Tomorrow my baby will be 3!!! I can't believe it. :sad2: DH asked her what she would like to do for her birthday and I had to giggle when she said she wanted to go to Disney World! We're making cupcakes today and may go to the mall tomorrow to the Disney store and ride the carousel. It's not Disney World but it's the closest we've got. DH and I were talking about Disney again last night- well, me more than him but any talk about Disney is fine with me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Emmy!! princess::cake:party: Have fun at the mall!

Well that sounds promising that you and DH are talking about Disney. . . Does that mean another trip is in your near future??? I hear November is nice. . . :rolleyes1 I can't seem to talk the MAYers in becoming November-ers! :lmao: It was a real bummer not having any DIS Meets in November. :sad1:

Shelly- I'm glad you're enjoying your new gig so much! Ain't teaching fun! We've gotten a few more inches of snow here too but I'm just trying to ignore it. As long as it isn't measured in feet I'm happy. Glad you're liking my TR. If anyone needs a laugh today you can visit and see a pic of a lady doing something very strange while waiting for the parade. :lmao:

I just spent the past half hour arguing with the credit card company. Still trying to hash out this fraud junk from December. It's only about $160 worth of charges but it's the principle of it. I'm just about to the point of paying it just to make it go away. We paid the card off after our trip and I don't want a balance on it. Stupid red tape and paperwork.

I am really enjoying working at the school. It's very rewarding.

That picture in your TR is too stinking funny!! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry you are still dealing with the cc thing. I thought you had it all taken care of. That really stinks. Don't pay it!! Keep on them!

Thanks for the bday wishes. I can't believe my baby will be 3 tomorrow. I'll take pics of our Disney Store for you. I'm worried it will be bare naked like yours when I get there. :sad2: We haven't been since before Christmas.

November-ers sounds a little funny. I'm wearing DH down though. It looks like not until 2012 at this point. We have stuff to take care of around our house first. Blah blah blah- sometimes it stinks to have to be an adult. I have it all planned out in my head already though. It will be in November/December so I can see the Christmas decorations, we'll fly, and I'd like to stay deluxe for the first time at WL with bunk beds. Nov./Dec. 2012 is SO far away though. I'll never make it that long without a Disney fix. I better start wearing DH down now.

I hope your Disney Store isn't too plain and bare! We are thinking about going to the other mall in Pittsburgh that has one and see what it looks like now.

Start working on the DH now and you will wear him down soon enough!! :rotfl: Maybe you can make it November/December 2011. :thumbsup2 You've definitely got to see Disney at Christmastime! :santa:

Happy Birthday to Emmy today! Have fun at the Disney store!

We had very heavy rainstorm starting around 2 am. Right now it is cloudy with some sun breaking through here and there. It is expected to rain some more this afternoon a bit then clear up for the rest of the weekend.

We are spending some time our friend Cornelia today. Please keep her husband in your prayers, he was recently diagnosed with arthritis and it has affected his arms and hands virtually overnight. He is dealing with a lot of discomfort and he hasn't been able to work full time for the last few weeks.

Making biscuits and gravy now - breakfast time!

yep, hoping Em has a wonderful bday! :bday:party::rainbow::jumping1:

There are some silly smilies for her birthday...

Been raining here, too, but supposed to let up by noon or so...hope the roofer can finally fix our roof! It rained so hard last night we called off going out with our friends -- not so bad though, since we just saw that band last month, so not like we are Led Zeppelin deprived, or anything  And my son Noah needed some parental advice and support last night so we had him over for dinner, it worked out for the best anyway :goodvibes

Sea, very sorry to hear about Cornelia's husband :guilty: He'll be in my prayers and let her know I'm thinking of her. Do you know if the doctor has given him anything to help with the pain?

Hello Mayers...Captain EO has returned back to Disneyland! This show played at DL starting in 1986 and lasted for about 10 years and was replaced by Honey, I Shrunk The Audience. Disney rebuilt the theater when they installed HISTA by adding a moving floor and special effects on the back of the seats such as fans and misters. They have made use of these effects now with CEO.

Ohhhh - pretty sign!

Waiting area...here is where you can watch John Landis and George Lucas direct and produce the show...

A full theater! 550 people showed up.

The show is presented in 70 millimeter 3D film. Some of the original effects, such as lasers and smoke were not re-installed for the show, but I didn't think it affected the show at all. LOVED the motion and bouncing of the theater with the show. It ROCKED! People were yelling, screaming, applauding and having a great time during the show. Lot's of smiles and laughter afterword. A five star presentation!!!

Of course now, time to spend that money!

Very 1980's here...

What would be Disneyland without a few geeks...check out these ladies who posed for me and showed me their Captain EO outfits!

LOL - Love the Hooter backpack!!!

So, if you want to see Captain EO, he is only at Disneyland...come join us soon!

I must be crazy. I just booked a girls trip to Vegas 2 days after we get back from Disney in June. I've been looking forward to this trip with friends to celebrate my 4oth birthday, now I am nervous that I will not be ready! I will be doing laundry like a maniac to get the kids ready for camp that week!

Wow, I can't believe I am the first one posting today.

Yeah, I know, what's up with that? For our East Coast Mayers, it's like...the middle of the day already!

Great Captain Eo pics. The concept and the promo poster seem so dated and 80's, but it really does look like fun, and there's that whole retro appeal. I was wondering why I never saw it, but I think it was showing after I'd moved to Northern CA and those were our lean years before we had any money to make the trip down. I'm looking forward to getting to see it :)

Hi to mom2npr, haven't seen you posting on here before -- welcome! :wave2:

2 weeks and 2 days, whoo hoo!!!

1. They have been all snowed in and are frozen or
2. They have lost power (a friend of mine hasn't had power in 4 days) or
3. Maybe we need to send out a search and rescue team...

Glad you like my pics KB. I think you will love the show a lot. We will definitely have to rock that out together!

 Nope, no snow here today! For once!

I had a doctor appointment this morning and have been working on PTO and Soccer stuff this afternoon! (oh and looking at my WDW plans :upsidedow)

Not sure where everyone else is. . . . :confused3

Hi Shelly!!! Good to hear that you are still alive and snowless today.

How is WDW planning coming along? Anything new in the mix? A waterpark?

Yep, alive and snowless. What more could a girl ask for?! :rotfl:

The WDW planning is coming along pretty well. Nothing really new in the mix. Other than debating on whether to do the MVMCP or not. :confused3 And we are going to do a volunteer day in June, so we are thinking about taking the GAD fastpass option, so I'm currently reading up on how that works.

Sorry...still trying to come out of my Olympics influenced coma/hibernation.

Congrats to Canada for winning the gold in hockey! It was such a great game. :woohoo: My husband is half Canadian, and several of our favorite players on American teams are Canadian nationals and were playing for team Canada anyway, so we didn't really care who won. I'm actually glad it was Canada, because they wanted it so bad, and they played so well, they really deserved it. Although I felt really bad for the US goalie at the end of the game...he looked crushed and I wanted to give him a hug

Hi Shelly! What dates are you going? Next time I go to WDW or DL and there is a holiday party going on, I will definitely try to schedule it, at least once just for the experience :goodvibes
