of.

I am not sure I will get photopass with my AP, I purchased that AP before the prices went up - so I think I get the "old AP"???? It sure would be nice if I did - and I am still thinking about upgrading, because it would be cheaper to upgrade my AP than it would to buy MM each time... :scratchin

I did reply to your text yesterday... Not sure you saw my reply - but I had your area code in my cell wrong, so when you texted me, it didn't come up right. I have it all changed now, and it's all good. ::yes::

That is such a powerful statement! I'm glad that you've thrown out your scale. 191 lbs. before and 191 lbs. now look COMPLETELY different and I'm sure they feel completely different too. Keep up the good (and hard) work. You know that your food choices and exercise are doing your body good, even if the dang scale doesn't see fit to go lower.

Thanks!!! I haven't quite thrown it out yet - but I don't use it often, for sure. The last time I weighed myself - before last week - was in May... So, I do hop on it every now n' then - but not too often. :scratchin The hard part is that I was actually 25 lbs lighter - so I've GAINED 25 lbs over the last year, even though I've managed to almost stay the same size. But the picture I posted was from 2 years ago - not sure if that makes sense? I still hope to get smaller/change my body composition, but I am sort-of happy where I am at right now. :D Thank you so much for your encouragement. :thumbsup2

****************************************************************************************************

First off - let's start with a little dancing - shall we????

:woohoo: 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

One week from today - I will be packing up the truck, saying good-bye to the girls, Josh and my boys, and headed to the airport!!! I cannot believe I am actually doing this! It will be a little sad, because I have never - ever been to Disney with out my girls, and I love sharing it with them... but I am super excited to see Suzi, Mo and all of the kidlets... And the only thing that really consoles me, is that I have a trip planned with each of the girls over the next year... So - I will go and I will have a blast and create new Disney memories with great friends! ::yes::

My upcoming week is a bit nuts... I am always busy right up until the last moment before I leave - and this trip is no exception. But I am making a dent in it...

Starting yesterday afternoon... I went and had my hair colored/cut/highlighted... As usual - my stylist did a great job - I just love her and she always makes me look good. Treating myself to good hair is just something that makes me feel great - and when I can plan it out to have it done right before a trip - well, it's even better. My cut yesterday was only a "trim" - so my hair doesn't look any different than it did... And the color is the same as last time... It's just a little more vibrant now, because it's fresh. Oh and my burgundy highlights took really well this time - so they are maybe a bit darker than normal? I'll try to get a pic later. ::yes::

Today... It will be a full work day for me (and tomorrow, and the next day...) I will lift heavy this morning and run sometime before dark today. I still have 2 bags I want to finish before I leave - and I haven't started either of them yet, which means my work days will be long 10+ hours each day until I am finished.

I am still hoping to have my weekend off this weekend... as long as I get everything done that I need to.

I plan to be completely packed on Monday, and have my luggage down stairs - because again, my Tuesday is a MESS! I am hoping to get a nail appointment... I think I will cave this time and do a mani/pedi... But I don't think I will do my "Disney nails"? I haven't decided yet... They are expensive - I am not sure I want to spend that much? :scratchin We'll see though - they are such a treat for me to do, and I love them so much!

Oh and I still have to BUY my GCs for food... I have NOT done that yet. I will do it the next time I find myself at Target.

Tuesday afternoon, V has an appointment - so I likely won't get home until dinner time or later. And I will want to be in bed shortly after - because I will need to be up by 3am, so I can do my coffee/FB/Disboards routine before I get ready...

So, this last week will be a bit nuts... Along with some other things going on - which I cannot talk about just yet... But Pixie Dust for that would be great, and I will tell you all about it as soon as I can - but not likely until after Thanksgiving. ::yes::

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Prayers and Pixie Dust to you all! :grouphug:

Oh and as a side note... I may be posting a few "live" updates as this week progresses... And while I am in WDW. So keep your eyes open - I could update this PTR at any time. ::yes::

There's nothing better than the last week before Disney and the excitement that builds... I hope to share a lot of that with you all! :woohoo:

D~
