Jack and Avery tell Daniel that Phyllis wouldn't want to leave GC. Daniel reminds Avery that she doesn't have a close relationship with his mom. Nick walks up with his 2 cents and Daniel shuts him DOWN: "YOU are no longer my mothers husband. So you don't get to speak for her anymore. And since your not Summers father, you need to turn around, hit that door and keep going!" IT WAS AWESOME! Nick and Daniel leave to talk alone.
Alone, Nick tells Daniel why he lied about Summers paternity. He brings up Cassie and he even asks Daniel what would he do if something like that happened to Lucy. Daniel isn't buying his act. Telling him that he will never understand how he could use Cassie's death to justify what he did. Daniel lashes out at Nick. Yelling at him for taking another mans child.
Outside Phyllis room, Avery tells Jack and Summer that she will take Daniel to court over what's best for Phyllis.
Sharon is at home still trying to get updates on Phyllis. Cassie comes to her. Cassie is trying to talk her into telling Nick. Summer realizes that if Nick finds out the truth she will loose everything. Sharon is afraid to even go to reach out to Nick because she knows he will sense in her voice that something is wrong.
Paul Michael Lauren and Kevin are at the police station. Still no word on Carmine but Paul has his officers searching for him. Michael tells him that the ADA is dropping the charges and he is free to go. The only evidence was a surveillance tape showing Michael pointing the gun at carmine has mysteriously disappeared! All eyes are on Kevin. Kevin clearly had something to do with the missing footage and Paul knows it. Fen comes in and hugs his dad. He tells them that he's been in touch with his drug counselor, he then tells them that he wants to go to the hospital to check on Summer.
Cane is now with Lily at CL. Lily is upset about the blog. Hilary barges in demanding answers to the latest GC Buzz article. Hilary is angry and wants to defend the Ashby's. Cane and Lily thank her for her support. After Hilary leaves, Cane and Lily talk about the problems in their marriage, and the two agree to not let the blogger destroy their happy home. They kiss and make up as Hilary looks on.
Kevin goes to the hospital to see Daniel and Phyllis. Kevin asks him if he's doing this because he feels guilty for leaving town. Daniel says yes, but it's time he stepped up, he wants to help his mom. He believes the recovery center would be best for her.
Jack is outside Phyllis room telling Summer that he will do whatever he can to keep Phyllis in GC. Fen walks in and hugs Summer. They catch up. He actually gives her some good advice about how to deal with her moms condition. Summer hugs Fen and thanks him being there for her and walks away. Fens phone chimes. It's another text message about his moms sex fling! A nurse walks away and he sees some pills on her cart.
Back at Nicks, Avery and Nick discuss Daniel. Avery is insisting she establish her legal rights for Phyllis. Nick is trying to change her mind. Telling her that they should come together for Phyllis' sake.
The Baldwins are now home. Michael and Lauren discuss their situation. They have sex. Afterwards, we see carmine looking at his pics of Lauren. He's in a motel room he says: "I'll never let you go"
Jack begs Daniel to reconsider. Daniel is done debating. His mind is made up. Jack is still determined to change his mind.
Summer goes to Nick asking him for help.
