Mothy mothy Ya Ya's.

Well ladies (and bothers) Off to bed for me. My throat is sooo sore, it feels like it's on fire. My doctor closed early for the weather, the urgent care walk in clinic up the street closed for the weather, and I don't think I needed to be in an ER. I took an Advil (800mg) a few hours ago, and I think it is helping a little. Plus I just did my Nana's patented gargling with warm salt water. Blech, but it seemed to help a little.

Warm salt water..bleech patooey! :( I like Advil with a chocolate chaser. (no, I guess advil doesn't require a chaser...hmmm...) Feel better soon Deb.:)

Pam as much as I'd like to wait around AAAAALLLL night for you, trading clever zingers etc etc...I gots ta go. Smoochies!!

Feel better Deb.............and as much as I like chocolate, that's not what to have with a sore throat :(.....it actually makes it worse.
Make sure your salt water is warm. Feels so much better.

Hi Jeannie! You still around.

Okay...my JM contribution.............keep in mind, I have never seen it and don't know anything at all about it :teeth:

This was just someone's rumor..........he picked someone (I don't know names.....not Zora, another... possibly Sarah???).
When she found out he had no money, she walked out on him :)
So....then he went to Zora which is who he really liked anyway (sounds like a soap opera) and she didn't care that he had no money...happy ending........BUT then he really did have money :teeth:

Okay....sounds like that's NOT how it actually went though.

No gross eating on Fear Factor tonight....just being buried alive under 500 pounds of earth worms :teeth: Sorry...I love that show. People are so interesting to watch. ;)

 Hi Kim. Where you been?
Feeling any better?

I always knew you were a brand name girl ;)

Not into Joe Millionaire actually, more for classic Mole

Actually, the other DVD guy is a vampire and one is a werewolf and on the Angel set a half demon with a wicked accent

Morning!!

Well, it seems the boys have school today. They were really hoping for a snow day.

I am so glad that Zora got picked! :bounce: When I saw her packing, and that white car in the front of the castle, I thought for sure she was leaving. The look on Sarah's face was priceless. And the look on Evan & Zora's face when Paul presented the check was so sweet. :)
Now, don't forget to watch next week to see the interview with the 2 of them. :teeth:

Nancy, I like Fear Factor, too. My boys love it too. Actually, they watched it while we watched JM! :teeth:

Hi Kimmy!!

Deb, hope you feel better soon!

CS, I love Buffy & Angel. HUGE fan!!

Morning Ya Yas!
Nice to see Kim and her "branded one" made an appearance last night!
Glad you all enjoyed JM last night.
Quiet here....kids still sleeping...another snow day...anticipating tomorrow too! Help. Spring...please!

MOrning Jodie and Michele and Sherry!

OH Marilyn....yooohoooo.....you forgot a little dusting yesterday!!! How can I thank you for the recipe if you've got that cupboard of yours full!!!!!

Not much happening here today. Same ol' thing. Although I do get to have a "talk" with one of my GS families. Seems some "stuff" wasn't told to me and it effects my budget!!!!

Good morning, everyone! Email from the boss says the office is closed again today!! YA-HOO!!!! Just wish I had received it last night so I could have slept in.:(

Well, all your talk yesterday convinced me to watch Joe Millionaire last night. I don't think I could have watched all the previous episodes, he is such a dork!! He desperately needs his hair washed and cut, too. But I enjoyed the ending--that Sarah chick was priceless, "Did you think that was important to me?" OMG!!!! The look on your face already gave you away, honey!!! And the conversation she and her friend were having was just soooooo nasty. Showed their true colors, that's for sure.

Michele, I'm so sorry your little one is still feelin' so yukky. Just breaks your heart when ya can't just "kiss it and make it better", doesn't it?

Hi, Kim!! Hope you feel better soon!!!~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Jodie, I'm with you......Bring on SPRING!!!!!! They're predicting near 50 degrees by Friday. Can you say sloppy??!!!!! Sigh........

