Well MAYers I am sitting here eating a huge chocolate-peanut butter melt-away egg that the Easter bunny brought me a few weeks ago! I think I can feel my behind getting larger by the minute!

I made about 57 calls this morning trying to coordinate volunteers for the Spring Book Fair for DS's school. I talked to a grand total of 2 people! :sad2: And now I wait for everyone to return my calls. . . . .

Does anybody really return those kinds of calls? :rotfl2: Good luck!

UGH!!! I hate calling like that.

Actually most do, they just take their good time about it! :rotfl:

These are actually people who signed up to help with the book fair, but the trouble is that they filled out the PTO volunteer form at the beginning of the school year - 7 months ago, so most of them have forgotten they even signed up by now!

Hello Mayers!

Good to see everyone this morning!

Welcome back Kait!

Shelly - Wonderful pictures of Pittsburgh - your boys looked like they really enjoyed that water. That incline ride looks really fun. How high does it go?

RF - 11 days??? Awesomeness!

Trixxie - Mouse Adventure had 3 different divisions, about 500 players. The idea of the game was to figure out puzzles. For example: Go to the Tiki Room, find all the bird names, use the cryptographer to find out the swapped out letters, then insert them into the puzzle that asks you a question: How much is a Dole Whip? Answer $3.00. They had 7 hours to do the quest. He was very tired after it was all over.

I know, I am really sick of repeating the same thing over and over into everyone's answering machine!

I am Chloe's homeroom mom, and I have everyone's email. I just email out a from with time slots or things to sign-up for. Everyone is really good about signing up and filling in the slots. I have a few who email me directly and ask that I "fill-in" their name. It is sooooo much easier than calling.

Well, now I have to get DS's prescriptions filled. I have a coupon for the Singulair, so I am going to take it in person to make sure I get my $20 off!

Tonight is parent night at dance, 3 hours of watching, then next week is dress rehearsal and recital. This year is almost over!!!

hey all.....long time no talk... I've been super busy and just so much stuff. I'm out and about right now but once i get home i'll have to read allllllllll those pages. glad to see everyone still around... Will be back later....

Could someone please tell me why outdoor stuff is so dang expensive??

We bought a fountain that I adore...it lights up and at night it reflects off of the water and hits the brick-- it's a magical oasis. I feel like I'm on vacation out there, so I guess I can live with the $.

:scared:

Hope all is well with everyone.

Jo

Sea - that sounds awesome!!!! I would love to do something like that at WDW! :goodvibes

Well, I have sad/awesome news.

I officially will not be a MAYer next year. :guilty:

I am definately going to WDW in November 2010.... That sounds so far away :scared:

We found a deal on a 5 day cozumel cruise for $399 pp for a balcony room sailing out of Tampa. So, since there are so many of us ( it will be us, 6 friends of our and misc friends and family) we are just going to get a big van and drive to WDW for 5 days after our cruise. :goodvibes I was afraid that it would have to be one or the other, but we figure that since we'll be down there already.... :rolleyes1 we might as well see the mouse.:wizard:

I think we did make a little progress actually! :woohoo:

But it's still too early to tell. I need to wait a while before we talk about it again. Don't want to push too hard, right? ;)

Morning everyone.
It pouring rain...but at least it's turning everything green.

Let's see what's new.

I spent much of yesterday talking to my sister in Toronto to help her. Over the weekend while they had gone up to the cottage, her house was burglarized. The smashed in through the backdoor, making a huge mess, cut the telephone lines, and ripped the alarm system out of the wall. They then proceeded straight upstairs to go through her bedroom, and take very sentimental pieces of jewlery which can never be replaced..yet left some more expensive pieces behind. My grandmothers string of pearls and a garnet ring, a broach and cameo that had all been left to my sister as the eldest grandaughter. My sister is just heart broken. But to top it off, after the theives had left the nice gaping hole in the back door, it invited the raccoons to come in an play and destroy for the weekend. Everything from ripping down screens, to destroying kitchen cupboards and yes evn pooping in various places throughout the house.

It was a disater for them to come home to..and after the police had been there, and they were just calmng down...a raccoon was discovered still in the house. So my sister tried to hold back the dog, and the sent the kids in the family room, while my BIL chased it out of the house with a garden hoe.

My sister says it all would have been quite funny if not so tramatic.

So today...I will try and accomplish all the things I didn't do yesterday.

What's everyone else up to today? Anyone willing to keep me company today. :)

I'm sorry you won't be there with us...but so happy that you will get another trip and a cruise with friends. That sounds great.

Good Morning!

I just got back from visiting our local public elementary school (we're considering making a change for the girls next year) and now I have a horrible stomachache!

There are so many factors involved, I don't know how in the world we're going to make a decision.

I am so sorry to hear what happened to your sister. I know they feel so violated. You were a good sister yesterday to spend time talking to her.

I HATE CRIME!!!

Do your girls currently go to private school or are you just looking to change to another public school?
