Thanks everyone for prayers & pixie dust for Mm... He is only 3 y/o, so just a puppy. :lovestruc He is home and resting after being poked and prodded.

I am copy/pasting the text I sent Josh & the girls, because it's easiest.

Max is fine. Dr. mike did an exam, thought he looked a little anemic, did full bloodwork, everything great. No lymes disease. Did urine test, came back with a bladder infection. Max is on antibiotics for the next week. Dr. Wants us to update him on monday to how max is doing and test his urine again in 2 weeks. Bladder infection should not be making him tired/not hungry though... It could, but not likely. He's hoping antibiotics will help with that too, if he has something that didn't show on tests.

Must get to work, it took much longer at the vet than i thought it would.

D~

I'm glad to hear that it went well at the vet. Hopefully it's only a bladder infection. Crossing my fingers that the antibiotics works quickly and that he feels better soon

Glad to hear it was just a bladder infection and hope that was all it was. My Eddie gets those all the time. I swear my poor boy is constantly on antibiotics.

I was so far behind! Goodness! Now I am all caught up. :) So excited for your trip. I kinda think the week leading up to a trip can be almost (almost but not quite) as fun.
Sorry about the scale discouragement. I think its more about fitness and health and less about weight so don't be hard on yourself. :)
Praying for MM . It always make me feel bad when the pets are sick because they can't really tell you what hurts.
If I am not on here again before your trip, I hope you have a great time. I'm sure you will. It's Disney World for petes' sake!:yay:

Glad to hear that it might only be a bladder infection. Hopefully, MM perks back up.

Your trip is so close! So many firsts for this trip.

Hope you get dinner out of the shopping trip tonight. Have fun.

Glad to hear that the vet doesnt think MM has anythign too serious. Hopefully he will be back to being himself in no time!

Poor MM! Hope the antibiotics kick in quick for him & he's back to his old self soon.

On Sunday my friend Mary K, who I went to Europe with this spring, came to Lizzy's hockey game. At the game she got a text that a dog she was adopting was going to be ready for pickup earlier than expected so Lizzy & I went with her so she didn't have to go alone. Boone is an almost 2 year old Australian Sheppard. He was rejected by his first family when he got too tall to be show quality. He such a sweet, handsome boy. He's going to make Mary K very happy and I'm sure he'll be quite happy with her too.

I didn't realize that you have never been this time of year before. I'm sure you've seen photos of the castle but it is even more magical in real life.

Poor MM. It's not fun when our pets get sick. Crossing my fingers that it's nothing serious and that the vet isn't expensive.
What a shame that Josh canceled your shopping trip yesterday. I hope you get it done today.

I was at the dentist today just for the yearly check up. I hate going to the dentist. Everything was ok as always. That a huge relief.
We have got one month of rain in just one week the past week. So it really has rained a lot. No snow here now.

THanks Lillian... He is OK - just a bladder infection at the moment. The vet bill was a little expensive - but at least we have peace of mind that it's nothing serious.

Yes, I wasn't happy with him, but we did go out last night. :thumbsup2

Awe, poor MM, prayers for him! I hope its nothing serious.

The weather in Orlando has been crazy. I know its Florida, but still 95+ degree temps in November is unusual!

I'm getting so excited for you!!! less than a week! My trip isn't for 11 months so I'll be able to live vicariously through your next two trips until my time comes lol

Thank you - he is fine. It was just a bladder infection.

Yes!!! I am a little more nervous about this... I really need to locate my white shorts.... I think I may need to dig my bin out of the closet today? :scratchin

I am so excited - I am almost beyond myself! You are totally welcome to do that!

Oh no! I hope everything is OK, let us know.

Thank you Ariana!

Poor MM -- I hope he's feeling much better very soon!

Thank you!

hope MM is okay. How old is he?

Thank you - he is only 3... So, technically - he is still a puppy yet.

i hope Moose is OK!!!

