"There's a 104 days of summer vacation..." updated 12/16 page 13!!

Next we got a visit from the Big Cheese himself. Moonk was in love. No, I'm not kidding. The kids was in love and could not stop talking about Mickey the entire time and watched him all over the room.

Then Donald stopped by.

Then Pluto..who Big Boy really liked!

Then Goofy stopped by again to play with the kids.

After dinner, we took a ride around the parks on the monorail. This was one of Moonk’s must do things. It was nice to let the food digest too.

We took the first train to the TTC first then we hopped from there the MR that goes to Epcot. As we walked up the ramp to the Epcot MR, a CM asked if we wanted to ride up front. I was so excited. DH told me to go with the kids since only 4 of us could go, I didn’t fight it.

Moonk was so excited! They giggled the whole time!

When we got back to Epcot we got in the regular car with the rest of the family. We decided to ride around again and come back to unload at Epcot and take the bus back to Pop.

So here is one of the sweetest walks ever…I love those two kids!!!!

When we got back to Pop, we took a few pictures out front.

Then we went and changed for a swim.

A nice end to our day!

Tomorrow…day two at MK!!!! Or as I like to call it …let’s see the left side of the park!!!

Oh what sweet pictures and I am so glad your doggie is just a little homesick and not seriously ill. Yeesh...you must have been so worried for a few minutes. Chef Mickeys looked like so much fun! And they got to "drive" the monorail...how awesome! Nice ending to the day!

We don't usually board him, he usually stays with my parents...so the poor thing was just upset. He has been back since then and did much better this time.

Oh! Thanks! He is a sweet dog...fat...but sweet! He has been the best dog for kids.

Ok, so we are keeping a watchful eye on the sky here in Goldsboro. I am getting nervous about Hannah. We have to move him in Saturday at 10 am, which means we will leave around 5am(don't want a car full of college stuff sitting in a hotel parking lot overnight Friday). According to our weather we will be driving through the worst of Hannah.

What is your weather over there saying about it? If she keeps on this track we plan on calling J and W to see what they say. I can't imagine hundreds of kids moving in during a tropical storm.

It changes from day to day really...now they are saying lots of rain...lots of tornado warnings and such...I'm just holding my breath. It looks like most of it will be thru by Saturday...not sure if anybody told Hannah! I would call the school...it could be a huge mess!

Things are kinda crazy around here right now. My FIL moved out with some woman he met online! It was totally unexpected and my kids were having a bad time with it...the whole thing is just a mess!!! We are getting better now...but I am far behind on the update thing...maybe soon! Bare with me! PLEASE!!!

Oh I hate the middle of the night stuff!!! I really wish they could plan these hurricanes to pass over during th day! I have been thru one hirricane, Fran, that hit during the night...hmmm..maybe '95? Anyway, a tornado went thru our back yard...scared the mess out of all of us! Well, not my Dad, he spelt thru the whole thing...20 trees fell!!! And he slept!

I hope this one is not too severe. My DH keeps asking me if I have supplies...uh...no ...what kind of supplies....a cell phone? Some water? Got that! I keep telling him...look, if it wipes us out, we got family to go stay with in other parts of the state...and I will.

Hope the move goes okay! All will be okay! Don't cry too hard!

Thanks...things are really looking up right now. I know it sounds weird...but it is kinda nice to have jsut us in the house for now. I just hope my FIL is okay. You don't care for someone for 4 years and just stop worrying about them, no matter how difficult things could get at times.

I am working on the next installment...Monday probably because DH is off this weekend!

Well we survived...we decided to leave at around 7 am thinking the worst would be over....HA...mother nature is a sick twisted momma...it poured all the way to Greensboro, and to add insult, we lost power right as we walked out the door....

But..he is safely tucked into J and W and had his first day today. I waved to you going over the bridge, waved to ya at Starbucks and cried that afternoon in Walmart, the school bookstore and during dinner at Chilis. BUT, no tears when we said goodbye. PHEW...Dh and I had a night alone for the first time in a long time at the hotel...

Now the ride home, it was bumper to bumper going over our favorite bridge. Can you say white knuckles?

I hope things are looking up for you. How is your FIL? Did he go far?

Hi! I was going to see how things went. I thought of you as I saw things were delayed hitting like they said! I am glad the trip went okay. You have to let me know how things are going for him!

I hate it when that dang bridge has traffic! Sorry you had to go over it too while the river is so high! HATE THAT!!! It seems like that muddy water is RIGHT THERE!!!!

FIL went to OHIO!!!! We won't be going to see him until next spring...I do not travel north in the winter...don't have ANY desire to drive thru WV in the snow! I don't like driving those mountain roads when there is no snow!

