~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

I can't wait until you get to Disney and officially begin your trip. It's too bad that you won't have anyone to fly with. You'll have to hold all that excitement in until you see Suzi and Bradey. :)

Tuesday afternoon, V has an appointment - so I likely won't get home until dinner time or later. And I will want to be in bed shortly after - because I will need to be up by 3am, so I can do my coffee/FB/Disboards routine before I get ready...

I had a similar situation where I had to be at a work function until approximately 7:30pm and then wake up at 3am to go to Disney the next day. I had packed all my clothes ahead of time but I had left the toiletries and medicines until the last minute. Well, my brain was fried by the time I got home on Tuesday and I had a hard time remembering all those little last minute things. I hope you do better than I did. ;)

We have gone to Disney several times in the last two years, more times than we ever did in former years. I blame the annual pass and the cheap airfare on Southwest for tempting us. ;) The airfare for our August trip was $49 each way and the upcoming January trip was $104 one way and $70 on the return flight. When you don't have to worry about school schedules you can get bargains. And the fact that we are empty nesters and want to have fun before we are too old or sick or dead is a big motivator. But right now we just have two trips planned for the next year.

I'm back and caught up! :woohoo: I think the Halloween costumes on the girls and their BFs were adorable. Sorry you had a run-in with a creeper out on the trail. I can't believe you still don't know what resort you'll be at. Selfishly I hope it's SSR since we could easily meet up if that were the case. Yay for the 7 day dance!!! :dance3: And wow, I never knew 191lbs could look so different! You look so cute in that skirt. :)

I wish I had more time today but I have oh, about a million things to do before bed. I'm getting picked up at 4am tomorrow morning to head off to the airport. :jumping1:

Wish me luck!

Woohoo, 7 days! You guys picked a fabulous time to go to WDW, I love everything they have going on this time of year. :)

Yay, almost time for Disney! If you see someone trying to subtly glance at you to work up the courage to say hi, it's probably me! :)

Also, can't wait to hear what resort Suzi surprises you with!

:woohoo: 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:
Wow! Only a week to go - that is always such a great feeling! :goodvibes

It's just a little more vibrant now, because it's fresh. Oh and my burgundy highlights took really well this time - so they are maybe a bit darker than normal? I'll try to get a pic later. ::yes::
Glad you are happy with your hair! Bet it looks great!
I plan to be completely packed on Monday, and have my luggage down stairs - because again, my Tuesday is a MESS! I am hoping to get a nail appointment... I think I will cave this time and do a mani/pedi... But I don't think I will do my "Disney nails"? I haven't decided yet... They are expensive - I am not sure I want to spend that much? :scratchin We'll see though - they are such a treat for me to do, and I love them so much!
LOL, usually I am always doing last minute packing the night before any trip - especially Disney. I give you a lot of credit for trying to get it all done 2 nights before.
So, this last week will be a bit nuts... Along with some other things going on - which I cannot talk about just yet... But Pixie Dust for that would be great, and I will tell you all about it as soon as I can - but not likely until after Thanksgiving. ::yes::
Sending you lots of pixie dust for this week with all of your running around and errands and beyond. Good luck with the rest of the week!:lovestruc
Oh and as a side note... I may be posting a few "live" updates as this week progresses... And while I am in WDW. So keep your eyes open - I could update this PTR at any time. ::yes::
Oh good! Live updates are always fun! I will be sure to check! :goodvibes ::yes::

Yay! It's so close!!! The week before is the best because of all the anticipation!!

Splurge on the Disney nails!!

I am not sure I will get photopass with my AP, I purchased that AP before the prices went up - so I think I get the "old AP"???? It sure would be nice if I did - and I am still thinking about upgrading, because it would be cheaper to upgrade my AP than it would to buy MM each time... :scratchin

I did reply to your text yesterday... Not sure you saw my reply - but I had your area code in my cell wrong, so when you texted me, it didn't come up right. I have it all changed now, and it's all good.

D~
Everything I've read, including several posts from CMs that work in ticketing, there is no such thing as the "old AP" so you will be given the new one for no additional price. I bought a ticket from undercover tourist that I plan to upgrade when I get there. Thankfully with my DVC membership I can buy a Gold pass since I would never go at Easter or Christmas so my price increase is only about $20 instead of $100.

One of my coworkers reminded me today that next Wed is a holiday. I completely forgot. Hopefully we will have the budget wrapped up (my boss goes to board meeting Thursday) and I'll really have the day off. I hope to pack this weekend. I'm torn between trying to do carryon and just packing a bag. The transportation that works best for me to get to the airport will get me there at 6:40am then I need to take a shuttle to my gate. The flight I'm booked on doesn't leave til 10:30. I'm thinking I might call the night before to see if I can get on the 8:05 flight but I'm worried that might be a bit tight. But if I upgrade my seat I would get expedited security & early boarding (room for carry on). I don't know it still seems a bit tight time wise. I guess I will see how packing goes this weekend-I would only try the early flight without a checked bag. Then I'll see if I can get on that flight.