THanks Mo!

Poor MM. Hope all goes well at the vet!
V looked adorable in her Halloween outfit. No one came to our house for Halloween. Needless to say, I am eating all the candy . I know you must be getting excited about your trip. I can't wait to find out where you are staying and a TR!!!It is so nice to get away with good friends and just relax and have a good time.
Can't wait to see your finished bags!! I always love seeing your new creations.
So sad and frustrating that Josh lost the mower bags and that you couldn't find them.
In other news, for those who have seen/heard the Rockefeller Christmas tree has been cut down. I am happy to say it is from the area we live in. The local High School Choir/Band was asked to attend, and perform. It was an exciting day in the community. Some people have already criticized about the tree "looking sad". I guess you just can't please everyone:confused3.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Hi Lynee! Thanks!

Oh no... Halloween candy is evil - thankfully, the girls ran off with theirs - so I haven't had any of it, except on Halloween night.

Me too! I think all of us are planning to do our own separate TRs for this trip?

Thanks - I think I have posted all of them here already? I just didn't link to them. I am very excited about my outfits and bags this trip! I think I am most excited about my SBW outfit. Here's a collage of all of them together...

2015-10-15_05.16.47.jpg

That is really exciting about the Christmas tree... Bah humbug to all of the people who think it looks sad... I am sure it's beautiful!

Thank you - you too - thanks for stopping by!

Poor MM. Isn't he still quite young? Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Our pets are like our children. I'll keep him in my thought. Let us know how he is.
Unless we do the dining plan, we always buy gcs for food. It's just so much easier. It's hard to believe that your trip is coming up so fast.
It's been years since I've been to Disney at Christmas. It was before I started at Walmart. Everything was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. My favorate was the holiday lights at EPCOT which are no longer there.
It's been quiet around here lately. I forgot to tell you that my daughter and her husband did the zombie run right before halloween. It was at one of our metro parks. They survived and got two tshirts. they didn't keep a record of the times for that one it was all in fun. Since the she broke her toe one the edge of the bed and hasn't been running.
Have a good day.
Liz

Hi Liz!

Yes, MM is only 3 years old... It was just a bladder infection - he is on antibiotics now, and seems to be a little more chipper. Although a bladder infection should not have caused him to not be chipper - so we will see.

I am so excited to see WDW decorated for Christmas... Christmas is my favorite holiday - I never thought much about Halloween until I experienced Halloween in WDW - and now it's one of my favorite holidays as well. So, I am sure, experiencing Christmas in WDW will just put Christmas over the top for me. :scratchin

Yay for dd and her dh for doing the zombie run - how fun!!! Yikes on the broken toe though - I hope it's healing OK.

Thanks for stopping by Liz, it was good seeing you!

I am sending many prayers and loads of pixie dust towards your way. really hope MM is ok. It's always so hard when pets aren't themselves.

And about the weather is FL right now - it's crazy! My grandparents live in Orlando, and they were telling me how hot it is right now! I can't believe it. NY is also very warm But yes - sunscreen seems like a big must right now!

Enjoy the rest of your day and this whacky weather!

Thanks Alison! (It's so hard not typing 2 Ls - LOL)

MM seems to be doing better - he is on antibiotics for his bladder infection, hopefully he is back to himself soon.

I am so nervous about this. I never really had anything packed that was too warm - except for 2 fleece jackets, but I am keeping those packed - you just never know? :scratchin I've added a couple pairs of shorts though - and I think I am going to dig my huge bin out of the back of my closet to see if I can figure out where my white shorts went to... Hopefully they are in there somewhere.

Thanks! You enjoy your day too!

I'm glad to hear that it went well at the vet. Hopefully it's only a bladder infection. Crossing my fingers that the antibiotics works quickly and that he feels better soon

Thanks - he seems to be a bit perkier now - so we will see how it goes today and tomorrow.

