Morning Everyone.

Movie was cute... not great, not wonderful, but cute. Definitely a fun night out for the girls though...I had a great time.

Jo- your TR is so much fun to read. And look at all those pics. I too can't believe all the photos you have with no people... how'd you do that!!!!!

So - Shelly / RF any new house news to report. I need to pack today and was hoping someone would join me. I'll work on helping get you motivated.

I'm leaving in a few minutes to take Beau Gator the Bulldog to see a veterinary opthomologist. Not looking forward to that bill.

Hope all is well in MAYerLand.

Lake- glad you had fun with the girls even if the movie wasn't wonderful.

I think it's cool that you guys are having a Moving MAYer Meet! Everyone that's moving is meetin' up. How fun. You guys will all enjoy that so much.

Drew broke out in a rash yesterday. Not exactly a rash. Looks almost like ?? chicken pox ?? but not really. They are these blisters that are painful, not itchy, so it isn't chicken pox. Took him to the Dr last night late and they are all stumped as to what it is. That's my boy, the Medical Mystery.

Anyway- we're keeping a close eye on him and applying some antibiotic cream-- we'll see how that goes.


Sea- how Mom's doin?
When can she come home and what's the next step in tx?

Morning all.... got a quick minute while Marissa is putting on her clothes... my baby is 4 today .... Funny story this morning after she woke up i did the whole yay it's your birthday and you are 4 now. Once i said that she got the most disappointed look on her face and she "i'm not 3 anymore" like her world just came crashing down.... i swear she is so funny then everyone kept calling her to say happy birthday but she did not want to speak to anybody she wouldn't get on the phone. I wonder what she is gonna do when she turns 5.... she is so dramatic now she is fine.... but if you ask her she is still 3....

Sea- good news on the new business.... I'm happy for you....

RF - I'm glad everything is coming along nicely,...

Shelly - Lake - RF - I'm jealous you guys are meeting up......

Jo - LOVE your TR.... it does look really empty in the pics... I got most of her party stuff already just a couple of decorations i need to get....

Summer plans - Chris went to a church camp last week in Talladega, AL. I was worried he would learn to pray like Ricky Bobby or Cal Norton, Jr.

Next week both kids are going to Camp at Brookhill. They are both so excited. They love it there!

Chloe does a summer dance intensive workshop the week after, which is an 8 to 5 thing here in Little Rock.

Chris has summer sports training at the school every M, W, and F. He is there now.

We have orthodontist this afternoon. A lot of the same stuff as usual around here.

No BIG trips planned.

I will probably plan something before the summer is finished. We'll see!

You just never know about me!

Now, What is everyone else planning besides BIG moves?

to Marissa! That is too funny that she is in denial about turning 4! I am still in denial about DS turning 10 two months ago. . . Maybe it's the whole - he is an adult by Disney - thing!

We canceled any and all mini trips we had planned due to DH's work situation. We would rather save the money in hopes of getting back to Disney next winter!

The kids are all done with soccer and have not signed up for a dang thing this summer. I guess that's kind of a good thing though, less running around plus they will keep busy with the move.


So I guess my big summer outing will be the Moving MAYer Meet!

No real house news to report today. No phone calls or anything yet today!

Our last move was during summer. It was the first move we made that was within the same town. The first time we were NOT moving for DH's work. We were lucky and had time between when we had to be out of our current house and into the new house. I would try to load the SUV and then drive over to the new house and unload it. I had the kids in the backseats but it is shocking what you can pile into the back of an SUV and the front seat area. My goal was 1 load a day.

So like Jo said, one box at a time and it is surprising what you can do!

My mom is dealing with a lot of nausea, hasn't started eating any solids yet. The doctors haven't told us when she might go home yet.

We really can't get away for any vacations for a while now. We are going to do some "day trips" to Catalina Island, Solvang, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and San Diego if we arrange full time help with my MIL. It is just very difficult right now to think about getting away.

Emmy went through something very similar as Marissa... I think she was scared of not being my baby anymore, and wanted to hang onto 3 as long as she could.

But now at 4 1/2... she's like ...mom when do I turn 5, I'm almost 5 right..I can't wit to be 5..Big Girls are 5 you know.

Hi Mayers - Got some sad news today - a friend of mine passed away early this morning. He was battling stomach cancer for about a year. He leaves behind a wife and son who is about 12 years old. They were apart of our small homeschool/church coop the last two years. Richard was tremendous giver, he served daily at the Union Rescue Mission on skidrow in downtown LA. Please remember his wife, Maria and his son Duke during this difficult time. Thanks!- Sea

Disneyland, continued... Frontierland!!!!!

Walked down by the river, back in front of POTC towards Frontierland. This picture is taken from the Hub, looking towards Frontierland. i'm showing you all this b/c it is so cool. It actually looks like what I've always imagined a "town" looked like way back when, complete with the gates to close up shop in case of attack.

This pic was taken a different day, but here ya go.

When you come thru the gates, you pass a cannon on the right, shops on the left, also a Mexican restaurant on the right as well as a cute little courtyard with bathrooms

before reaching....

Big Thunder! The fastest ride in the Wilderness! You can see the wait time listed as 5 minutes and FP return time of 9:05 so it is only around 8:30-8:40 at this point.

The Mine shaft of the out of control Big Thunder railroad...

And the backside of BTMRR-

Once you pass BTMRR, there is an area called Big Thunder Ranch.

And also a walkway into Fantasyland... for perspective, BTMRR is on the right of this pic, Fantasyland ahead of you, and BTMranch is to your left.

Next we're n to Fantasyland, where we meet up with crowds as they begin to build.

We found both days that the majority of people start on the right side of the park- (that would be Tommorrowland), and work their way counterclockwise. Whereas we started both days on the left side of the park and had almost a full hour with no one around us. Both mornings were actually the best time of the trip for us.

Up next... our first ride in Disneyland! Hum.... I wonder what it will be????
