They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

Hey! Just wanted to catch up. Love the shirts you got, everything is very cute! Sorry that you are having a rough time with one of your friends. I have been there, I know what you are going through, and it's awful. I hope that everything works out for the best.

Anyway, get some rest, and I hope you enjoy the weekend! Here, have a :mickeybar on me!

Your dog is adorable. Toronto is beautiful. I'd love to visit someday. It's on my to do list. The shirts are great. I bought the minnie t shirt, mickey t shirt, tinkerbell tshirt, goofy, grumpy and a button down with mickey emblem for Brad and a mickey, pinocchio, and goofy for Tyson. Total with shipping was $60. Not bad for 9 shirts.

I'm sorry your friendship is bringing you down. Maybe it will work itself out. Just don't let people bring you down. I have found that, for me, it's best to talk to the friend instead of ignoring them and leaving them to wonder what happened. Alot of times they don't realize what they are doing to you. Just a thought, since I don't know the circumstances. Big hugs though.

OH and I love Jon and Kate plus 8 too. I just don't have a DVR to record it so I never end up watching. I love the marathons. That's when I catch up. Kate does bring down Jon but he seems to bicker right back with her. I think it's just part of their relationship. Kind of like teasing/flirtatious bickering. Sometimes she is a bit harsh though. But I love her!!

Thanks! I've been talking with my friend and I hope things work out because it's a friendship that's lasted over 15 years.

Toronto is a great city to visit, and I definitely recommend visiting the summer, it's gorgeous! Even before we moved here I always loved coming down for weekends, there is so much to do.

Looks like you did even better than me with the Disney deals! I'm impressed. Sounds like you got some great stuff!

And I feel exactly the same way you do about Kate... she can be a little harsh sometimes but I really like her! And we don't have DVR either so I love catching the marathons. And of course, I had to buy the first two seasons on DVD!:rotfl:

Thank you.:grouphug: Mmmm I will take that Mickey bar gladly!:goodvibes It's just hard when friendships go wrong... even harder than relationships, IMO. I'm hoping for the best but it still makes me sad.

On a happier note, the 2009 planning DVD arrived today!:cool1: :thumbsup2 Can't wait to watch it... I never did get the 2008 one so I'm excited for this one!

I've got a fairly quiet Friday lined up... got some school stuff to do, cleaning, and then in the evening I'm helping out with the youth ministry at my church. There's another youth leader there that I think is super cute:rolleyes: and great with the kids. So I'm actually really looking forward to tonight, it should be fun.

Oh! And the Mickey Bar offer from Jewels reminded me... I had my very first Mickey Bar on our last trip! So here is me taking a bite of my first one ever.:goodvibes

I hope you're Friday (and the weekend) go much better for you! :goodvibes Working on friendships is so different - especially maintaining one for such a long time like you have. I hope it all works out for the best.

I love your Disney purchases. You got some really awesome deals!!!

Have a great time w/ your youth ministry tonight!

Love the pupster (cutie pie) and the shirts! I need to order us a few shirts before they're all gone!!!

Hey there! Just coming out of the woodwork to say that I'm enjoying your Pre-Trip report. And, you look just like Ariel from The Little Mermaid!! (I bet you get that a lot). Do you have any pictures with the two of you?

Thanks, I had a great time! We got about 60 kids out tonight, it was a lot of fun.:goodvibes I think really refocusing my thoughts on the things in life that are important made me feel a lot better!

Thanks! And I was nervous that they had run out, I couldn't figure out where to find them on the site at first. Unfortunately there were a few shirts I wanted they didn't have my size in. Oh well, I'm happy with what I've got!:thumbsup2 They're a great deal!

pixiedust: Welcome!!!pixiedust:

You have no idea how excited I get about readers/comments.:rotfl: Thanks for stopping by. And actually I've never been told I look like Ariel before... but thank you! I would love to look like her.:goodvibes Unfortunately I don't have any pictures with her, I've never seen Ariel's Grotto with less than an hour wait and I can't handle that long in a line up.:faint: Hopefully I will be able to get one in May, though!

Off to check out your PTR!:)

Well. I did almost nothing today.:rotfl2:

I reconfigured our itinerary, though! So I'll post that later and hopefully get some feedback. Oh, and I came up with a little PTR game while planning that is slightly lame... but could be fun. It amused me and DM this afternoon for a while.:thumbsup2

Right now about to start watching The Holiday. And eating Jos Louis (are those a Canadian thing?) I need a romantic comedy and junk food!!!

