Sorry I didn't see this comment!

Staying late is always amazing for park touring. Not so great for the stamina! LOL

I'm getting all of my pics uploaded for August 12th...new posts coming up soon!!!

Caballeros!

Good morning Disney!

I woke up without an alarm at 10am! A full night sleep in Disney? Waking up past 7am? Yes, it is possible!

Whoa! I CANNOT believe that we were already "sleeping in". I guess we were just trying to follow our pre-set rules about taking it easy..... (Or we were totally bonkers)

Mama woke up soon after. We lazed for a bit in bed and soon we were getting ready for the day! We finally remembered to put on sunblock, since we forgot ALL DAY YESTERDAY.

I'm ready for another Disney day!!!

Bring it on!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip236_zpsffafa23c.jpg

We were on a bus to Epcot at 11:25.

Photo0055FourBySix_zps192aba41.jpg

We walked in slowly, taking in all of the details. I recently found a new love for this park that I never had before. I can't get enough!

There were a LOT of people in line for Spaceship Earth. Don't you know it is a walk-on later this afternoon???

We said hello to the fountain. Mama said that someday I should use a video of the musical fountain during one of my school music lessons. I think that is a great idea! It is always a good idea to put a little Disney in your day :)

Since it was lunch time, we did the most logical thing possible. We walked over to Mexico for La Cantina!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip238_zpsfe782f9b.jpg

I can't believe we walked all the way to Mexico from Florida! I know, I know -- dumb joke. Couldn't help myself! But, those fresh made nachos are a great lunch to share. And the view sitting outside near the water can't be beat. Where else can you be in one country and look around to see so many others? A Cultural Extravaganza!!!!

I did the "register trick". CMs will take customers on alternate sides of the register. So even if there is a line on the left and you get onto the empty right hand side, they will take you next. The lady waiting was not too happy, but I was just following "Disney" rules.

Of course we split nachos :) Jalapenos on the side per Mama's request.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip237_zpsb5a0c02a.jpg

Even though I like jalapenos, I still drained the water bottle that I brought with me for the day!

Good thing I had mine so she could drain that too! The girl has an unquenchable thirst I tell ya!

After lunch, we headed into the Mexico pavilion.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip239_zps57826018.jpg

I went to Mexico when I was in 8th grade. It was neat seeing the different artifacts because I remember seeing similar things when I was there! I even saw a diagram of the pyramid that I climbed!

It didn't take me long before I headed straight for my one of my favorite rides!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip240_zps308f2bc4.jpg

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip241_zpsc81abec8.jpg

The CM outside of the ride gave me a high five for my shirt!

After our ride, we saw the rest of the pavilion and did a little shopping. We bought our Princess tiaras (headbands) at Arribas Bros.

After being reunited with my Three Caballeros, I decided to meet my favorite one!

Photo0067FourBySix_zpsf0769f16.jpg

I got lots of hugs and he kissed my hand! Adorable!!!

That was a great meet and greet with your favorite duck. He was really excited about your shirt and just knew deep down that he is your absolute favorite. How could he not know this? And of course I just got to stand off to the side and wait for my quick little wave hello. Donald knew the true fan!

Haha I love when people go right to SE when they enter Epcot. It amuses me!

Good on you Lauren for using the empty register line. That amuses me also.

I just rode Gran Fiesta for the first time in AGES and enjoyed it so much. I always thought of it as Mexican Small World, but it really isn't. It's great!

I'm glad I could be so amusing! :rotfl:

Ewwww. It's a small world. One of my least favorite rides. This one is NOTHING like it. Plus, it has Donald Duck! I may have a slight love for him. Just a slight one.

I love your shirt, it's so cute but now I have that song stuck in my head :rotfl2:

I always think it's crazy how people just jump in the first line they see, we always do SSE on the way out too :)

Thank you for my bump

School Bread, A Mime, and Ellen

After saying good-bye to my bestest friend, Donald, we headed on our way to Norway...aka the land of inspiration to "Frozen", aka my new favorite movie, evidenced by the fact that I've seen it 4 times already....

Your "bestest friend, Donald" ??????? Wait a minute. What am I? Chopped liver?!?!?!?? :rotfl2:

First, we got a little history lesson on Norway inside of the church. Or I think Mama did. I was too distracted to read anything. (Apparently, I used up my reading quota over in Mexico...) However, the music in there sounded really awesome. It was very similar to the instrumental pieces on the soundtrack from the Lord of the Rings movies. Quite interesting.

