They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

Thanks for your picture help! I just got some put up!!

I'll have to get caught up on your PTR tomorrow night, but I do have to tell you I'm jealous that you're going to DLR! I hope to make it there, eventually!

  WELCOME!

Heading over to check your new pictures!

Followed you over here from my own PTR. I'm all caught up now! :goodvibes I'm so jealous of you staying at the Yacht Club! It's so gorgeous over there with the boardwalk and everything. You and your mom are going to have so much fun! :wizard:

I hope your California trip works out. It would be a total bumski (Enchanted Princess speak for "bummer") if your plans fell through.

Randomness: Jon and Kate +8 is one of my FAVORITE shows. I adore those kids, they are too funny. :rotfl2: And I totally respect Kate for everything's she's been through. Also, I love hearing your stories about the kids you teach. They sound adorable!

Your "what if" game is fun! I'm going to look into the actual book, and maybe Mom, Aunt C, and I will play it during our 17 hour drive! ;)

I would also choose either the Wyland gallery or the art store at DTD. The artwork, especially the paintings, at those places always take my breath way.

As for your second "what if" about being "friends" with the characters, I would also choose Belle as one of my picks. Like you, she's my favorite princess. But Alice would be a close second. She is hysterical, especially when she's with the Mad Hatter. I would totally love celebrating unbirthdays with people and just generally acting like I'm off in my own little "Wonderland" like the other friends of Alice do. ;) Also, I LOVE her outfit. :cutie: Jasmine would also be fun just because I've always had a crush on Aladdin so it would be nice to hang out with HIS friends if you know what I mean.... :rolleyes1

Finally, I would go for the bangs. I've had them several times, and I got tons of compliments on them. Personally, I think they're the easiest way to change up your look. Also, they're supposedly really in right now because Jessica Alba just got them. :rotfl: Remember, you don't have to go totally dramatic and get blunt bangs if you're not comfortable with them. If you've never ever had them, it may be better to ask for "swoop" bangs, which just sort of swoop across your forehead from your part. These are usually long enough to pull back if they're annoying you. :thumbsup2 I might have some pictures to demonstrate, I'll have to look through my files tomorrow and report back.

Looking forward to reading more! :cheer2:

Emily

Hi Emily! Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah, I'm super excited for the Yacht Club! On our next vacation we will most likely be going to a Value resort so I'm going to soak it up while I can! I've never met Alice in the parks (I know:eek: ) but Jasmin is another princess I think would be fun to play. Unfortunately I am paler than Snow White! The IF book is super fun... and I'd love to see hair pictures if you have any! I think I'm going to go for it tomorrow!

Hey there!! I've been gone for a while, so I didn't get to answer yesterday's question.......hehe. Anyway, I haven't had bangs since I was little. Everytime I go to get my hair cut I think that it might be nice to have them, but then I remember that my hair has a tendency to stick to the back of my neck in hot weather, and I really don't want to walk around with my bangs plastered to my forehead all day. But that's me, and as I am moving to Texas where it is hot all the time, I think that I shall forgo the bangs. But I can't wait to see what you decide! :cutie:

Hmm... well I live in Canada so I won't have the hot weather problem for a while (darn, I would love to have a hot weather problem LOL ). Thanks for the advice though! I am so jealous you are moving to Texas, I would love to live somewhere that is warm all the time. I need to find an American to marry!;)

I would absolutely pick Mary Poppins!! :goodvibes

I had a feeling!:rolleyes1 :lmao:

OOPS!! Ha Ha Ha Ha!! :rotfl2: In that case, I think I would definitely like to "be friends" with Rhino from "Bolt". I've become somewhat of a germ-o-phobe since my first year student teaching when I got Scarlet Fever. I'm no Howie Mandel, but I do wash my hands a million times a day and don't leave the house without my hand sanitizer! Being Rhino in a hamster bubble would be perfect for me when meeting all of those kiddos!:thumbsup2

Aww I loved Bolt. And yikes, Scarlet fever?! Oh my gosh!! I don't blame you!

Fun PTR fact: My mom went to the same high school as Howie Mandel!

You know who I'd be friends with........Tink!! Get over to my board and play Attraction of the Day missy!

Another one that was somewhat easy to guess LOL! And done!

Okay, here is today's question for:

:cheer2: :cheer2: The Disney "If" Game!:cheer2: :cheer2:

If you could transplant any Disney restaurant into your city/town, which one would you choose?

Hmm... I'm thinking I would probably pick either Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare. Not so much for the food (there are plenty of places in Toronto with good food) but because of the characters! I would just LOVE it if there were a Disney character meal restaurant in every major city in Canada. (and the US for all you Americans reading along!) It would be such a great little mini vacation of Disney magic.:wizard:

So... I'm triple posting BECAUSE I CAN...;) ... with a PTR update!

