Ugh!!! I hope they don't kill off Cane. I like his his character. Sure, his character was better in the beginning when he started, but I had hopes that he would redeem the character soon. Besides, he IS easy on the eyes too;)

unless 1 of 2 things happened

1 being that Cain and Blake set it up (al la Chance) that he be "shot" so that he can finally leave his family (doubfult) OR

2 the hospital brings him back from the dead (this is a soap after all

then unfortunately Cain is infact dead. he just died in Lily's arms.

blood everywhere and him caughing it up then nothing - still and quiet, except lily and jill's crying

Yep it appears that Cane is "dead" but with this show its hard to tell if its real. Plus Phillip returns for the funeral. I'm curious to see what he has to say about his mom's new hubby.

Sean Young (Meggie) will be back February 16th! I'm not clear on the details yet, but I do know that Nikki & Deacon will be closer by Valentines day and Victor proposes to Diane on Valentines day!

Is Jack actually working with Victor or against him? Didn't they show a scene the other day with Jack telling Victor they could bust Adam?

I can't keep this straight.

Didn't an early spoiler for upcoming during sweeps say something about Lily and Cane taking a dramatic chance on their future.....

I kind of hope so....I hope he doesn't die.

* Jill, Colin and Lily gather around Cane telling him to hang on. Colin applies pressure to the wound but it is too late, Cane has lost a lot of blood and dies.
* Malcolm is in a pissed off mood, he learns of Cane's death and goes to the church. Neil has to tell him to cool off, that this isn't the place or time to do this
* Jill and Colin return home, Katherine, Billy and Murphy are shocked by the news of Cane's murder. Blake is dead too, they assume his fall broke his neck
* Neil comforts Lily who says Cane saved her life and protected their kids from being shot by Blake. Lily worries her kids won't remember their father
* Katherine takes notice and is suspicious by how much Colin is affected by Cane's death, especially since Cane hated his guts. Murphy wonders the same
* Billy is there for Lily when she decides to talk to the cops. She wants people to know Cane was not a criminal, that he was a good guy who protected his family
* Sophia is hurt when Malcolm implies she is to blame for what happened, that she should have been honest and not cover for Cane. He's basically a jerk!
* Colin goes to ID the body when Lily refuses to go, he tells Cane how sorry he is and shows remorse for both his children ending up murdered because of him
* Lily has a change of heart and decides to go see Cane after all at the morgue, its hard for her to say goodbye while Colin is shown looking at Blake's dead body

Next - Chloe is a wreck; Ronan collapses; Lily says she was wrong

It sounds like he is, but I don't want him to be!:sad1: I don't think Phillip knows anything about Cane's crime family, does he?

gross:sick: Really hate Meggie.

Oh man, that was sad. I liked Cane before they destroyed him. :(

So did anyone see when Olivia talks with Bill (Brad Carlton) on B&B. He says "are you sure we haven't met, you somehow look familiar to me". :rotfl2:

Didn't they have a relationship briefly on Y&R? If not, they absolutely knew each other. I love when they have cross overs and previous characters interact! I didn't see when Victoria (Katie) first saw Olivia though. Oh and then there's Donna but I can't remember her Y&R character name?

I don't think they slept together, but they did get close, and kissed if I remember correctly. He was married to Ashley, her best friend, at the time.

December Phillip also lived in Australia. He knew about Cane's past. He was always telling Cane to not return to Australia because "they" were looking for him. So I'm thinking Phillip knows something.

Isn't this just the most precious pic? Little Michael is 9 months old!

ok - the writers did it again and they are PI$$ING ME OFF.

a paramedic CAN NOT - that's NOT pronounce someone dead at the scene and walk away.

THEY MUST TRANSPORT THEM TO THE HOSPITAL where they are pronounced DOA by a doctor.

this is the second time in less then a year they pulled this crap.

can they at least make it somewhat believable???????

Maybe they are not really paramedics? Same as when Chance was suppose to have been dead. Maybe Cane and Blake went to Christina about what is really going on ...not like Cane did not turn them in before....and Blake came to really like Lily and the babies and so maybe they worked this out, to protect Lilly and the babies.

