Hi M2A - Thank you. I do my best to keep you all entertained. :lmao:

Sea- nice hat. Between the 80's three piece leisure suits and that hat, you are one styled fella lately.

Shelly- sorry to hear DS has been hit by the stomach flu. The nasty cold virus is still making it's rounds here. I had a mom bring her little one yesterday and I turned him away at the door because he looked so miserable. I'm doing my best to keep things sanitized but the more you keep bringing them ill, the more it continues to be passed around to everyone.

And that Disney store was stark naked!!! Ours is nothing like that. It's very Disney themed- or at least it was the last time I was there in December. Even the outlet in Lancaster is themed. We may be going to the regular store in the mall on Saturday for DD's birthday to let her pick out something fun and I'll try to get some pics.

Why is it when Jo and Shelly get together the conversation always turns to food. :lmao:

Hi Sea!

Shelly-I get the Garden Harvest Salad but that BLT salad looks good too. Do you eat Hummus? People rave over the "Lighthouse Sandwich--hummus with tomato & broccoli slaw $8.09"
I don't eat it. Chick peas--

:rotfl:

If you guys aren't doing the DDP- then maybe the boys could get an adult meal and split it--? The adult nuggets might be different than the kids.

ooh- what about the Diamond Horseshoe? Is that new?? I don't remember it at all?

The Garden Harvest Salad looks good. . . Nope don't do hummus. Don't do bacon either, so no BLT salad for me.

Hmm. . . I guess I don't know where the Diamond Horseshoe is. . . don't remember it either. :confused3 Looks like it might be a nice place to have a light lunch!

Yep I am definitely iin the right place...

I see there has been a lot of talk of FOOD!!!!!!

Hi everyone.

Glad you are having fun planning your trips. :)

Shelly... I am sorry your little man isn't feeling well. :(
How is your husband doing after surgery??? All is coming along I hope.

Hi Jo! It is still morning here. I am still trying to wake up. Trying to think about business and selling something today or work on a new marketing project. Either way, I don't want to be do any of that. I felt a cold coming on last night so I went to the drug store and bought all these meds and then over to the market and got my veggies and fruits and started to nuke my body last night to beat this bugger down. Woke up today, drowsy, but the bugger is still here, but I am not feeling worse so that is good - so i am nuking myself again. Fun and games.

Hope you feel better soon Sea. :flower3: I had something nasty going on for about a week and a half but am finally starting to come out of it now. Just hoping I don't catch the stomach thing DS had last night.

Yeah -- lots of food talk here!! :cool1:

DH is doing well, thanks for asking. He went back to work last week, on restricted duty. He sees the surgeon next week and hopefully will be released to regular duty then. He is still going to physical therapy 3X a week.

Sea- that ride is neat! Did they take down that orange thingy to build it? we didn't ride it (I know, no surprise there, lol) but it looked neat.
Sorry you are feeling so yucky. Did you take your Vit C and Echinacea? Hope you feel better very very soon. It's hard to concentrate when all you wanna do is sleep.

Shelly- I'm guessing that the Diamond Horseshoe is where the Diamond Horseshoe revue used to be- Frontierland- near the Shooting arcade. It sounds pretty good!
No bacon???:confused3 Poor Hotdog-- he doesn't get bacon form the table! Oh wait, I forgot about Pork and hotdog not mixing well.:rotfl2: I think you'd like the Harvest salad. I think it's pretty good.:goodvibes And you have to go upstairs and eat. It's the funnest place on property.:)

Hi Lake!!! You're at the right place!:snooty:

Hey- did y'all hear they're bringing back the Electrical Parade for the summer? I'm sad I will miss it in May!! :guilty::sad2: I loved it as a child.

Okay- question for the MAYers---

would you cancel a reservation that is booked thru Disney to get the same stuff- 7 day park hoppers, garden view room at the Poly- nothing changes- just the price? I'd save $200 by booking the same vacation thru Southwest vacations.

