It's rainy and cloudy here today. I just can't seem to get motivated to go to the gym. :sad2: The forcast is for rain all week.

Morning

Lake - I am SO SORRY about your sister.

pixiedust: - - - that they find the scum that did this to them. She must be so heartbroker over the jewlery. Ugh, I am so sorry.

Do your girls currently go to private school or are you just looking to change to another public school?

They are in a tiny private school right now. Things just aren't very stable there lately, and I don't know if the changes that we know are happening next year are going to be good changes for DD9 (because of the anxiety/panic). But I'm also very concerned about her being labeled at a public school because at times, she does have extra needs.

Good morning MAYers!

Another beautiful sunny day here!! :goodvibes

Lake - so sorry about your sister. That is awful and scary. Hope they catch whoever did that.

I'll be in and out today. The kids have early dismissal the rest of the week and I have their end-of-the-year conferences this afternoon.

My kids are in private school as well. Our school has around 1300 kids K thru 12, so I am not sure what size of school that might be. I know our school has been great for both of my kids, but especially my dd. She is dyslexic and dysgraphic and our school has been great allowing for modifications for her. And I have asked for them right now on an as needed basis. Mostly she does things without modifications, but sometimes she has so much homework that I just draw a line on her paper and say that is all she is completing for the night.

My good friend is moving her DD to public school here next year. It has been a hard decision for her, but I think the right one.

I know it is hard trying to make the right decisions for your kids concerning education and for your family. If I were considering a change, I would have that sick feeling in the pit on my stomach too!

I sure could go for some TR today. . . . . :rolleyes1

Anybody? Trix - you have one day left don't you? NC - you should have a lot left!

:yay:

Welp, I just checked in online. :woohoo: Sooo easy! Now I just have to wait 10 more days. :bored:

Hi Mayers!

Lake - That is so sad and rotten to hear what happen to your sister. I hope the police did a thorough investigation and collected evidence.

RF - 10 days! Almost in the single digits!

Shelly - Glad to hear you are enjoying the nice weather I sent you. :rotfl:

NC - I am sending some of the nice weather over to you next.

Maybe this is stupid, but I am kind of worried about the "swine flu" and the fact that I am traveling in 10 days. :sad2:

I know that everyone keeps saying just keep washing your hands... etc but seriously I am really nervous.

I need some MAYer reassurance and tips for staying healthy.:snooty: I bought hand sanitizer to keep with us in our bag and plan on trying to stay as clean as possible - but seriously - it's kinda scary. :guilty:

I can understand your concern. We live less than 300 miles from the Mexican border and there are a few cases in the San Diego area now.

Fortunately, nobody in the US has died of the flu.

I have used hand sanitizer for along time, it is a good practice to use it.
Stay away from anyone coughing or sneezing. Keep your hands away from your mouth and eyes, and always inspect the silverware, plates, glasses and tables before you use them.

Don't be alarmed or fearful, just be wise and you will be fine.

Woo hoo! Look at 'em go!

Don't worry about the flu-- stressing yourself out won't help.
Watch where you put your handds- don't touch railings- use an excessive amount of sanitizer.
You'll be fine.

Woo Pig Suie. :rotfl: Sorry NC. Had to do it. OF course Mark, the Florida Alum has been walking around with his Georgia Bulldog Alum friend- both of them have been yelling "Woo Pig Flu-ie."

LAke- horrible about your sister. I hope they catch the creeps who did it. That's just awful.

Shelly- :flower3: How are you?

Trix- Good to har some progress was made. You'll be walking down Main street USA soon enough. I feel it in my bones.pirate:

NC-- how 'bout this lovely weather?:scared::headache:

Sea-- Hey- we could use that warm weather again!!!

I know I haven't been around a bunch--
I'm having computer issues- so rather than sit here being frustrated- I just don't log on too often. Sorry-

plus- opening night of Drew's play is 2 weeks from today. Trying to put the finishing touches on the Dinner Theater centerpieces. It's taking forever.

Have a great rest of the day, MAYers.

It is scary RF! Right around Christmas time everybody was getting that norwalk virus at WDW. I was terrified of one (or all) of us getting it down there. We took lots of sanitizer and cleaners, but someone had posted that the only thing that would actually kill the virus was bleach. And since none of the Lysol wipes (or other brands) contained bleach, I actually packed some! As soon as we got in the room (even though it appeared very clean) I wiped down all hard surfaces! We washed our hands a lot and hoped for the best. And everything turned out alright!

I'm sure you'll be fine. Just be careful! (oh and take bleach! :rotfl:)

Thanks Sea! I really enjoyed that 4 days of beautiful warm sunshine we just had! :cloud9:

Too bad a cold front just moved in and when it hit our 84 degree day we were having the skies let loose. It's raining like crazy now.

Oh well, it sure was nice while it lasted!:goodvibes

I was just thinking this morning that I was glad I had not booked a cruise to Mexico. Although I do not think the flu is in Cozumel, but still....

AND I NEED A NEW TICKER TOO!!!!!

I just can't bare the thought of taking mine off.

That reminds me! I need to change mine!

Just put one on there ladies. We all know you'll be going next year ;)

ahhh- I'm back.

I have the hardest time staying gone.

Forgot to say that we will miss you next MAY, RF!:snooty: Buuuut-- I think you will enjoy Nov. Plus- naner dance for a cruise!:banana:

As to my May plans next year...:sad2:
I might be having to change my date. Our friends from SC-- the ones from my TR LAST May- the Dr and his wife- he's the one that runs the triathalons... anyway- she called and said her DH wanted to know if we would plan a land and sea with them next year in May- he's wanting to run the Half Iron Man before going to Hawaii to run the Iron Man.
ANYway... I said yes, of course, to the land-- um, heck to the no--- to the sea. So we are looking at the third week in MAy now, I think---? I'm not sure. They're coming here sometime this summer and we'll nail down the dates.

Trix-- your ticker should read blah blah blah..."...'till our MAYcation.":snooty::teacher:

Shelly- those pics of the BC are beautiful! IS that the resort- if yo're on the boat going to the Boardwalk from Epcot- is that the resort on your left??? Across sort of from the BW hotel??

I always get so turned around.:rotfl: Did you see the pics of Kidani at the AKV???? Wow. It's beautiful.
