"There's a 104 days of summer vacation..." updated 12/16 page 13!!

I love the outfits! Did you make the purse?

It's so awesome that you got pulled up to the front of IASW. Isn't it weird how it seems like they just know sometimes?

I can understand about you getting mad at everyone for leaving you. I hope later in the week, they start to listen to you and that you get to ride with your kids!

Thanks! I made covers for her bag for everyday. She wanted to carry her own bag and I went to too much trouble making matching outfits for her bag to clash!:lmao:

you got me over here crying. I am such a sap. So sweet that Moonk just wanted to see the princesses. I can't wait till we go!

Sorry Peepaw didn't get to do the whole flag thing. I thought you had to sign up that day, not in advance! Maybe on your next visit!

Sorry to say, he said this is the LAST time he will ever go to WDW! And yes I was tild you could not sign up until the day of, who knows?

Great trip report !!

This IS a "Small World". We also live in Salisbury, NC.
My DH is a huge Tony Stewart fan. DD and I love Kasey Khane too.

Can't wait to read more.

Michelle

It is a small world. We actually live in the county between Granite Quarry and Rockwell, but we have a Salisbury address...but the kids go to GQ Elem.

Nice to see you stopped at Pinocchio's for lunch, it's a must for DBF as he always went there as a kid! :thumbsup2

~Beka~

I remeber eating there when I was little, I like being able to se IASW.

I'm a little behind on reading your TR, but this made me laugh! I did the same thing to DD when she was only 2 1/2! What was I thinking? Oops, nevermind that giant ALIEN!! :) She came out of the ride fine, just repeating "too scary" over and over. Oops. I'll have to start saving now for her therapy.

:rotfl: me and you both!

Hi, I have just started reading your trip report and wanted to sub since I can't finish reading it all the way right now. It is great!!! Just a side note, we are from Gastonia and will be driving down on Sept 12 straight through.

I used to have a friend that lived in Gastonia YEARS ago, so I've been there a time or two. We drove straight thru coming back and it was not bad at all. DH acted like it would take forever before we ever went. Where he is from in Ohio it is 10 hours. We have driven that PLENTY of times straight, so I'm not sure why he thought driving to WDW would be bad?:confused3

Glad to have you on board!

:magnify: I see all you lurkers out there! Come on...drop me a line. I like hearing from everybody!

Thanks for the update...loved it. Don't worry about the towel animals at POP...i stayed there 3 years and never got one (and we tip well too!). However, we switch to AKL and there are towel animals galore...maybe that's what the price increase is for :lmao:

Gotta ask about your DD's bag. Did you make it? What pattern did you use?

Funny! We are going for POR next year, I think...so maybe we can get some animal towel love there!

I just made covers to go over a bag I bought at Wal-Mart. I just measured the bag. Then I put velcro on the bag and on the inside of the linners. Looking back and for the future, I will either use snaps or buttons. The velcro was quick, but it came off of the fabric one day after a wet ride.

Ok, so I decided to join you on your trip report...LOL

I will think of you as I am driving over the bridge in 2 weeks, have to take DS to Johnson and Wales for orientation. I will wave from the interstate...

Love your TR!!!

Yipee! Got you to come over did I? Was it all the talk of KK? And yes...I got the sweet tea too!

I will be no where near that bridge I promise you! Hope all goes well at orintation! How exciting for him!

Loved the update. It is nice to have family on the trip- if they help and don't hog all the rides with the kids. It was a hard balance on our trip too.

You had me in tears too. It is great when the kids just let the magic overwhelm them.

They finally starting getting the hint. I didn't really say anything, but they got the hint!

I love that they were taken in by Disney! Me too!:goodvibes

Just subscribing. I'm enjoying the TR so far. Can't wait for more!

Here is a little note that is important to today. DH never really was too excited about Disney. He said from the onset we would not be back for at least another 5 years.

I have always loved Epcot! It is my favorite of all of the parks!

Moonk and I had looked forward to seeing the world and visiting all of the different countries.

Big Boy and Bits were excited to see the big ball!

So we got up, not too early, but by 7:00.

Everyone, except Moonk, had some breakfast.

Okay, side note here…has anyone else rented those dang refrigerators at POP? I could never get the temp adjusted just right that we didn’t have ice chocolate milk and frozen apple juice. Which I have to say, if you are hot after the parks…that is some good stuff! But in the morning…shocking to the system.

Sooooo…Moonk decided no milk shake for breakfast and only nibbled on her pop tart. I stuck food in my bag for her.

We met my parents at the buses and we were off. We actually arrived earlier than I thought we would. The park had not been open that long. We of course had to check out the facilities upon arrival…they seemed up to par…

The line at the ball was short, so we jumped in line…

And we waited….

Didn’t move….

Waited some more….

Then a CM came out to inform us the ball was broke. :headache: She invited us all to stay in line (not!).

We left there and headed out for Nemo.

From off in the distance the kids heard their friends calling, so they answered them.

Mine…Mine…Mine…Mine…This went on for a few minutes.