As some of you may have noticed, I have a brand new look... I finally figured out how to change my display picture from a standard DIS one to my own personal one. The new avatar is from Balanchine's Serenade, one of my favourite ballets. I know I haven't mentioned it much, but I grew up a ballet dancer. I stopped once I started university and I miss it so much! I still taken open classes now and then, but I miss being in the studio 25 hours a week. I have a few pictures of me "dancing" in WDW, if I get brave enough I'll post them!

Also.... my DLR ticker is gone.:sad2: I'm figuring since we don't know when the trip actually IS anymore, there's no point in having a ticker. Hopefully if and when the California trip gets sorted out I can add it back but for now it's just the one ticker. I'm not going to change the title of my PTR though because I don't want to cause too much confusion! I'm really hoping I do get down there, but for right now I'm going to focus on our May trip. :wizard:

I'm trying to figure out which day to book the Keys to the Kingdom tour and I'm thinking May 6? I don't know how many days out tours can be booked, though. I've got to call soon for that and check!! The 6th would work out nicely though because it's our MK day.

We're also still trying to decide whether to book at town car for the trip to WDW from MCO and take ME back or just do ME both ways. Got to talk to DM about that.

That's it for now!

Oh gosh....I'd have to say.... the Luau food!

Your "what if" question cracks me up today because I LOVE Earl of Sandwich and just found out they put one in the new airport terminal here in Detroit so I checked their website and OMG there is an Earl of Sandwich about 10 minutes from me in Ann Arbor. WHAAAA? So I would have choosen EoS, but there is one here, I'm going to choose Chef Mickey's too! I would love to eat with Mickey whenever I wanted! DH picks Biergarten!

The values are fun, but I get what you mean about "soaking up" the ambience of the deluxes. There's just nothing like it. :goodvibes (I think you'll enjoy your one night at ASMu, especially since you've already been to POP. Just remember to request ANYWHERE but the country section. It is SO FAR AWAY from the main building. :headache: ) And you HAVE to meet Alice. She's so much fun, especially when she's hanging with the Mad Hatter.

I've been sick the past couple of days so I'm sorry for not posting any hair pictures until now. Here's the best one I have of the "swoop" bangs.

They're getting kind of long in that picture, but hopefully you get the idea.

Okay, here is today's question for:

:cheer2: :cheer2: The Disney "If" Game!:cheer2: :cheer2:

If you could transplant any Disney restaurant into your city/town, which one would you choose?

Oooh, good question.... Probably Liberty Tree Tavern. I've always loved colonial themed things so I love the actual restaurant itself with its "rooms" and staircases and stuff. And the food at lunch is AWESOME. Ooey Gooey Cake and the Colony Salad? YUM!!!

If not LTT, just give me Aloha Isle. Then I could have all the Dole Whips I want! :worship:

I was a dancer too! I wasn't nearly dedicated as you though. 25 hours a week! Now THAT'S dedication! I know how you feel though. I quit when I was sixteen because of school and because I didn't have the ballerina body, (I'm short and curvy, not tall and lean.) but I have such good memories of my studio. :cloud9: Every once in a while I'll dig out my old shoes and leotards and sniff them because they still smell like the studio even after being washed! :lmao: Definitely post the pictures you have of you dancing at WDW! I'd love to see them! :cheer2:

Hopefully your California trip will work out. :wizard: Still, it's good that you're being realistic. The Keys to the Kingdom tour that you're planning with your mom is a good distraction. I bet you'll have a blast with that!

Good luck at the salon today! :goodvibes

Hm....I'd probably choose the Main Street Bakery. All sorts of yumminess coming from that place. Plus, just the scent of it is Disney to me. :) But Enchanted, you have a point, I love me some LTT too. It would be one of those two. popcorn::

Oh gosh....I'd have to say.... the Luau food!

I've never been to the Poly Luau. I haven't heard great things about the food, but now you're making me rethink it. Perhaps we'll try this next time we're on the DDP!

Your "what if" question cracks me up today because I LOVE Earl of Sandwich and just found out they put one in the new airport terminal here in Detroit so I checked their website and OMG there is an Earl of Sandwich about 10 minutes from me in Ann Arbor. No way! I had no idea EoS was a chain? Come onnnn, Canada next!:rotfl: Lucky you!!!

Aww I hope you're feeling better!

I definitely spent a lot of time in the studio but my knees aren't so happy with me for it now! I spent a year in physio for them and they still hurt me when I walk or stand for extended periods of time. I have knee braces I'm going to have to wear this year at WDW. It turns out my joints are TOO flexible and ballet pushed them too hard and damaged them.:headache:

I love your bangs!! I ended up chickening out today... so no bangs... but when I do get them, that's just the look I want.