Will update soon!:cheer2:

Blech I'm kind of bummed because I found a hole in my Tink shirt that I just got. It's a small hole on the front, but it's there. I wore it for the first time today but I already took the tags off. I know it was only like 4 bucks, so I'm reluctant to say anything to Disney, but if it gets bigger we won't have our matching shirt to wear, which is the whole reason we got them. I would just order a new one, but shipping to Canada is over 30 bucks.:scared: I'm not sure what to do. I might take it to a nearby shop tomorrow to see if it can be fixed. Hope so!

Oh! And I need some DIS opinions!!! I'm going to go get my hair cut on Tuesday and... I have no idea what to do. I got it trimmed about a month ago (you can tell it was longer in the December pictures) but I feel like it's a little boring now. Here's a picture I took to show ya what it looks like now:
IMG_0798.jpg

I kind of want bangs, I've never had them, but I'm afraid of committing. I think it would be neat to get it cut to just above chin length but again... I've never had short hair! I don't want to wimp out and just get layers or a trim like I always do... and I don't particularly want to dye it either. I definitely want something low maintenance because I usually just go to bed with my hair wet and then go with however it looks when I wake up.:rotfl2: As you can see, it's naturally wavy... and I only straighten it for special occasions really. Any ideas?:flower3:

Oh, and here's the game. I don't know if any of you have heard of The Big Book of If

cceb810ae7a0abfc781f8110._AA240_.L.jpg

but we have a copy of it and basically it's just a conversation starter type book with all kind of random "if....?" questions. Sounds simple, but it can get pretty interesting! I'm particularly a fan of it on long drives or waiting rooms... stuff like that. Anyway, I tend to bug people with it often.

So I figure as a conversation starter (or rather... conversation continuer?), we could play:

:cheer2: :cheer2: The Disney IF Game!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I'll post an if....? question every day and I'd love to see some answers.:goodvibes I'll answer them myself too!

So tonight's (I'm counting tonight as February 7th even though it's technically past midnight) question is:

If you could win a $1000 shopping spree at any store in WDW world (including resorts, DTD, etc), where would you go and what would you buy?

Personally, I would head to World of Disney at Downtown Disney. Not sure if that's a cop out because it's only the biggest Disney store in the world:lmao: but I can NOT walk out of there without buying a million things! I would buy a little of everything... clothes, jewelry, picture frames, books, music, scrapbook supplies, stuffed animals... and I would probably spend a little at BBB too!

Who's next?:goodvibes Hope this isn't a lame idea LOL. Just testing it out and if it turns out to be a little uh, less than stellar... I can drop it quickly.:rotfl:

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Going to church in the morning, afternoon full of non-fun work and cleaning etc. but then going to see He's Just Not That Into You in the evening with a friend. Looks like fun. I'm totally a chick flick person! (Lady Lallie I love the Holiday too! So cute.:goodvibes ) I'm still kind of upset about the friendship thing because I just can't see it working out... but I'm turning from sad to angry as it's playing out. There's nothing that frustrates me more than being accused of things that are patently false. Oh well, I'm not worrying too much about it now. I am warm and safe in my bed, I have other amazing friends, a great family, a Disney trip to plan, an education, and my whole life ahead of me. No time for pity parties now!:p Gotta remember how lucky I am.:goodvibes I'm not going to let one person bring me down.

Well now that it's past 1:30 I should probably shut down the laptop. Early morning tomorrow! This may have been the longest and most random update I've done so far, but I have a sort of all-over-the-place brain.:rotfl:

Night!!:grouphug:

Ooh! I'll answer the "what if..."

I was thinking WoD too, but I choose the Wyland gallery at the Polynesian. A cool G would be a nice down payment on this:
wy05755gc.jpg

DH has a 250 gallon saltwater fish/coral tank built into the wall in our office/den. He would love this!

Oooh!! I like the Disney What If Game!!

I would go to the Toy Solider or is Tin Solider in England at Epcot's World Showcase. They have the greatest toys in there PLUS they have a bunch of Mary Poppins books. That is where I would go. :thumbsup2

Well I have never hand bangs either until about 3 years ago...I let my sister in law try some new hairstyle. I hated them the minute they were cut. They just finally caught up to the rest of my hair. I am not a bang person, but that is just me. Can't wait to see which hairstyle you go with!!!

