Disneyland, continued....
Fantasyland!
As soon as we walked on the pathway to Fantasyland, we could tell we had run into the crowds. It didn't look the same. It didn't feel the same.
I looked at Mark and said "Pick a ride. Any ride, first ride we get to. Just get on one."
And so without further ado, our first Disneyland ride....
Pinocchio's Daring Journey! Quite fitting, since we are on somewhat of a journey ourselves into unknown territory. Hopefully Pinocchio has a better idea of what he's doing than we do...
Outside the ride-- cute detail- and hey look- it's Jo's image in the glass!
The ride was very very cute. I liked it a lot. We walked right on it, no lines. I wish WDW had this one, the kids would enjoy it. Might be a bit frightening with the whale, but not terribly so.
In the end, all turned out well for Pinocchio. He became a real boy and immediately asked what's for dinner.
Next we saw Snow White and got in that line. Actually we sort of walked on.
Saw the apple outside the ride...
And inside the door-- a warning... Oh I do hope Snow White is careful!
Snow White is very similar to the one in WDW. Snow White was saved by her Prince Charming and all was well.
Whew.
We were able to continue without Mark saving the day for the damsel in distress which was a wonderful relief to him.
Walked along again some more. After the Daring Journey and the poison apple shenanigans, we were ready to just be spectators again for a minute.
Came upon the Matterhorn, no lines but being unsure of what it entailed and it being so early yet and Marky having a weak stomach... we bypassed it and saved it for later.
Got in line instead for a ride I'd not heard of but it looked pretty safe...
Storybookland.
We stood in line for ten minutes without moving. Something wasn't right. I think an errant dragon or some such nonsense had blown storybookland to Kingdomcome or something.
So we got out of that line
and walked more.
Small WOrld in the distance-
HISTA, of which, we are NOT fans...
Here's where we felt like we were wandering around, not doing much.
Jo's background with TGM was starting to creep into her head and she started wishing she'd not just walked around all morning taking pictures for Shelly.

Hi Shelly!

And so with that, we walked here, to this queue, and got in line--
Wanna guess which ride this is?

I'm sure you can figure it out.
Up next--
The unknown ride....