They could be sent into protected custody.....but this time Lily will not know...no one can know. This way they can always bring them back if they need to.

Its also very easy to fake blood coming from the mouth. I dont think at this point either of them are really dead.

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Billy Miller (Billy) is moonlighting on the Season 2 premiere of JUSTIFIED! In an episode titled "The Moonshine War," Miller plays a sexual predator -- a departure from his regular gig on Y&R, but a role that harkens back to his bad-boy days as Richie on ALL MY CHILDREN. Look for Miller's character to be pursued on-screen by U.S. Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens, played by series star Timothy Olyphant.

"Y&R was great about working with my schedule so I could do this," Miller tells Soaps In Depth, adding that he had concerns about his scene's subject matter when it came to one particular co-star. "I wanted to make sure the little girl I worked with felt comfortable [with the material], but she was great. A real pro."

The soap's executive producer and headwriter, Maria Arena Bell, says that coordinating schedules to allow Y&R's actors to do the occasional guest spot is a win-win for both sides. "We try to make it work," reports Bell. "We're much better off keeping our cast happy and allowing them to be able to take on projects that they really want to do and have them still remain with the show."

Miller's JUSTIFIED guest spot airs on Wednesday, February 16, at 10 p.m. EST on F/X.

Next week Jack and Phyllis suggest to Adam and Sharon that they go to Hawaii and gather evidence that Victor was behind this whole situation. Adam and Sharon are suspicious of their motives so Jack and Phyllis go to Hawaii. They discover clues that verify Victor was working with Skye to fake her death in GC. Meanwhile Adam plans false evidence in an effort to help Sharon. In a surprise move Sharon asks Nick for help to prove his father's crimes. Nick is hesitant but he calls the staff in Colorado where Victor claimed he had been staying when it was suspected he was in Hawaii and finds out Victor had never been there.

One of the writers said that Victor's behavior has opened Sharon's eyes to the kind of man he was. The writer said that Sharon's relationship with Adam has turned Victor against her completely and that viewers should not expect him to help Sharon. He has washed his hands of her and thinks she should pay for being with Adam.

I don't, for a second, believe Cane is dead. I think he's gone to llive with Chance.

Why Y&R's Cane Had to Die

Last week, Cane was gunned down, and this week, the news of his death sends shockwaves through Genoa City. "This story is going to be huge," says an insider. "There's always so much built-in drama when a young hero and family man like Cane is killed."

But why get rid of a character who was so popular with the audience? "That's exactly the reason," notes a source. "When you have someone so beloved by the fans, it resonates even deeper. His death will be felt for a long time to come. Think about how this will affect Lily, Jill and Kay. It's a very horrible thing to process."

Reportedly, the decision to take Cane off the canvas led to intense discussion among the writers for weeks. "Everyone truly loves Daniel Goddard (Cane) and they didn't want to see him go," says a backstager. "But in the end, the lure to tell such an intense story won out, and we'll really miss Daniel."

Since Cane was created by the previous writing regime as the real Phillip Chancellor III, there were whispers that current head scribe Maria Arena Bell was getting rid of the character in order to sweep away the vestiges of that previous story, which had already been drastically changed when Cane was exposed as a fraud and Phillip was still alive. "That is not the case," declares a source. "Bringing back Phillip was just a great way to play into the show's history and also to bring back Nina. Maria loved Cane and Lily's love story and thought they were the quintessential soap couple."

Surprisingly, killing off Cane doesn't spell the end of his father's presence in Genoa City, so Y&R plans to keep Colin's portrayer, Tristian Rogers, around. Since Cane didn't tell anyone of his connection to Colin, the Aussie crime lord is free of suspicion -- for now. "At the same time, Colin is going to have to deal with his grief in silence," points out a set-sider. "His son is now dead, but he can'e share that with anyone. There's going to be really good stuff coming up with Colin and Jill."

Of course, there's always the possibility that Cane is still alive. After all, Katherine, Skye and Chance made miraculous resurrections. Winks an actor, "I don't think they would ever get tired of doing that story."