Can you believe, we stayed at the Poly in December and I never made it into the Wyland gallery!! I saw some of the artwork from the outside though, and it's so neat. Perhaps I should've expanded the budget a little so you could pay for the painting in full?:rotfl:

Again, another store I've never been inside! Wow, I'm going to have to check both of those out. I didn't even know they made Mary Poppins books. Learn something new every day.:goodvibes

See, that's what I'm afraid of, them taking a really long time to grow back. But I think I might just go for it and if I don't like them, invest in some clips and headbands.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Here's the IF question for today::cheer2: :cheer2:

If you could "be friends";) with any character appearing in the parks currently, which would you choose?

Personally, I would choose Belle. She is my absolute favourite Disney princess. Seeing little girls meet her in her yellow dress is so magical, I would love to be a part of that.:goodvibes After Belle, I would pick Chip or Dale. They have so much fun!:rotfl:

Hummmmm, that's a hard one. I'm thinking Captain Jack!! We could be friends with benefits!! But who wouldn't want to be BFF with Mickey, he's got to have all of the hook ups!!:rotfl:

Whoops, sorry I might have mixed up the terminology... by "be friends with" I mean which character would you like to be in the parks? I think I read that on a thread by a CM but it must not be a widely used term!

But otherwise, I think Captain Jack is a great choice!:rotfl:

OOPS!! Ha Ha Ha Ha!! :rotfl2: In that case, I think I would definitely like to "be friends" with Rhino from "Bolt". I've become somewhat of a germ-o-phobe since my first year student teaching when I got Scarlet Fever. I'm no Howie Mandel, but I do wash my hands a million times a day and don't leave the house without my hand sanitizer! Being Rhino in a hamster bubble would be perfect for me when meeting all of those kiddos!:thumbsup2

You know who I'd be friends with........Tink!! Get over to my board and play Attraction of the Day missy!

Thanks for your picture help! I just got some put up!!

I'll have to get caught up on your PTR tomorrow night, but I do have to tell you I'm jealous that you're going to DLR! I hope to make it there, eventually!

Followed you over here from my own PTR. I'm all caught up now! :goodvibes I'm so jealous of you staying at the Yacht Club! It's so gorgeous over there with the boardwalk and everything. You and your mom are going to have so much fun! :wizard:

I hope your California trip works out. It would be a total bumski (Enchanted Princess speak for "bummer") if your plans fell through.

Randomness: Jon and Kate +8 is one of my FAVORITE shows. I adore those kids, they are too funny. :rotfl2: And I totally respect Kate for everything's she's been through. Also, I love hearing your stories about the kids you teach. They sound adorable!

Your "what if" game is fun! I'm going to look into the actual book, and maybe Mom, Aunt C, and I will play it during our 17 hour drive! ;)

I would also choose either the Wyland gallery or the art store at DTD. The artwork, especially the paintings, at those places always take my breath way.

As for your second "what if" about being "friends" with the characters, I would also choose Belle as one of my picks. Like you, she's my favorite princess. But Alice would be a close second. She is hysterical, especially when she's with the Mad Hatter. I would totally love celebrating unbirthdays with people and just generally acting like I'm off in my own little "Wonderland" like the other friends of Alice do. ;) Also, I LOVE her outfit. :cutie: Jasmine would also be fun just because I've always had a crush on Aladdin so it would be nice to hang out with HIS friends if you know what I mean.... :rolleyes1

Finally, I would go for the bangs. I've had them several times, and I got tons of compliments on them. Personally, I think they're the easiest way to change up your look. Also, they're supposedly really in right now because Jessica Alba just got them. :rotfl: Remember, you don't have to go totally dramatic and get blunt bangs if you're not comfortable with them. If you've never ever had them, it may be better to ask for "swoop" bangs, which just sort of swoop across your forehead from your part. These are usually long enough to pull back if they're annoying you. :thumbsup2 I might have some pictures to demonstrate, I'll have to look through my files tomorrow and report back.

Looking forward to reading more! :cheer2:

Emily

Hey there!! I've been gone for a while, so I didn't get to answer yesterday's question.......hehe. Anyway, I haven't had bangs since I was little. Everytime I go to get my hair cut I think that it might be nice to have them, but then I remember that my hair has a tendency to stick to the back of my neck in hot weather, and I really don't want to walk around with my bangs plastered to my forehead all day. But that's me, and as I am moving to Texas where it is hot all the time, I think that I shall forgo the bangs. But I can't wait to see what you decide! :cutie:
