Sharing my photo of the Themis launch today about a Delta 2 rocket, I'm pretty happy with it as it was my first attempt at a launch and it was with my point and shoot.

Due to the traffic I stuck around and about 8pm tonight I set up the tripod and opened up the shutter for a 32 second shot of the pier. I really like how it turned out.

Feedback welcomed. :thumbsup2

Beautiful shots! My DH is asking me "what equipment are you using?" if you don't mind sharing, please? :goodvibes

Nothing special, I was really surprised I was able to get a decent photo. I'm using a Kodak Z760 we purchased back in 2005 along with a tripod to avoid blur. No special lens or anything. The Kodak is a Point and Shoot, basic model was about $170-$180.

Wow! DH is super impressed- He says maybe there is hope for us (well, me, really) and my little PnS camera, lol! :thumbsup2

I love the first one! Great job! I might just rotate it slightly to correct the tilted horizon.

Beautiful! I like the pier picture especially, I would frame it and show it off if I were you. Great to see that awesome pictures can indeed be had with a P&S camera. :thumbsup2

Your launch photo came out really good! Aren't you glad you delayed your WDW trip by a day to get that photo? :)

I really like the pier photo too. There really are only a very small number of photos that absolutely require a SLR, a P&S and a good eye is usually all we need.

Very nice!
and thanks for sharing...