Comings &Goings

Walter Fauntlroy (Nate Hastings, Jr.) -- The grown-up son of Olivia Barber Winters (Tonya Lee Williams) and the late Nathan Hastings, who died in 1996, debuts on February 7, 2011.

Thom Bierdz (Phillip Chancellor III) -- The actor will return to Genoa City on February 9, 2011.

Y&R's Bell -- Will She Stay or Go? Even Lauralee Bell (Christine) is surprised that her latest gig on Y&R (which started on January 13, 2011) has lasted this long. "I didn't expect to get [air] dates in February, so it's much more than I expected, but I'm thrilled," smiles the actress. "Usually, Maria [Arena Bell, executive producer/head writer] asks, 'Are you free for another couple of days?' As soon as I hear it's with Nina, Paul and Ronan, I go, 'Okay.' I've been shooting with another project, so we're having to talk back and forth, but as long as we can make this work, it's all good. I get very nice letters from fans, but I fell that for every person wh osays they love that I'm back, there's someone going, 'Ugh! Goody two-shoes is back.'"

Even though Christine has been successfully integrated into Genoa City again, Bell isn't ready to sign on the dotted line. "There's a couple of things that I'm pushing forward, so I need to be open for other things right now and after I get through that, we'll see. There's a two-and-a-half week break because I needed to take care of things, but come March and April, I'm fully open to discuss more dates. I love being here."

Record This -- You Old Dog

On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, Adam is up to his old tricks. "Adam sees himself as an army of one and he has to fight all his battles that way," says portrayer Michael Muhney. "You may catch him off balance, but you're not going to catch him off-guard."

Editor's Choice -- Let's Make a Deal

Y&R's Daisy skipping town, leaving her newborn behind, kicked off a compelling, tautly timed tale. Baby stories on soaps can be cliche (who's the daddy ... yawn), but two wild cards -- crazy Daisy and the tightly wound Primrose -- added edgy unpredictability to the proceedings.

Michael Graziadei, whose Daniel was woefully underused for the better part of 2010, has finally been thrust onto the front burner. After being bludgeoned by Daisy, Daniel emerged from a coma unable to remember that he helped deliver his child. Graziadei showed his alter ego's struggle to fill in the blanks as he lay in his hospital bed and tried to will memories of that fateful night to come back.

Meanwhile, in a well-plotted tie-in, Victoria sank further into a depression because she can't bear any more children, pushing her devoted hubby, Billy, to meet with Primrose, an off-kilter, black-market baby broker. Prim (who, in a clever connection, turned out to be the neice of Nina's baby-stealer, Rose DeVille) was all business as she outlined exactly what it would take for him to get a baby from her. Even though Billy's work in tabloid journalism had thickened his skin where legalities and ethics are concerned, he was uneasy. "The adoptive couples we work with are much like you and your wife, take-charge people who are ready to love a baby now, who don't want to waste time dealing with red tape," Priim explained with all the warmth of an infomercial.

Feeling overwhelmed, Billy needed more time to think, but the pace didn't lag. The next morning he demanded that Prim produce the baby before he forked over her asking price of $2 million. Upon seeing the goods, Billy was instantly hooked, realizing just how achingly close he was to fulfilling Victori'a dream. When Billy pressed his nose against the baby's head and inhaled that intoxicating scent, it was obvious his mind was made up. "I'll call you when the money's ready," he quietly affirmed. "You don't let anybody else near her ... this is our baby."

Later, as Daniel recalled hazy visions of a wailing Daisy (would he be able to save his daughter in time?), Billy wired the big bucks to Prim and a deal was struck. He joyfully returned home and presented the baby to his blindsided bride. As she tried to process what had transpired, Billy quietly announced, "It's a girl."

Billy's actions were reckless and misguided, yet utterly in character for someone so impulsive and in love. But with imminent threats looming (Daniel's memory returning, the fact that Daisy and Prim are still out there), we know that the other shoe is precariously proised to drop ...