Debbie, my personal sore throat soother--hot tea with orange juice in it. Sounds strange, but it works for me. I discovered it one time when I ran out of Constant Comment teabags. Found out that putting regular ground cinnamon in tea does NOT feel good on a sore throat.

Hi, to everybody I missed. Gotta go dry my hair--my head is freezing!!

Oh Jennifer....don't ya just LOVE those talks??? What are ya'll doing for Thinking Day?

Sorry your guys have school today Sherry...would they like one of our snow days? I would gladly give them one or two!!:)

Morning Beth! Enjoy your day off!!! Yes I can say sloppy...and I'd rather say sloppy than icy!!!:p Oooo....cinnamon on a sore throat?!?!? hee hee....bet your eyes watered for hours!!!:p
The roads are clogged with accidents here this morning...must be icy patches cause on the news the roads look pretty good. I need to get out today but I will wait out rush hour and give the tow trucks time to clear the roads! Good grief.....

I just can't believe the weather you all are having! I thought that suff stayed up here with us!!!

There is a troop doing a service unit event Jodie. On Thurday night. I'm not sure what they have planned, it's lead by a great leader though so it should be fun. How about you?

So...here's the parent gossip.....seems this family decided not to sell cookies. That is fine, but no one told me. My cookie mom is a good friend of theirs and kept it a secret. Ok, so here's what torques me out of shape.....I called to schedule families for our cookie booth on Sat. THey REFUSE to do it! I'm having a hard time feeling right about all my other families making the extra effort and this family reaping the benefits. (Keep in mind I only have 7 girls so everyone has to work harder to make enough money for us to do things) ANnone with a good suggestion?

Sorry that was so long......

Morning all! I don't have much time for a ketchup since I am at work today, but I had a huge favor of one of you.

I am trying to send Karen the AOL CD today. Well I realized I don't have her address :( So Karen or anyone who knows her address can you please PM it to me so I can get that AOL CD out to her today??? Thanks all :)

PM sent Elaine!

Oh man Jennifer....cookie nightmares! I have a couple of families who object to the cookie sale because the girls them selves get so little of the money. I have talked until I am blue in the face trying to explain to them that most of this money goes to supporting our two local camps....which benefits the girls. Now I do agree that maybe too much goes to National and I SURELY agree that GS puts WAY too many restrictions on how we can earn money. But the fact is when one family takes a stand on a troop level not to support the troop via the sale it causes negative feelings for all. I have never had anyone refuse to participate in a booth sale! What is their gripe ? And with ya'll planning for Savannah EVERYBODY needs to understand the need to make money!!!! I had a meeting with all of my families and explained how much money we needed to raise. I also had a fund for each girl...cookie money she earned herself went into an "account", booth sale money was split evenly by all participating as was any fund raiser we did (yard sale, bake sale etc) All families understood that whatever "little Janie" lacked in her troop fund at trip time would have to be made up "out of pocket" by little Janie's parents! Amazing how little janie found her way to troop fund raisers after that!!! Good luck! I hate this money stuff but it isn't fair for the troop to carry someone who just doens't care to be bothered!!! Let me know how it goes!

I like your suggestion of individual funds Jodie! I structured our budget so that Cookie monies fund our field trips and so this family is essentially going for free. When I presented our budget at the beginning of the year I broke down what I needed each girl to make at our 2 fund raisers. I think I need to tell parents if they don't participate they have to buy their way out (I think I expected $20 per girl for cookies).

I also don't get the booth thing either. Steams me when all I'm asking is an investment of time, not to mention a learning experience for thier daughter!

Thanks for the advice!

Anytime! Us leaders have to look out for eachother!! I forgot to tell ya...those two objecting families of mine? They do make cash donations to the troop for cookie and pnut sales....I don't care where the money comes from as long as they contribute!:p
