Alright folks, I'm back with another rant about movie theaters. This time, I went to see the new POTC movie, and it was good. I went on Friday when it opened, so, naturally, everyone +2 was there to see the movie. So, we're in the lobby for God-Knows-How-Long in a line, and finally the announcer announces that the movie is seating. So, what happens? The line moves slowly enough as it is, but then people not in the line begin to charge the entrance in a Storm the Gates mentality. This causes the line to dissolve, and it turns into chaos to try and get in. Seriously, that's all I have to rant about this time, the line fiasco.

This is what I don't get: how do you not understand how a line works, especially when the end of said line is clearly visible? You get in line, you sit there, you wait your turn to get in. It's not that hard. I think I learned how lines work before Kindergarten, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of you did as well. So, what's so complicated about this line? It's no different than any other line, and yet it turned into a mosh pit the second anyone said that they were seating for the movie. It ended up that we had to force our way through the people just casually walking themselves way up in the line to get where we were. I was disgusting to watch, and even more disgusting to have to deal with.

On December 3, 1979 outside the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio eleven people were killed and dozens were injured in a crush of people trying to get into the arena. Fans were waiting outside for a Who concert scheduled to take place that night.

Thousands of fans (with first-come, first-served festival seating tickets) rished towards the locked doors when they mistook the band's sound check for the concert having started. People were trampled and crushed before the doors were unlocked. The Who went on to play that night, unaware of the tragedy outside.

I believe in waiting in line... I remember back in the days of open seating concerts and I remember hearing about the above event...

SOme people are idiots, void of all social skills.

You reserve tickets on the interblorg and speaking of reservations I have to reserve Halo 3 about nowish so I can get it by November :).

Gee, now i know how lucky i am. I live in like practically the ghetto. :lmao:

We have TWO movie theaters in our whole town.

one behind a pathmark, and the other is a ONE ROOM movie theater that shows only movie at a time.

LOL we never have crowds..

Don't you know that their time is more valuable than yours? These are the same ppl who leave their cell phones on in the theatre, in Church and at restaurants and how feel it necessary to impose their conversations upon us whether we want to hear them or not. They drive down the shoulder to cut in line in front of you. You are scum and they are self important. Somehow the world owes them something

What is so hard really about lines? They work as: --------
Not as:
-= ---
= - - -- - =
===--
Aren't I a wonderful artist?