Would you think $200 savings is worth the hassle?

More pics...so Sunday we met up with our friends from NoCal, Brian and Nat, and Gemma and Paul who live near us. Gemma is the one who made my son Jeremy a Darkwing Duck vinylmation. Here we are on the TOT -we took the whole back row.

Paul is wearing a Dale hat...I swear it looks creepy. Like he chopped off the chipmunk's head. LOL

Mishu and Mulan! This is the first time I have seen Mishu out in the parks.

We then headed over to the Paradise Pier hotel for the monthly pin trading event. The place was packed out.

Check out the limited edition Alice pins from the El Capitan...

These pins go on sale this Saturday at 6 am. I figured Jo would like to come out and keep me company on Hollywood Blvd. say...oh around 2 am to line up with me to get these pins...:rotfl2:

Like I said, I am on drugs. - Sea

Yes, that is the replacement of the Orange Stinger.

Yes, doing the Vitamin C - forgot about Echinacea, have to go and get that during lunch.

Yes, I did - I think WDW will have the parade for about 3 to 5 years since World of Color will be dominating DCA's night time entertainment.

Can you just call and ask them for a $200 credit while mentioning the Southwestern deal?

Sea- Mushu is in Epcot lots--- you'll have to come there if you want to see him again.:lmao: You mean to tell me that we aren't getting Electrical parade just b/c TPTB want to give WDW something just for kicks? you mean it's all b/c DL won't--- *sniff*----- need it????????? I'm writing a nasty gram now.:lmao:
At least we might have it for an extended time. I guess I need to plan my 2011 trip now.:woohoo:

J/K. Oh and Sea------ you're crazy if you think I'm going anywhere near hollywood Blvd at that hour.:rotfl2:

:lmao:
Good pics though- and the TOT pic is hilarious.

Shelly- it's a fun parade-- I have good memories from my childhood.:goodvibes Oooh- you'll be able to see it!!

Wow- Idon't know? Good idea though! I might try that b/c I really am scared of something going terribly wrong.:lmao:

I haven't seen it in entirety for almost 10 years. I have seen bits and pieces of it from time to time. I try to avoid it most of the time because it is so crowded all the time along the parade route.

I heard that. I have never seen it.

Too bad you will miss it.:sad2:

The ELP has been performing at DCA for the last 3 or 4 years now, not at DL. Because of all of new construction and the new show World of Color the ELP uses the parade route where they will need to stage the crowds for the new show. It is a logistics nightmare.

I was kind of hoping a new parade at DL would be presented because of DL's 55th anniversary, but I don't see that coming...lame.

Yea, I need to got to Epcot soon. I need a trip out this crazy place.

:rolleyes1

:snooty:

Shelly- forgot to tell you-

I thought it was just running during the summer? Is it going into fall too? Is it replacing Spectro or are they both running? :confused3

Are you serious??? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Okay MAYers. . . Given my new-found occupation I decided to call the Swan/Dolphin and see what the teacher/support staff rates were for my dates in November. . .

As of right now with my 40% off PIN I am paying something like $234 a night for the BWI.

I can get the Swan for the same dates for $169 a night.

What would you do???

I have my heart set on the BWI, but the main reason is for the location and the BW atmosphere. Well, the Swan is right next door to it.

I am coming up with a difference of $455. Which is a lot of money. BUT -- We couldn't use ME to get to/from the Swan, so we would be looking at something like $120 for a van transport. So now the savings would be $355. . . And then there is that $10 a night "resort fee" that the S/D charge for whatever reason. Now my savings is down to $285. Okay, now it's not looking like such a great deal, is it???

I don't know!!!

:faint:

:upsidedow

I think the BWI and the Swan/Dolphin are totally different resorts. The perception I get is that S/D would cater more towards the adults rather than the kids. That is just my initial feeling - but I am on drugs today - so take that what it is worth. - Sea
