Jodie and Jennifer--Ran into that with my troops and even the cub scout pack. Was even worse when I was team treasurer for DD"s select soccer team. Several "well-off" families didn't believe in fundraisers at all and couldn't understand what the big deal was when it came to tournament fees and family travel costs. Yeesh........

I have nothing slated for our Monday meeting (first time all year) I'm considering presenting the idea of planning a big trip to them. I know they will jump on the idea, so I didn't want to tell them it's an option until I was ready to dig in. Might be a good time.

NANCY!!! Ohhhh....thank you for the blue skies this morning!!! Juuust waht I needed! Gorgeous!

Hi Beth! Walls closing in? Time for a Disney movie marathon!!! That's what we plan this evening!!! Bob won't be home until way late tonight and I am sure the kids will miss school again tomorow so I told them we would watch movies until daddy came home!

Jennifer...yeppers! We are planning another trip! My girls decided they like this traveling thing! We tossed around lots of options in the beginning of the year, ruling out Europe until their Senior year! I told them I would take them, but the world has got to be a little more stable and they need a few more trips under their belt before we will attempt that one! Disney World was a close second....totally unaffected by me...really! Of course I was jumping up and down when we tallied the votes and WDW was the winner! Soooo....we are going at the end of their Cadette years....2 more years! They want to fly...still a little disenchanted with the whole train thing! hee! So we have our work (and fun) cut out for us!!! We meet Friday night...and they have their entire Thinking Day project to do! We'll be busy! The theme this year is "Girl Scouting....where can it take you?" Each troop is presenting the life and carreer of a GS alumnus...kinda neat! We took a trip to a local fudge shop a few weeks ago to finish a "businees sense" badge. Found out the owner was a GS...daisy thru Senior! Very exciting and dynamic woman with quite a story! The girls were so taken by her that they wanted to present her for Thinking Day! It has been a very good experience for all. She is even speaking to the whole service unit at Thinking Day on Saturday! Nice when a plan works huh?

Good idea!! I think I'll wait till DH gets up from his nap, though. He just got home after working a 15 hour shift (this was AFTER he spent 3 hours shoveling out his car and helping out the neighbors yesterday!!) Poor guy was dead on his feet walking in.

ROTFLMAO!!!! The traffic reporter on the radio is practically screaming at people to slow down on the roads! Every time she reports an accident she has said, "We have ANOTHER SUV off the road/overturned/stuck in a snowbank...." She just said something about how bad the roads are and that the SUV drivers are NOT exempt from the advice to SLOW DOWN!!!

Guess I better head to the dining car and whip up some bourbon slushies and get them into the freezer so we can celebrate tonight. Today was my first day off from long term subbing. I only worked 1/2 day for a senior government class. Had DS's GF.

Ok, I must get to work on those slushies or they will not be frozen for tonight.