But alas, I remember nothing from my history lesson. I do remember a viking and a ship but that's about it. And now I recall hearing that the inside of the church has been transformed into a Frozen space I guess I will never know..... Gotta admit --- just not the end of the world to me considering the internet is a historian's dream. And Frozen totally rocks!

After our quick tour of Norway history, we headed on to the most important Norwegian destination: Kringla Bakeri!

I thought that was the Maelstrom? What kind of ride enthusiast are you???????

I NEEDED my school bread. Yes. I said it. NEEDED.

Just look at this delicious pieces of Norwegian dessert goodness.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip244_zpsfb782f8e.jpg

We split the school bread. I had my first (life changing) experience with school bread back in April, but this was Mama's first school bread taste. As I recall, she enjoyed the custard of the school bread. That actually isn't my favorite part. I'm generally not a fan of custard, though I enjoy this one. What I love is the spice or whatever magic they put into that dough because it is so flavorful and spiced yet sweet from the icing. Such a good combo.

I have to say that after all the hype I must admit that Skool Bread was not everything i thought it would be. I LOVE custard and pudding so that was yummy. Coconut added a nice sweetness. The spice could have been a little more pronounced. Not being a hater. Don't judge.

We meandered over to the Maelstrom (over the falls!) and waited less than 10 minutes. Seriously. I don't know why people wait so long for Soarin' or Test Track when you could go over the falls in a Norwegian themed boat ride? C'mon, people!

We wanted to stay for part of the dump movie just to say that we did. The CM said that the next showing would be starting in 2 minutes. We decided weren't waiting.

But we did see the last little bit of the previous show. I think. ummmm.... So that does count for us to check it off our list of things to do! Sorta...... :scratchin

Instead, we met a troll on the way out.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip245_zps384e64fa.jpg

Good-bye Norway!

On the way out, we saw a friend familiar to some resident Frumps on the Disboards...Norman Jr.! We just had to say hello!

WP_20130812_003_zpsa6ecc358.jpg

Hello Italy!

We happened upon the Ziti sisters during their 2pm show. It was hilarious! They had a lot of audience involvement which was great. I highly recommend their show! Such great attitude from such wonderful women.

And then they asked for volunteers. And I raised my hand! (Something I secretly want to do but hardly ever do...)

When in Rome...... Might as well do what the Romans are doing.....

The last act was making a live reinterpretation of a painting. The woman called me beautiful and said I was to be the woman at the center of the painting. (Talk about a self-confidence boost :))

I was draped in red and told not to move!

And you follow directions so well!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip248_zps51e98c32.jpg

Excellent interpretation, yes? It was so much fun!

After the show, the tables with umbrellas to the right of the pavilion entrance opened up so she went over to snag one. It was a great shaded spot and so much cooler! We wanted to stay for the next show (a mime) so I went to get one of my favorite treats: the American Dream.

Most unfortunately, the machine was broken! I settled for a gelato to share and a bottle of water for me! It was nice and cold, but a rich and creamy treat. Definitely more than just your typical ice cream. Very flavorful. I recommend.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip251_zps261796bf.jpg

The mime came out as scheduled at 2:30. He wasn't a mime that I'm used to seeing though. He blew a whistle a lot during his act, which was new to me, but he was very funny in his movements and interactions with the audience.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip252_zps72f229b0.jpg

Here is one of my favorite bits: He had a large net and a ball. He had many young kids throw the ball into the net. All of the kids "made the shot" because he would move the net in order to catch the ball. Then he had an adult try and make the shot, except that he kept the net still and didn't help out. Obviously, the adult missed. The whole show the mime was egging this guy on that all of the kids could make the shot and he couldn't. Very enjoyable.

I was so happy that we managed to see 2 SHOWS/ACTS here in WS. Any other time I have been it was always shopping and not much else. Next trip I want to see some more of the performers. Just have to get a times guide and make a plan!

After the show, we had a leisurely walk to the boat dock to catch the Friendship boat back to Future World.

While we waited for the boat, we had a little photo shoot with on this beautiful August afternoon.

Some of those are so typical. I really want to remember/learn how to take those different pix that are unique and just so cool looking. Sort of like the one with the Venice pole thingies...

Even though we waited a bit, it was fun having the time to take these pictures. I think the Friendship boats are a great resource, especially when you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes. It saves you from walking and you get the opportunity to stay put for a few moments of your day!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip259_zps07d48e34.jpg

Oh Captain. My Captain.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip260_zps65a1c164.jpg

"Oh this is a tale of the castaways...."

Our first stop in Future World was a MUST-SEE attraction. Which one am I talking about? Ellen's Energy Adventure, of course! Duh! For those who aren't aware, this ride/show is 45 minutes long. We had a 5 minute wait until the next show. Why were we so enthusiastically seeing this? Because we had a goal of seeing EVERYTHING and this was a ride. So it must be ridden.

I enjoyed this; even if it isn't a super fave of commando park goers. I was hoping to get to all the "less favored" but no less important attractions. Luckily we have another trip planned where I will be able to continue the mission!

Actually, it wasn't that bad. It was 45 minutes seated, in air-conditioning, and it had Bill Nye the Science Guy. Time actually passed quicker than I thought it would!

On the way out, we stopped by to see the Jammitors performing (who I always call the "Jamminators" by accident...) and admired their percussion skills. This group is one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of STOMP (which is a group that uses non-traditional percussion instruments as well) so this group is right up my alley.

Music is EVERYWHERE in DISNEY!

After the show, we walked through Innoventions East. There was a 30 minute wait for Sum of All Thrills but we were going to wait until a rope drop day to ride.

Stay tuned for pictures from our super awesome Disney Visa meet and greet!!!

I love your shirt, it's so cute but now I have that song stuck in my head :rotfl2:

I always think it's crazy how people just jump in the first line they see, we always do SSE on the way out too :)

Thank you for my bump

It is one of my favorites! Thank you! And bwahaha! (maniacal laugh)

Oooh. A line. I must stand in it!

You're welcome :)

Mickey and the Rockettes!

As Disney Visa card members, we have access to the super not-so-secret character meet and greet in Innovations East. I don't know if it usually has a line, but when we went, we basically walked right in. The meet and greet area itself is hidden by a curtain so you can't see what characters you are going to meet. We ended up seeing Mickey and Pluto!

This character meet is great because it is just you, the characters, and the photographer in the room. If there is a line of people waiting outside, you don't see them! If you are creative with your meet and greets, this is the place for you. We had lots of crazy fun!

They loved us! I danced with Pluto, and he gave me kisses which was super cute. Mommy asked where Minnie was. Mickey said she was off making dinner for him. They have a lot of different props in this room so they can "say" a lot of things.

Photo0082FourBySix_zps012ff0ef.jpg

We danced!

Photo0083FourBySix_zps98305238.jpg

Then we decided to try a kick line. BEST CHARACTER MEET EVER!

Photo0089FourBySix_zpsdda43961.jpg

Unfortunately, Mickey wasn't quite getting it that we were all starting on our left foot. He kept starting with his right!!! Poor guy.

Nailed it!

Photo0095FourBySix_zps7ef814d6.jpg

Photo0101FourBySix_zpscc75fa6d.jpg

I think these are my most favorite pictures from the trip. We are so joyous and it is such a wonderful moment! I love my Mommy!

If you have a Disney Visa I can not recommend this enough! I wonder how long they would have let us stay? We had so much fun and I hope Mickey and Pluto enjoyed their time as well. Who would have guessed that a dog has better dance moves than a mouse?!?!?!??! And these pictures are so much fun. thank you FP Photographer! And now we get to do the MemoryMaker. I wonder if they will change the name of the FPPs to MMPs?

After saying good-bye to our dance partners, we went over to swim under the sea with Nemo. I love that ride!

I would have loved it more if my throat hadn't started burning from my Afrin nose spray. That stuff was awesome because it allowed me to function as a human being but sometimes it dripped down my throat and burned like crazy. That was not fun at all.

Stupid Afrin! Started off as a good thing and then......... Luckily there were beverages available to kill the nasty taste and soothe the throat.

After riding, we decided to explore the seas!

Manatees!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip263_zps1fb450fb.jpg

Their tails were injured from boating accidents and they looked a little sad. But they are taken care of, which is wonderful.

Mama kept exploring while I stepped out to grab a diet coke to coat my throat.

Nemo!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip265_zps947299e8.jpg

Burnt marshmallow anyone?

It really does look like burnt marshmallow tips. What the heck is this? Any relationship to Peach from Nemo fame?

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip267_zpsc4f29b71.jpg

We went upstairs to see the dolphins. They are so beautiful and so difficult to photograph!

Great idea just popped into my mind! Use the video camera and then grab still shots! They glide through the water so quickly they are hard to catch on camera. How would it be to swim with them? Could never keep up!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip273_zps732b74da.jpg

This is actually my new favorite "rest spot". You go upstairs and down the long hallway to the circular viewing room. In the center there is a large circular console that has several bench seats built into it. First of all, the air conditioning is on full force (the vent is actually behind this console), and second, the lighting is lowered. It is a perfect resting place. I sat and caught up on my TR journal while Mama attempted to photograph the dolphins and other swimming things.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip275_zps9690780d.jpg

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip278_zpsf6fbfebf.jpg

Before leaving, we went to see the manatees again, this time from a different viewing area.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip279_zps53a34354.jpg

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip280_zpsa993c97a.jpg

I wonder if they will still be there in March? I hope that they would be able to be released back into the wild again someday. How long does it take for them to be rehabilitated? Going on the checklist is time to visit with the manatees and their handlers so we can ask questions. anyone know if there is a "showtime"?

Since we were relatively close, we decided to go to the Land for "Living with the Land"! Neither of us had ever been on this ride! It smells SO GOOD. I especially like the rainforest smell. And what exactly is a peanut butter tree? And if a chocolate tree and a peanut butter tree, you know, pollinated, would there be a Peanut Butter Cup tree?

It was getting close to our dinner ADR time, so we wandered in that direction. On the way, we decided to stop at another..umm....character meet and greet?! (We're not obsessed!)

Well why not? We are professionals!

Oh, look! We just happened to wander into Character Spot!

We met Pluto, Minnie, and Mickey. It was a bit rushed (especially compared to our crazy awesome Visa character meet) but it was very cute.

Mama and her gal!

Photo0120FourBySix_zpsfb978444.jpg

After saying good-bye to our friends, we stopped at Club Cool for a quick drink. For those who don't know, this is where you can get FREE samples of coke products from around the world. I really like the watermelon flavor from China. Mama did NOT like that one! And I have yet to try Beverly. I'm a little scared!

The watermelon was waaaayyyyyy too sweet. And we all know what Bev tasted like. But you are scared to taste it? Time for a challenge!!!!! You against Daddy or maybe your brother?? Then again your brother would probably like it!

From there, we went back into World Showcase. We had an important dinner to get to!

Any guesses?

I think the title of the post just may have given it away....

If you guessed Le Cellier, you were right!

We were very excited for this meal! And for once, we knew exactly what we were going to order!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip287_zpsc6056d4d.jpg

Our waitress' name was Lauren (how perfect!) and she was fabulous. We made sure to leave a positive comment card before we left.

Our "section of Canada" that we were seated in:

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip301_zps7798b34e.jpg

Since this was a special meal, we decided to start off with some drinks! Now, I normally don't drink. Obviously I can, I just choose not to. So it was fun for me on this trip to try a variety of new things.

Mama had this green thing. I don't remember what it was called though.

Key Lime martini anyone? Soooo good. I probably could have drank it right down --- which would have been a REALLY bad idea since I have a low intolerance to alcohol. As it was my face was warm which is a sure sign... :rolleyes1 Luckily there was no driving for me!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip294_zpsf3b7fe9c.jpg

I had a chocolate martini. I've always wanted to try one, so I figured it was the perfect time! It was okay. Not my favorite though. A little too much alcohol taste, and too little chocolate...LOL! I actually liked Mama's a lot more.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip295_zps1315fcc0.jpg

To start the meal, we each ordered a bowl of the famous Cheddar Cheese soup. I knew there was no way we could split a bowl.

My mouth is watering.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip296_zps4d983a05.jpg

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - made with Moosehead Beer and Nueske's Smoked Bacon

Accompanying bread and butter.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip297_zps1da7a459.jpg

The butter really surprised me. I've been trying to replicate it ever since! I loved the maple taste in the butter. So good!

As far as the bread goes, the multi-grain was my favorite bread eating it with butter, but the pretzel bread was my favorite dunked in the soup.

I really, really, really liked the soup...

WP_20130812_005_zps30f59235.jpg

We also got an order of poutine fries, per recommendation of waitress Lauren. This came with a red wine sauce that was poured table side. My mouth is watering just looking at this plate of goodness.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip300_zps30625343.jpg

Someone please pass me a napkin so I can wipe my chin please.

Hand Cut Fries, Canadian Cheddar, black truffle and red wine reduction

Of course, our entree was none other than the mushroom filet.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip299_zps9c0fc270.jpg

I fell over. Someone please help me up.

Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Canadian Beef Tenderloin with wild mushroom risotto, pickled pearl onions, white truffle butter sauce

They were so awesome and split it on two separate plates for us!

This meal was beyond fabulous. The service was amazing. The food was incredible. There are almost no words. After all of that delicious food, there was absolutely no room for dessert, so we paid, left our positive comment card, and waddled out of there.

Such a great experience all around. I wonder if Lauren read the card and remembered us? Great CMS deserve pats on the back! And yes; "waddled" is the correct word. So glad we shared the fries and entree!

