She has NO idea..... whenever the commercials come on for WDW all she does is looks at me....sometimes she says to me mom I wish we could go..... but i cannot wait until we are landing in MCO and i tell her.... I'm gonna record it and post it for you guys....

That's so great!

My parents were here this weekend, and keeping our secret from the kids was hard because I was trying to help them arrange their part of the trip reservation. They needed to book and pick which deck and room selection.

I think we managed to keep the secret though.

Good morning Mayers!

What a hectic weekend....

Chris had his graduation ceremonies on Saturday. WOW!!! I can't believe we are done with this. What a great relief.

Here are some pics...

My wife also had a milestone that day as well, she had Chris and two other former students of hers who also graduated from LA Baptist that day. It was such a blessing to see how grateful the parents were to see her and say such nice things.

After the ceremony we went to the Olive Garden for a nice celebration lunch. What great day!

Happy Memorial Day everybody!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. It's been a hot one here. Around 90 each day and very humid. We have been mostly working around the house this weekend. We had a shed put up last month and are just now working on the landscaping around it. Plus DH took the shutters off the house and we are going to paint them. :scared1: Hopefully it will turn out how we think it will!! You just never know with paint until you are all done how it is going to look! :scared:

We did take a little break from our chores yesterday afternoon and went into the city for a bit. Had dinner outside at Houlihan's. I thought of the MAYers and what a nice time we had there last summer! :snooty:

Great pics Sea! :goodvibes What a wonderful day for your family. That will be us in 10 years ~ our baby graduating High School. Oh my how time flies! :upsidedow

Thank you Lake...

Here are Chris' his senior portraits that I forgot to put up. I thought that they were excellent!

After we got home and crashed, Chris was getting texts from his dancing friends wanting him to come down celebrate his graduation at DLR.

We decided to go later and only stay a few hours...

Of course, he had to get his button!

Ok, I am not a big fan about this ride - going around in circles with barely anything holding you in, but I did ride it on Saturday. Got some video and will post it up later.

More to come...

So, I decided to give myself a gift because it was Chris' graduation. ;)

Hey, I needed this! So, I picked up the limited edition 55th Anniversary Disneyland Mickey Mouse ears. Only 1955 made. ;)

Check out the box that they came in! AWESOME!!!

I am so jazzed about it. These ears are a replica of what they sold in the park when it opened in 1955.

And I got 20% off with my AP pass too - even more better! :cool1::)

Sea - those are great ears..... Very nice gift to yourself....

Shelly - I hope we get to see pics once the shed is all done.. meaning the landscaping around it.... we too have had 90 degree weather this weekend....

Thanks Mari!

Ok, I found the postcard today from WDW. It is a pincode! 20% off of a value resort stay. I am going to call them see if the discount can applied to a moderate resort.

I will let you know what happens...

Yep, I'll have to take some pics when we get it done!

Just over a week to go for you!! :cool1: Will you be checking in live while at WDW??? popcorn::

Just over 5 MONTHS to go for us! :upsidedow

Thank you Shelly! I know the feeling - time is flying by so fast for us nowadays. But, I am enjoying these milestones because my boys are really doing good, happy and are looking forward to their future.

I hope you like the end result of your shutters. Glad you were able to getaway and enjoy some rest time too yesterday.

I bet you are very proud Sea. I am enjoying these times too. Enjoying them, but still a little sad that they are growing up so fast.

What does Chris have planned now that he has graduated?

Chris is going to go to Santa Monica College for two years to get all of general education classes done. SMC is a mile from our home. Then transfer to Cal State Long Beach or BIOLA in Fullerton to finish up a degree. He hasn't decided which one yet. Both of them have a Disney college program which he wants to do. He hasn't decided on a major yet, but if he goes working for Disney, they have lots of management positions at Team Disney Anaheim, which oversees Disneyland Resort.

For the summer, he is going to volunteer at our church a few days a week and some part time work for me.

You are going to have a great time!

Sea, what an awesome weekend you had. I know you are so proud of Chris. I can't believe he has graduated. He looks so handsome in his graduation pictures. That is so neat that Lena was able to watch some of her former students graduate as well.

Congratulations!!!

Monring all....

NC - i know I'm so excited... especially for a trip that wasn't supposed to happen... usually i have a couple of months prep time but this one i started planning i want to say end of April... and i still got some really good ADR's considering it was SO late.... So what are your plans... any ADRs???

Morning everyone!

This morning I discovered that I can officially view my reservation online and start making my plans for aboard ship. Only 7 months out now.

Yippeee!!

Mari.. only a week basically now! :cool1:

Sea- Congrats to Christopher and his graduation. I was thinking last night that we only have 4 weeks of school left and about how fast our school year has gone by. Having your youngest graduate must really give you that "where did the time go!" feeling. You and Lena should be very proud of the job you have done raising two wonderful young men.

Sea- Wonderful Toy Story pics! What an awesome experience! Congrats to Chris! Lena looked a little teary in the pic with the flower. :flower3: I love the new "my son graduated" gift to self .

Mari- Marissa is going to be soooo excited!!!!! Good luck keeping the secret over the next WEEK!

We had a nice weekend here. Spent some quality family time, put down 8 yards of fresh mulch in the back yard and finished the daycare room. I was in bed a little after 7 last night. It was an exhausting 3 days. My licensing lady called me back this morning and let me know I should be expecting 2 unannounced inspections from her and the fire marshal any day now. I'm shaking in my boots! Send some prayers that they come sooner than later so I'm not spending too much time worrying!
