California Adventure!
When we woke up the next morning, I felt like Id been a punching bag for my daughter. Knees and elbows punched me all night. And shes got some sharp ones. Buzz was griping saying hed been sleeping with a Human Heat Machine. Trey loves to snuggle and he puts off a tremendous amount of heat. Maybe this 2 Queen Sized bed room isnt such a good idea!
I got up, got out my dreaded contact case and opened it. My contact was folded up like a taco shell in the case. It dawned on me- my contact had been inside out! No wonder it was so painful!

I told Buzz and of course, he had to say, Ip Dip! So I put it right outside out, stuck it in my eye and boy did that ever feel better!! Im ready to go now!
We head downstairs-Buzz wants to get a coffee from the bar where he got the wine the night before. We get our steaming hot joe, take some pictures and leave. There is a private entrance for hotel guests. I think there might even be more than one, but we always used the same one.
Its so nice-we have no bags, no stroller- no reason to stop at the security table. Its so liberating. We just walked right through-a first for us. We admire the sites along the way. We see Soarin Over California, what appears to be the River Raft Ride also what looks to be a playground area. Weve got about 10 minutes so we sip our coffees and chat. Were the first ones at the rope drop so the CM comes over and asks our kids if theyd like to help him open the park. Trey does not. LeeAndra does. Two others join her.
So when the countdown starts, he shows the kids what to do and they help him with the opening. It was pretty cool! We threw our coffees away so we can do that fast-walk (that Disney safely allows) to California Screamin but we didnt need to walk that fast. Theres hardly anyone there and we walk right on. Treys getting a little nervous, but I rub his back up and down really fast and grab his hand, acting real excited (which I was). When I act real excited it helps him calm down. We get right on the ride and away we go!!
It was so fun! Trey and LeeAndra screamed the whole time!! Buzz said to LA, Baby, you did some California Screamin and it made us all smile. It was great! We got off and got back on again!! Screaming the whole time again! We got off and got back on again! Three times in a row. After that, I suggested we do something else, my stomach was starting to feel queasy. If I wouldve rode it again, I definitely wouldve thrown up.
We head over to Hollywood Hotel. We kept calling it that because the kids are really scared of Tower of Terror (thanks to me). I hate that ride. We thought calling it a different name would fool them. LA hadnt figured out it was the same ride, but she noticed the similarities. Trey knew immediately and while we waited, he started kind of moaning and whining nervously. People around us were really nice and told him it was not that bad, hed be ok, the waiting was worse, etc. The pre-show was shorter than the one in FL.
It went great. I rubbed his back and talked excitedly to him, which again, calmed him down. We all got through the ride fine. For some reason, it seemed less scary to me, but Buzz disagreed. He thought it was the same.
From there, we head over to Soarin Over California. Is that the name of the one in Florida too? Because we all just keep calling it Soarin. Anyway, the inside of this ride is much cooler than Floridas version. The walls are lined with pictures of planes, aviators and information. Totally kept us from being bored, although the wait was extremely short. I actually couldve used some more time to look at the pictures. I liked this Soarin better than FL due to the queue area! Much better!!!