Glad to hear it was just a bladder infection and hope that was all it was. My Eddie gets those all the time. I swear my poor boy is constantly on antibiotics.

Awww... Poor Eddie. Yes - I am glad.relieved (I think the whole family is) that's all it was too.

I was so far behind! Goodness! Now I am all caught up. :So excited for your trip. I kinda think the week leading up to a trip can be almost (almost but not quite) as fun.

Hi there!!! Thanks for taking the time to catch up! :thumbsup2

I know - this last week is always so crazy for me, and this time it's no exception... I thought I was doing well, until yesterday... I will update below.

I know - it's just hard sometimes. I do my best not to focus on weight, but it still gets me sometimes.

Thank you - the antibiotic seem to be helping a bit... We'll see how he does over the next day or two.

Thanks so much!!! We will have a great time! I cannot wait to get there and see where we are staying! I feel like a kids again and it's so much fun!

Glad to hear that it might only be a bladder infection. Hopefully, MM perks back up.

Your trip is so close! So many firsts for this trip.

Hope you get dinner out of the shopping trip tonight. Have fun.

Thanks Shannon.... I hope so too.

I know - I am so excited! I cannot wait to see where we are staying and to see WDW all decorated for Christmas - it will be amazing!

I did!!! :woohoo:

Glad to hear that MM is on the mend. Have a great day!!

Thanks so much! :lovestruc The same to you!

So glad that your puppy is ok..

Thank you so much - we are very relieved!

Glad to hear that the vet doesnt think MM has anythign too serious. Hopefully he will be back to being himself in no time!

Thanks - me too... We were all starting to get really nervous. I hope the antibiotics help him and he is back to normal soon too. :thumbsup2

Poor MM! Hope the antibiotics kick in quick for him & he's back to his old self soon.

Thanks Bernadette! I sure hope so too!

How exciting for your friend! And how sad that his first family was that way... I hope he adjusts well and enjoys his new family. :lovestruc And how fun that you and Lizzy were able to share that experience with her.

No, I've never been - I am so excited!!! :woohoo: I cannot wait to see it.

I have a new desk top wallpaper... and it's a slideshow... I've chosen a few various photos from each of our trips to scroll through. The one of all of us in MK on our August 2013 trip just went past.... It was great "seeing" you this morning. :)

***************************************************************************************

OK - so I updated about MM yesterday.... For some reason the picture didn't show up above - I double checked to make sure the code was written correctly, and it is... So, I am going to try again.

20151105_101951.jpg

The vet was quite expensive yesterday... Thankfully, I always go into things like that with an astronomical number in my head - so at least I can not have that "shocked look" when they tell me the price. In my head, I was telling myself - "please be under $1000" and it was. So, I was relieved. In all fairness though - the bill included 3 booster shots for MM... 2 bags of dog food (which are $100 alone) and all of his exam/bloodwork/urine tests.... So, it included a lot of stuff. On a side note... The vet mentioned to us, since we are such good customers for years, if we are ever in a spot where one of our animals needs care, they are willing to take payments from us. That was nice to hear - even though I hope we never need it, because I do try to set aside a bit of $$ earmarked for vet bills... It's nice to know that they know us well enough, and trust us to take payments. So, that warmed my heart a little bit.

Thankfully - there was nothing serious wrong with MM, and hopefully after his antibiotics, he will perk back up. He even seemed a bit better last night, so we will see.

The vet took a bit longer than I thought it would... So, I went straight upstairs to work. I didn't get as much done as I'd wanted to, but I did what I could.

