We do pool activities mid-afternoon, and by then, seats become available. We prioritize beach, off-site activities, or character greets in the morning and early afternoon.

Great plan, we have done similar and it worked well for us.

The towel folding signal is only done once the pool opens - it’s akin to having your tire chalked by a public parking attendant. Next time they come by if the fold is undisturbed you’ve lost the chairs.

This is actually a good tip for people who might not know about the signal. When you're holding your chair with your towel, DO NOT fold it neatly and put it through the bar at the top of the chair. You're essentially marking yourself as someone who hasn't been using the chair actively. Leave it loose and kind of clumpy.

I’ve just started sleeping on the pool deck. As it frees up bed space for others, then I get the choice of chairs I want. Yes the pressure washing over night gets me a little wet, but that counts as my shower for that day. So it’s a win-win-win.

Pro move, I was just gonna take the lounger up with me to the room and bring it down with me in the morning, then I can place it where I want.

we were this past week and chairs did become more readily available as the day progressed. it didn't seem people held them for the full day. we found two somewhat early on and then all of the chairs around us started opening up so it helped with our party of 6.

We spent five days at Aulani in late September / early October and didn't have any major issues finding a single pool chair to put all our "stuff" on around the pools. There were normally numerous options for the chairs at the beach.