I got your text today. I understand. We will work something out.

Sounds like you are going to have a crazy week.
I tried to call the lady about my new car. But sadly she is out of office until Friday. I guess I just have to be patient and wait for Friday to arrive.

It is utter craziness - but I can't help but be excited!!! :woohoo:

Bummer... I know it's hard to be patient - but hopefully you will get answers soon.

I know... I don't particularly enjoy flying alone... but I will be OK. I have a direct flight on the way down - so I will be packed in with other families excited to start their Disney vacations. And Suzi and I land with in 5 minutes of each other - so she will be right there waiting for me. We couldn't have planned it any better than we did. It's the flight home, I am more worried about... I have a layover in ATL - and I've only been in that airport once... I will be sad anyways, from leaving Suzi and Mo and kids - so it will be a sucky fight home. But I"ll focus on what an awesome trip it was, and all will be good.

 I have a list going - I am hoping to not forget anything. I will set everything aside that afternoon, so I can just get ready the next morning and grab what I need. I am not a light packer... I still need to weigh my suitcase and pray I am not overwieght. I pick it up when I am moving it from the ottoman in my bedroom to my bed (easier to pack at that height), and it feels "light" to me - but that term is relative because I lift heavy - many things feel "light" to me now... So, I really need to weigh it. ::yes::

That is some awesome airfare!!! The only thing I am looking forward to with the girls going to college, is maybe a few more trips in my furture... I am hoping that I will be able to afford to get an AP occasionally - even if it's every other year or something, so I can do a few trips here n' there. ::yes:: Yay for 2 more trips on the horizon. :woohoo:

Yay! Thanks!

I am super excited to find out which resort we are at... I think I have it narrowed down and know which resorts it isn't... but there are still several it *could* be... So we will see if I am right? :scratchin

Thanks! Josh and I are going out tonight to do a little shopping for him - and I plan to wear that skirt again, I just love it so much!!! I wish they had it in other colors besides navy - I am not a big navy type person.

:woohoo: Sooooo exciting!!! Today is your day!!! I hope your morning went well and you are safely through security at the airport by now. Have a great trip and I hope we are able to meet up, even for a quick 5 min. ::yes::

Wahoo!!!!

I can't believe your trip is almost here.

Eeeep!!! I know - I am so excited!

Woohoo, 7 days! You guys picked a fabulous time to go to WDW, I love everything they have going on this time of year.

Thanks! I am super excited! I have NEVER seen the castle lit up for Christmas - and I just saw yesterday that they decorated MK the night before... I knew I would be excited to see it - but I didn't think I would be THIS excited!!! I just cannot wait! :woohoo:

Yay, almost time for Disney! If you see someone trying to subtly glance at you to work up the courage to say hi, it's probably me! :)

Also, can't wait to hear what resort Suzi surprises you with!

Yay!!! Welcome! Oooh - I hope you do introduce yourself!!! I love meeting fellow Disers! I promise that I am a normal person. LOL Well, sort-of normal... I think that most here, that have met me, might vouch? :scratchin

I know - I am so excited to find out! I think I know which resorts it isn't... But that still leaves several to choose from - I am anxious to see if I am right? :scratchin

Wow! Only a week to go - that is always such a great feeling!

I know!!! This is my FAVORITE time! All of the anticipation just builds - and this is IT!!! :woohoo:

Hehehe... I will have some last minute packing - but for the most part, I've been packed for weeks now. LOL Truth be told, I never really unpack. ::yes::

Thank you!!! So far, so good - sort of.

Yay!!! Probably not much live updating until the weekend...

Yay! It's so close!!! The week before is the best because of all the anticipation!!

Splurge on the Disney nails!!

I know!!! This is my favorite time! I just love this!

I am thinking I will. :scratchin

So excited for your guys!!!!!!!

When I saw this, this was the first thing that I thought of...

Hi Mike!!! How have you been?

LOL That's awesome! I am so excited! I will be doing some live updates here and on FB... So keep your eyes open.