I had a bit of a "Doh" moment yesterday... Brian's inlaws are in MN from The Netherlands, they leave on Thursday next week.... I didn't realize they were here... Guess who has a baby quilt to make for Lara yet? Guess who has to have it DONE by Monday, so they have time to pack it? Guess who didn't even have all of the fabric to make it? Yup... It's not like I didn't have 9 months to prepare... Not only that, but I haven't started on her Christmas stocking either. At first I thought I had until Monday to do both (plus a custom order and a side project to finish) - I was banging my head against the wall for sure. Thankfully, Brian's FIL will be here again right before Christmas, so I have a few extra weeks to get Lara's stocking done. But WHOA!!!! I suddenly have a LOT of work to get done, and NO time to do it. I still have all of my grocery shopping to do for the family while I am gone (planning to do that this afternoon sometime)... We all have to Christmas shop for BMTL - thinking we may do that tomorrow.... Plus I have my custom order to finish and a baby quilt to start/finish... Not to mention - I really need to TRY to finish that side project... And a long run... And my nails... And a Dr appointment... GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't know how I am going to do it all? :scratchin I was telling V about it yesterday - and she just stood there and laughed at me.... I am thinking my pay back for that, will be to make her prep the binding for the baby quilt. ::yes::

Soooo... back on track here... I have a TON to get done and not much time to do it. It really is my own fault.

Oh and I took a picture of my new hair yesterday... I know - it's a weird selfie while I was waiting for the girls to get out of school, and it had just finished raining - so the sun wasn't out... but you can sort-of see all of the colors... (and my ear is red, because my stylist mentioned I should really try to curl my hair - I'd like it... Yah - I burned the crap out of my ear... Idiot. So,I gave up & I straightened my hair. LOL)

20151105_142311.jpg

Josh and I did go out shopping last night... And thankfully - we were able to stop at JoAnn's to get the rest of the fabric for Lara's quilt. And he was able to find 4 pairs of work pants... So he is a happy man. Next order of business is shoes for him for work...

He even took me out to dinner at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Life is good.

We didn't get home until "late" (relatively speaking)... but it was fun.

Today... It's a heavy lifting day for me, and I need to do it fast.

I will eat breakfast and hopefully be upstairs early. My game plan for today is to finish stitching the applique and also assemble part of my current bag. Once I am done with that - I plan to start on Lara's quilt.... If I can get a little start on that today - it will be helpful. I also hope to get the binding cut out for it and stitched together, so V can start ironing it tomorrow.

Then I wiill throw my hair in a pony tail and go for a run... I sure hope it's not the gusting wind still today - as I haven't run all week again. Sigh.

After - I will run to town, grab the girls and try to get some groceries in the house for them for while I am gone.

I'll probably end up upstairs again after dinner tonight, so I can work for a bit more.

Oh, and I weighed my luggage yesterday... 49 lbs... Trying to rearrange a little so it isn't so heavy.

Life it nuts - but it's my own fault.

I hope you all have a marvelous day... Thanks for all of the prayers and pixie dust for MM yesterday - I really appreciate it. :grouphug:

You will have a washer/dryer in the villa. Don't stress about the clothes. You will be able to wash anything that you have to wear more than you had planned to wear. I always bring a few detergent pods just in case. I have washed all my clothes before packing to go home. It is nice to have them smell like Florida. Of course I only do that when staying in a villa. :) I figure that I am with strangers and no one is going to know if I wear the same shirt or jacket more than once. One time the weather turned cold and I ended up wearing the same sweater every day since it was the only one I brought on the trip.

Guess who has a baby quilt to make for Lara yet? Guess who has to have it DONE by Monday, so they have time to pack it?
You have my permission to mail the baby quilt in December. ;)

Hope MM is continuing to improve. Ok, can I say I am glad I am not you this week(end)...but wish I were you next week! LOL!

Hang in there!

Yeah, I always find that its good to have some "just in case" clothes when I go to Disney. Back in March/April when I was there with my friends. Our second night there we were in MK - it was FREEZING! We had all gone back to the room to out on jeans and sweatshirts! It was crazy but I was happy I told everyone to bring something with them just in case. You just never know with the weather.