We walked thru the mile long cue to load into our clamshells. There was nobody there…creepy really!

The kids loved it. We got off and looked around a bit.

Then it was time to talk with Crush.

Big Boy had waited MONTHS for this! HE had his question ready. I explained to him that not everyone gets picked, he said no problem.

We went in, the three most beautiful children at Epcot that day went and sat up front. (They are mine, so of course they were beautiful!)

They sat patiently waiting and watching and laughing…then the show was over…

Oh no! I got to Big Boy and there they were…the tears.

“Mommy! I had a great question for Crush!”

“I know baby. Maybe next time. Remember, there were a lot of kids in there and he couldn’t talk to everybody.”

“Okay” sniffle, sniffle…

Oh! His question…”Crush, are you married?” Cute Huh?

So we came out for a picture. Where we waited for this one mom to pose her kids 15 gazillion times! Yelling at her kids the ENTIRE time!!! I mean…this ain’t portrait time! Get on with it!

P6170004-1.jpg

We got our quick pics, I collected everyone’s tickets and ran ahead to Soarin’…and I do mean ran! Then only to get caught off by a woman trying to go to the same place.

Next, I meet the family downstairs for The Land…I love this ride…I love to garden…don’t do it well…I just love to try!

I mean, look at those veggies!

We got off of there and it was yet again time for a potty break. I said let’s head back to the ball and see if it is working. It was! LONG LINE!!! Oh well…by now, Moonk was STARVING!!! We grabbed her a Coke. She needed a sugar boost. We don’t usually give our kids too much soda…but WDW calls for that extra energy sugar and caffeine Coke can offer. :drinking1 I offered up the stowed away granola bar and she took to it like a starved lion cub. She felt much better.

My artistic piture of the ball.

The line moved pretty fast. Big boy started to get his worry on. He saw that the ramp went INTO the ball…where did he think the ride was?

I asked him to ride with me. He thought that to be a good choice. Plus Moonk wanted to be with Daddy. Bits was nice and small so he rode with Memaw and Pepaw.

We got inside to the walkway of death and loaded up. Big Boy hunkered over near me. We were off. I have to say, I don’t remember the incline being so steep, I know it was, but even I got a little concerned. Not sure why, just did.

We talked the whole ride, Big Boy REALLY enjoyed it.

When we got off, he wanted to go right back on!

We went and emailed our pictures to ourselves. Don’t laugh at mine! I’m not sure what I was doing! Maybe worried…again, don’t know where Big Boy gets it from?

Yay! An update! I can't believe the mother yelling at her kids when taking pics. I don't have children, but I can't stand seeing a mother (or father) yelling at the top of her lungs at children in stores, etc. It just doesn't seem necessary. Anyways, nice update and I loved the artistic pic!:thumbsup2

It was crazy...i mean you can tell by our picture that the sun was in their eyes, so the kids didn't really want to look up...who can blame them. But she kept yelling, and posing them...she even got in front of the photopass guy a time or two!

Another fun update! I might have to CASE your bag idea...I love it

Wow!:faint: You want to CASE me??!!! I am amazed I ever came up with something somebody would want to CASE! Thanks! CASE away!!!!!

It's such a great idea...you should post it over on the thread. I have lots of leftover fabric from making DD's customs...what a great idea to make bag covers and have her have a matching bag!!!

I love the Epcot outfits!

That was a cute question for Crush. Hopefully, he'll get to ask it soon.

I hate it when people try to take 50 shots when there are other people waiting to take a picture!:headache:

Thanks!

I really wish he had been able to talk to him...but maybe next time?

I mean really...there is a place where EVERYBODY wants to take a picture...take it and MOVE!

Cute update! Poor little one didn't get to talk to crush. Hopefully you'll go back before 5 yrs.

Cute outfits of course:cool1:

Morning Cherie! Have no internet at home so will be MIA unless at library or a friends for a few days!!

Have I been lurking??? I can't find my last post and I know I read the installment....if so, I apologize! I just love your kiddos...they are just adorable! I love the Land ride too! I haven't been on the Golf Ball since I was in college but I hope to go someday soonerish! :thumbsup2 Sorry your little one didn't get picked by Crush...what a great question too!

I finally got to catch up on your TR. I took notes!

I'm sorry your dad couldn't be veteran of the day. You are so sweet for trying to do that for him!

Thanks for the sewing machine shot!! Love the kid's outfits!

Since you have very good reasons, I understand why you like IASW. How cool that you got picked to go up to the front of the line!!

The carousel was closed when we were there in May. :sad2:

Was there any smoochin' going on in that TTA ride? ;)

Wow! I've never seen Buzz in such good form! Cool pictures!

Your poor back after the race cars!

I love your sappiness over Moonks princess wish!

Funny how everyone has a picture inside the shark's mouth!

I'm sure the mom who posed her kids for a gazillion pictures didn't get a better shot than you did! Your kids are so cute!

Cute spaceship earth picture!

Could I possibly use any more exclamation points?!