This is good to know. I'll be happy if I do get MM, because it's just another expense I don't have to pay for. Fingers crossed! Oooh - that's good to know too... I would also never go at those times - I just assumed the price difference was $100 for the minimum one, but I didn't even think to do the figures for myself. $20, I could live with... :scratchin

Wed is a holiday??? For work? I sure hope you are able to get all loose ends tied up, so you don't have that hanging over your head for your trip. How long is this trip? I don't think I know? I sure hope you are able to get on the flight you want to be on - which gives you the most time in Disney. :thumbsup2

Oh good - I was a little anxious because you didn't reply. Thanks so much for understanding - I love ya Bernadette, and I am looking forward to seeing you again! :lovestruc

**********************************************************************************************

OK - first things first... I am requesting prayers and pixie dust for MM... He just hasn't been himself - very tired/depressed and not eating much since he returned from hunting in ND with Josh and SC... I am taking him into the vet this morning. Firstly, praying that it's nothing serious and he's just a tuckered out puppy, and secondly - praying that it isn't too expensive. I am having flash backs of when we had to put Rufus down just a few short days before our 2012 trip, and how it just killed us... So, prayers for MM please.

Yesterday was a good day.... I did my heavy lifting in the morning - and I really rocked it. It was a glorious morning, so beautiful out... I was really looking forward to my afternoon run.

I had breakfast and went straight to work. About 10am, the clouds rolled in, the wind picked up and it started to rain. Sigh. By lunch time - I'd given up on my run. :(

Josh needs a few new pairs of pants for work... So, I texted him yesterday afternoon and told him that we could go after work last night. So, at about 2pm, I quit for the day, showered and got ready to go out. At 4:10, Josh called, said he would be late and cancelled our plans. Grrrr... I had just spent an hour and a half getting ready. So, I shut off my straightener, put on my sweats and called it a day.

When he got home - I gave him a hard time for it. He never cancels on me. We rescheduled for tonight.... with a no-cancellation policy. ::yes::

So, I sat around all night.

Allison and I gave Lottie a bath and a good spa treatment, then gave her bin a good cleaning. :lovestruc

Today... Ok - this is the plan...

I will be working out right away this morning...

I think I will also go for a run this morning - if I have time.

I am taking MM in to the vet this morning too.

Then I will come home and work all day - until 2, again.

I will get ready to head out and shop with Josh. I am hoping to get dinner out of the deal too. ::yes::

I still have to do a Target run to get my last GCs for food.... I also need to get sunscreen (have you seen the temps in FL now???), and an empty travel sized spray bottle for my thermal spray for my hair. Then, I will be DONE. I hope.

I hope you all have a marvelous day!!! Prayers and Pixie Dust to all! :lovestruc

D~

Poor MM. It's not fun when our pets get sick. Crossing my fingers that it's nothing serious and that the vet isn't expensive.
What a shame that Josh canceled your shopping trip yesterday. I hope you get it done today.

I was at the dentist today just for the yearly check up. I hate going to the dentist. Everything was ok as always. That a huge relief.
We have got one month of rain in just one week the past week. So it really has rained a lot. No snow here now.

Awe, poor MM, prayers for him! I hope its nothing serious.

The weather in Orlando has been crazy. I know its Florida, but still 95+ degree temps in November is unusual!

I'm getting so excited for you!!! less than a week! My trip isn't for 11 months so I'll be able to live vicariously through your next two trips until my time comes lol

Poor MM. Hope all goes well at the vet!
V looked adorable in her Halloween outfit. No one came to our house for Halloween. Needless to say, I am eating all the candy :rolleyes1. I know you must be getting excited about your trip. I can't wait to find out where you are staying and a TR!!!It is so nice to get away with good friends and just relax and have a good time.
Can't wait to see your finished bags!! I always love seeing your new creations.
So sad and frustrating that Josh lost the mower bags and that you couldn't find them.
In other news, for those who have seen/heard the Rockefeller Christmas tree has been cut down. I am happy to say it is from the area we live in. The local High School Choir/Band was asked to attend, and perform. It was an exciting day in the community. Some people have already criticized about the tree "looking sad". I guess you just can't please everyone:confused3.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Poor MM. Isn't he still quite young? Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Our pets are like our children. I'll keep him in my thought. Let us know how he is.
Unless we do the dining plan, we always buy gcs for food. It's just so much easier. It's hard to believe that your trip is coming up so fast.
It's been years since I've been to Disney at Christmas. It was before I started at Walmart. Everything was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. My favorate was the holiday lights at EPCOT which are no longer there.
It's been quiet around here lately. I forgot to tell you that my daughter and her husband did the zombie run right before halloween. It was at one of our metro parks. They survived and got two tshirts. they didn't keep a record of the times for that one it was all in fun. Since the she broke her toe one the edge of the bed and hasn't been running.
Have a good day.
Liz

OK - first things first... I am requesting prayers and pixie dust for MM.
I am sending many prayers and loads of pixie dust towards your way. :lovestrucI really hope MM is ok. It's always so hard when pets aren't themselves.:sad1:

And about the weather is FL right now - it's crazy! My grandparents live in Orlando, and they were telling me how hot it is right now! I can't believe it. NY is also very warm :scratchin But yes - sunscreen seems like a big must right now!

Enjoy the rest of your day and this whacky weather! :goodvibes