I am so happy MM is ok! That made me smile to hear that. And that's good the vet bill didn't shock you too much...I know how that can be sometimes lol. Hoping he continues to get better every day:goodvibes

Oh gosh. That puts a lot more work on your plate this week.
I love the hair! It looks great! :)
Oh, and I weighed my luggage yesterday... 49 lbs... Trying to rearrange a little so it isn't so heavy.
Oh wow! yeah I try not to have that weight when I am going to Disney...but I can't say the same for when I come home. Are you brining a carry on suitcase that you can move some of the stuff into?
Life it nuts - but it's my own fault.
It will be ok. Just take a deep breath and take one thing at a time. And just think - after you get done with all of your errands/projects, you will finally be in Disney! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I'm glad to hear the vet went ok. Don't you have vet insurance to cover this kind of things?

WOW you are going to have a busy weekend. With all that need to be done in your sewing room. Crossing my fingers that you get a lot done.

Your hear looks nice :)

How great that Josh found the pants he needed and that you got the fabric you need for the quilt.

I got some great news today about my new car :woohoo:I'm so happy about it all today.
Earlier this week I heard that the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) office further south in Norway said I could upgrade from a Volkswagen Caravelle 150 horse power car to Volkswagen Caravelle 150 horse power with 4WD if I paid the cost. NAV could not choose this car themselves. The NAV office further south was surprised that the office in Tromsø didn't know this and they said they would call NAV in Tromsø and tell them the rules. As I told you earlier this week I tried to contact the person that has my case, but she was out of office until today. So today I tried to call again. Of course she wasn't in when I tried to call. So I asked if the person I talked to could give her a message to call me back. To my surprise she called back just a few minutes later. I told her what I had heard about the 4WD car I want. She then told me that she had heard the same thing this morning. So that means that NAV in the south must have managed to called Tromsø already. She then said that if I want to pay for the 4WD drive myself I can get the 4WD on the car they first said no to. I told her yes I want that car so please move forward with the process. So now I just have to wait on a letter from NAV confirming the things we have decided. I can now go to the car shop and find out what color I want on my car, add any extra accessories I would like to add and of course pay for. I'm so happy that I didn't take their no for a no at first and instead investigated the whole thing myself. I'm not expecting the car to stand in my driveway until summer 2016. Because now they first have to order the car, then get it from Germany to Tromsø, then mount the elevator I need to get my wheelchairs in the car. When all that is done the car will be delivered to me.

I still haven't heard anything about the wheel for my wheelchair that I'm waiting for. It's another department and a different person at NAV who has that case. I will have to call her next week I think to get her to speed up the process.

Sounds like you'll be working hard this weekend. I hope you get everything you need done. I'm glad to hear the vet went well regardless of the cost. Hopefully he feels better each day.

Live update...

Super excited! :woohoo: It's official, I will be eating in Disney. ::yes:: I am now in posession of the GCs I needed to pay for food. This excites me greatly.

Also... I purchased new pens and a new journal to document the trip, so I can write a new TR when I get home. :D

Getting caught up and I confess I haven't gone back far enough to read everything. Glad to hear about MM. My first thought was Lyme, but I'm glad the vet ruled that out. Your weekend sounds like my last few weeks. I have been working my backside off - work-work, not fun stuff. I even had to attend a meeting on my day off (Tuesday - election day). Luckily, I have Wednesday off too, (Veteran's Day) with nothing planned. C and I are taking two classes through adult ed - ballroom dancing and digital photography. Both are fun, but with C's work schedule, he's missed several classes already.

I'm really getting excited about our trip in a few weeks too!

So glad to hear that MM had a bladder infection and nothing worse was found.

My family is headed out to Disney World first thing in the morning. We are super excited. Hopefully i will run into you once youre there and just be able to say hi but its more likely id just eyeball you and youll think im a weirdo. However we are at POP Century and i know Suzi didnt pick that one LOL. So itll depend on the parks.

I hope you have an awesome trip regardless. I know you will miss your family but at least you will be with your DIS family!