I hope to post an update soon...we are also remodeling a bathroom and that is driving me insane right now! Plus I am making a bag for my mother for her birthday, trying to return everything to the VA that my FIL just left....ugh...life!!! Getting in the way of everything!

I was real excited about going back to MK. The kids really enjoyed the first day there, so a second day would be REAL fun!

We decided to sleep in and eat breakfast at POP. My parents decided to eat in their room, they really just drink tea most of the time for breakfast.

Big Boy was soooo excited to get the Mickey waffles. Bits had his usual, bacon. That kid LOVES bacon. Moonk had cereal. I had a yummy parfait and DH had one of those breakfast platters. All in all, a good breakfast and it was nice having some us time with the kids.

We met Memaw and Pepaw at the bus stop sometime around 10:00 and we were off to MK.

When we arrived, I had one demand…I wanted to walk down Main Street. I had missed this the other day with trying to rush for the flag ceremony stuff. But, DH was not into a leisure stroll mood. He took off. Moonk kept trying to go into the stores, but DH was walking too fast.

I finally caught up to him about where the glass shop was at and slowed him down a bit. We took a quick tour and then it was back to the street.

I got the map out to direct us to the right area. I had all in tow.

As I crossed over into Adventureland, a woman walked by me with “it“!!!! What was “it” you ask?

Ahh…what I had been drooling over for months on the DIS



….a DOLE WHIP!!!!!!


I had never had one before and I was going to have one RIGHT NOW!!!

I know…I had just had breakfast…but that is a fruit right? But to be honest...it was all apart of my plan...why else would I have had such a lite breakfast!

So, I stopped the entire caravan and pointed to the seats. I lined up and ordered.

First bite…HEAVEN!!!!

Then I realized…I meant to order the float! DOH! OH WELL!

It was still tasty!

As everyone finished their pitiful looking ice creams (ICE CREAM!!! THOSE PEOPLE DID NOT EAT THE DOLE WHIP!!! THEN THEY ALL TASTED MINE!!! HAVE THEY LOST IT!!!! )
….I went over to the Jungle Cruise to grab FP’s.

I got them up as they were done with the yucky old ice cream and hearded them towards my personal favorite on this side of the MK.

The Tiki Room.

Ah yes, this is a throw back to the trip from my childhood. We laughed so hard in the Tiki Room when I was a kid. I sing the song to my kids…WE LOVE IT!

We lined up…

I should also note...that is the very first shirt I have ever made! I was so proud of it! Moonk loves it! And Big Boy loves his ears...he was the only one to wear his the last two days! He looks so cute! And I am not sure why Bits has to pose funny in pictures! Funny kid!

We go in and there is this kid in front of us that had no desire to go. He was about 5 or 6. He ended up sitting right next to us. It was me, his mom, the kid, his dad. There did not seem to be anybody else with them.

Just before the show started, he threw himself on the floor and started kicking that he wanted to go. His parents did nothing.

Then he got in his seat, then he started to spit! SPIT!!!! RIGHT ON ME!!!! First, I wiped it off, then he did it again!!!!! I then looked at his mother with the “look”…then he did it again. I leaned towards the mother and asked if he could stop spitting. She told him to stop.

OHHHH!!! Scared of her…she said stop!

It was making me angry at that point. I kinda pushed my whole family down the bench to get away from them.

The show started…I heard the music…the kids were getting excited because they knew the music…then it went way down hill. Okay… I realize some things need to be updated…NOT THE TIKI ROOM!!!!! NOOOOO!!!!
The show ended…we get up…kid throws himself on the floor again…parents ignore him…we push on.

Please understand, I have 3 kids and they WILL AND HAVE thrown terrible temper tantrums, but can we take the kids to the room for a nap! I think he needs one!!!!

Rant over…

Next we headed over to Pirates.

LONG LINE!!! DIDN’T CARE!

We waited in the cattle line. It was okay. We had lots of time to stand around and talk.

We all liked the rides even though I was the only one in the family that has ever watched the movies…Big Boy has watched a little with me…he wants to watch them all now.


It was about time for the afternoon parade, so we decided to find a spot to line up. While the family grabbed some snacks, I ran to get FP for Splash Mountain.

When I got around there, I saw that Big Thunder Mountain was broke down and the FP for Splash Mtn was like 9:00! I had a theory that I would hope to work.

Thunderstorms had been looming all day. I knew there was a good possibility there were going to be thunderstorms, if so, no lines afterwards because everyone would leave! I got the BTM FP instead. Because when the rain stopped, everyone would come back and the line might be long by the time we got off SM…lord I hope I was right!

Ewwww. I can't believe that kid spit on you. I hate spitting. I thought it was bad when I was getting splashed with water on Pirates by two boys. I was wrong. That is gross. I can't believe the mom didn't do anything.

I hope your plan for Splash worked! It sounds like a good idea in theory to me!