Hm....I'd probably choose the Main Street Bakery. All sorts of yumminess coming from that place. Plus, just the scent of it is Disney to me. :) But Enchanted, you have a point, I love me some LTT too. It would be one of those two. popcorn::

Ohhh I would love a Main Street Bakery room spray! They should sell that.:lovestruc

The Colony Salad at LTT is sooooooooo delicious.popcorn::

My mom and I have decided to take a mini trip sometime in the next few weeks (possibly this weekend!). We're planning on hitting Niagara Falls and then driving down to Buffalo to do some shopping. We love Target!!! Plus we can eat at IHOP which is our favourite non Canadian restaurant (we are so cultured:rotfl: ). It might sound boring but oh my goodness, I could go for a Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity breakfast right now! Just a small thing, but a nice little day or two trip while we're waiting for WDW.

I got asked 3 TIMES today if I was a student doing a high school co-op at the hospital. I know this is probably something I will come to appreciate as I get older but... I just want to look my age!!:rotfl: At least they didn't ask if I was a middle schooler participating in Take Your Kid To Work Day.

I'm going to call and rebook Teppan Edo tonight. I hope they still have availability!

It's a totally dreary day here today (but WARM!) so I'm going to post some past trip pics to brighten this up.

Oops! I forgot my Disney "If" question!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Today's question is: :cheer2: :cheer2:

If you could ask Walt himself one question, what would you ask him?:wizard:

I would ask him what kept him going when he got discouraged... how he got through the times when he doubted his success.

I would also ask if there is anything he would do differently.

Ooh! Your questions are so good! I'm not that deep or profound! I'd ask Walt if he would adopt me! :rotfl:

Ooooh. I love your question!! I think I would ask Walt what he thinks of WDW and how it's turned out. :goodvibes

I wouldn't say no to that!!:rotfl:

Yeah I second that! I want to be adopted, :love:too!!!

Ooh, I see I'll have to get in line...LOL:laughing:

Ooooh. I love your question!! I think I would ask Walt what he thinks of WDW and how it's turned out. :goodvibes

I would love to know that! Disney has grown so much... I do hope it's something Walt would be happy with. :goodvibes

OH! And we got our reservation confirmation for our ASMu night in the mail today. Is it weird that I'm almost more excited to see ASMu than YC!:woohoo:

Thanks for the get-well hugs. :goodvibes I'm feeling a lot better today! That's terrible about your knees! Here's your own get well hug! I never had any major injuries, but my class was nicknamed "The Crips" (short for Cripples, in case you didn't know  ...) because so many people were injured with knee dislocations, pulled hamstrings, broken ankles, etc. At one point half of our class was out! :sad2:

Thanks for the hair compliment! :goodvibes I'm sure your hair turned out really cute even if you did chicken out on the bangs. :cutie:

OMG, I would TOTALLY buy this. YUM! :worship:

Your weekend trip with your mom sounds like fun. Target and IHOP are the bomb. Hahaha :rotfl:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Today's question is: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ooooh, this is a tough one!

I guess I would ask him which Disney character did he feel most reflected his own personality.

I love your PTR so far! And your question game is GREAT!!!

If I could ask Walt Disney one thing I think I would ask him how he came up with all of these ideas...

If I could ask Walt one question, I would ask why he moved the CoP to WDW from Disneyland? It so belongs in Disneyland. pixiedust:

Hey now, some of us are happy it ended up at WDW!! I LOVE CoP!!!

Dance is a dangerous art! Seriously, I broke my arm in class in 2007. I am surprisingly klutzy LOL.

Great question though! It wonder if it would be Mickey? Or maybe there's a little of him in each character? :goodvibes

Yay for confirmation!

I know, I was super relieved to get it in the mail. Woohoo!

I love your PTR so far! And your question game is GREAT!!!

If I could ask Walt Disney one thing I think I would ask him how he came up with all of these ideas...

I would LOVE to know that. He truly was a genius. And Welcome!!! It's great to have you here!:cool1:

Bleghhh I am totally sick today (ahem... Enchanted... perhaps I caught it from you?:rotfl: ) so I'm in bed and feeling yucky. I slept until 2:30 (yikes) and I feel all shakey and sore and my tummy is not so happy. I totally had plans today too, which sucks. But I'm trying to just relax, surf the DIS, nap, and force as much food as I can into myself. I wonder what the nutritional benefits of Halls are? LOL

WOW I cannot believe it is already 4:30! Anyway, I'll get the Disney "If" Question posted for today::cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

If you could choose the theme of the next park or resort to be built, what would it be?

As far as the next theme park, I think it would be really neat to have an "Animated" park... with everything themed like life size animations of all the Disney classics. Tons of characters, shows, character meals, artwork... I think it would be really, really neat.

And for the resort... I would build a World Showcase resort. Different buildings themed like different countries, really diverse restaurants, CMs from all over the world... and one amazing gift shop!
