Trail's End was amazing. They had a bowl of tomatoes for display at breakfast. They were beautiful ... looked with Jersey tomatoes. Anyway, we were going to stop on way home to buy some tomatoes. Jeanne and Bob wanted open faced cheese sandwiches with tomatoes on them. I asked the CM behind the counter if they sold the tomatoes. He went in the back and asked and came out and said how many do you want. I said three. He came back with three beautiful tomatoes and I asked him if he wanted me to pay separate for them or could he put them on our buffet bill. He said, "no charge". We all just stared at each other and I jumped up and gave him a hug. We had them last night and they were the best tomatoes we've had since we moved to Florida.
I've heard such good things about Trail's End. I want to stay at the Cabins one trip. Having a hard time convincing my husband it will be fun.

We had a fabulous dinner at BOG in January. I was so happy I got a reservation for our next trip. Which is in 30 days!

We tried Trails End for the first time last year, loved the dinner. Want to try breakfast, but we are rope drop people, and just don't want to get up that early, lol. We do maybe 1 breakfast per trip, usually leaving day.

popping in to this thread when I can. Sounds like you are having a wonderful visit with the girls teena! Love the tomato story!

We have moved on from Disneyland and we are now in Oahu. I have mini update but not many pictures in my hijinks trip report. Yesterday we visited pearl harbor and this morning at 7 we will hike diamond head.

Have a fantastic day everyone.

We ate a last minute, unplanned dinner at The Wave last month and it ended up being everyone's (including the kids!) favorite restaurant of the trip. (There were 9 of us, btw). I highly recommend it!

We just "jumped the Ohana ship" last night (canceled ADR for Sept 9th) and booked for same day/time at The Wave. I'm glad to hear you liked it! Every positive comment helps me get more excited about it. What were the favorite things your party ordered?
I was so looking fwd to Ohana bc of the great reviews (in the past) from family/friends and on DISboards. But from the most recent reviews it seems that our 1st impression would not be a good one if we visited this year. Since The Wave is another we had on our list to try, doing that this trip and holding off until (hopefully) things at Ohana get FIXED to try it there.

We have a very good dinner at the Wave last December. It was one of those last minute decisions to eat there and it was one of the best meals of the trip. I had the pork tenderloin and DH had the beef tenderloin.

Checked in at 8:30 this morning! Room wasn't ready and still isn't as of 12:45. Cm said they have a bunch of check Ins today. Based on the rack rate rooms I looked at yesterday it looks like club level is quite full this weekend! The lounge was good for breakfast. It has the same things as we had at the csr lounge last week with the added eggs, oatmeal, juices and bottles water requests. I took the boat to dhs to do some shopping this morning and didn't wait more than 5 mins both ways! It was quite relaxing. I'm at the pool now. Just had a lobster roll sandwich delivered and enjoying the sun! The only negative is that they aren't technically letting guests into the fitness center bathroom to change anymore. They let me since I was by myself but they said ppl were abusing it. I said that's not very accommodating for ppl with late flights who want to shower and be out of their room at 11. Cm said it depends on who's at the desk to let them in. If you entered through the gym I'm not sure they'd even notice. I did say there's no other shower options and to that they said shower before you have to be out of your room...I'll update later on the room!

:thumbsup2 Thanks! For us picking ADRs is a big deal and I'm always afraid of being disappointed when we are going to try a new place. The beef tenderloin appealed to DH when we looked over the current menu.

Wow that sounds awesome!! Did you get Lionel Richie's autograph??, because that's his room! I'll bet the room you are in is built like a Brick House! Does he sing to the cleaning Lady? Perhaps he only performs his concerts during the Night Shift... Well you better Sail On and take it Easy down at the pool. I'd recommend that you Party All Night Long but the rest of the Commodores may not know that song...

Don't forget to go to Dukes while you are on Oahu :thumbsup2

We have just returned from our 18 night stay at the Yacht Club and have to say we loved it and it's now our favourite resort ( previously stayed POR and the
Poly).

We booked a garden view room but were upgraded to water view, room 3007 at the far end of the resort. Unfortunately we had to move rooms half way through our stay due to a problem with the air conditioning unit. We were moved to 3017. The guy who dealt with us on the phone about the room move could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Both rooms were great, I will post room views after I sort out our photos.

Disney transport was great, maximum time we waited on a bus over the whole trip was 15 minutes. Taxis were readily available. Buses to and from the dreaded DTD were ok although we did avoid late nights there and the fact there is only one stop there at the moment helps, the buses for DTD and the really early bus to MK made stops at the boardwalk and for DTD ( the swan and dolphin). It was fantastic being able to walk to and from Epcot and the studios. We also walked to Fantasia golf.

In terms of food we had ddp so ate in a few local places. The flying fish was our favourite. Cape may dinner was great, our first time eating crabs legs, my 6 year old loved them... Cape may breakfast was also good as was the breakfast buffet at Captains Grill. We ate at the Yachtsman last year and were not wowed so we didn't bother this year.

Quick service, Hurricane Hannah's was fine. Beach club marketplace flatbreads were good. We felt that Captain Cooks had better options last year but it was all still good, filling the mugs was a bit of a trek though. Boardwalk pizza was good, 2 quick service credits for a whole pizza, 2 desserts and 2 drinks and boardwalk bakery was great.

The pool was great, ds loved the sand bottom bit, the little slide ( didn't do the big one) and the volleyball. We also had one night in the quiet pool where it was just us. We had no problems piggies claiming all the loungers!

Overall a truly magical trip after a stressful year ( just finished a post graduate qualification to become a teacher). Totally spoiled now and not sure I would be keen to stay elsewhere, other than maybe the beach club or boardwalk. Think we will have a year off Disney and maybe return 2016 for 3 weeks!

Thanks for all the help and advice on here if totally added to the magic!

Aloha Dee. Have a great time. Can't wait to hear what you thought of the climb to the top of Diamond Head.

Hi~

We're seriously considering the Beach Club for our 2015 trip and since it would be our first stay there I'm trying to learn all I can about the resort. Definitely been reading this thread!!
I would love to have a full balcony and a daybed so I'll be sure and request that when we make our reservation.
Just wondering if all the rooms on the 5th floor are Club Level rooms.

Thanks everyone for the great info!!:thumbsup2