We walked for a bit, letting the food settle. We were at dinner from 7-8pm, so we decided to just find a spot to relax and wait for Illuminations. There was a ledge around a garden on the edge of Canada that we decided to take advantage of. It wasn't the best view, but we could sit and enjoy rather than having to fight for a spot among a crowd. Definitely a good choice, especially since we knew we'd be seeing the show again.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip304_zps273a5aff.jpg

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!

The people sitting next to us were seeing Illuminations for the very first time. Mama really liked that. It brings back that fresh excitement. Of course, we were excited. But we also know the soundtrack by heart. It's a little different when you have absolutely no clue!

Part way through the show they assumed it had to be finished. I mean; how on Earth could they top that? Then they saw the rest. They were blown away! Loved being part of that. Thanks Newbies!

WP_20130812_008_zpsa38754c6.jpg

WP_20130812_010_zps69cb42eb.jpg

WP_20130812_012_zpsef01a992.jpg

Actually, I did see something new this time! I noticed the circles of changing light for the first time. If you don't know what I mean, look for it!

After Illuminations, we never rush for the exit. Our theory is, we will never "beat the crowd" anyway. We'd rather "wait" in a shop than wait in a bus line!

We stopped at the bathrooms and then went to Mousegears, possibly my favorite store on property.

We got a few things on our "must buy" list. You know, those things that after seeing them a handful of times, you know you are just going to buy no matter what. We always rationalize it this way: if we know we are going to break down and buy it anyway, we might as well buy it together and get the larger discount at one time. Makes sense to me! I bought a blanket and Mama bought her Dumbo shirt! We got a few other things that I can't remember.

Had to buy those things that ya just gotta have. And what were they? Ummm.... We saw those shoes you loved but then they didn't fit right. Socks for Sarah that she really really wanted. Tried to find the right size dress. No luck yet. Canvased the entire store which is soooo much fun. Bought enough to get a discount. Just sayin'....

We also stopped at the photopass place to pick up our free print from the Visa character meet. Even though we got all of the photos on our photopass card, we still got a print for free. The CM was great! She let us take our time deciding. She loved the pictures and thought it was an awesome character meet.

WP_20130812_016_zps70d251fa.jpg

Thinking we had left enough time, we headed out to the bus. Well, all would have been well except for the woman with the scooter. Now, normally I have no problem with scooters. Yeah, it takes a few extra minutes, but it is usually a pretty routine process. This woman however was complaining (quite loudly) that the bus driver wouldn't park her "buggy" for her. And yes, she called it a buggy. Needless to say, it took extra time.

totally forgot about that. Amazing what tidbits you recall while reading a trip journal (good thing Lauren kept one because mine stopped on day one!)

We were back to the room about 11pm. I examined my pins, found some scrappers, took my notes, checked my plans, chose my outfit, filed receipts, organized my bag, did my nails....and oh yeah...went to bed!

a.k.a. the nightly routine

***I made a few updates over the last few days. Check the index to make sure you're all caught up! Enjoy! ***

Tusker House

Before we start the update, here is a bonus picture of a super cute Duffy with my new blanket!

WP_20130813_001_zpsfb70e8ed.jpg

What an adorable picture. I wonder how Duffy enjoyed his time in the room?

This morning we woke up at 6:15! What a difference from yesterday. I can function on 4 hours of sleep, right?

We left the room at 7:20 and headed to Animal Kingdom!

Our bus driver was the most eccentric bus driver I have ever had. She talked the ENTIRE time. As in, continually. Barely stopping for breath. I think there were two other groups on the bus with us and all of us were kind of doing awkward glances between each other. Among her ramblings, I gained the following bits of "Eccentric WDW Bus Driver Knowledge":

- The resorts know nothing.

- Don't ask info from all of the bus drivers. Most of them know nothing.

- When waiting for the bus in front of you to turn right into traffic, it is perfectly acceptable to have a bit of road rage and tell them "You can go now!"

Do you think it was too early in the morning for her? Perhaps she went to sleep at 2:15 too? But, I really hope not! She was a whole lot to deal with as it was! (but mildly entertaining)

Thankfully, we made it alive (it was touch and go for a bit there) and soon we were looking upon this beautiful sight.

Cue the heavenly music.

Have to love a slow walk through a rather empty park. Makes for some nice pictures and a relaxed morning!

Our destination!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip317_zpsc55c481e.jpg

We were checking in at 8:20.

I think Tusker House is now a requirement for me. I love their breakfast buffet. Yummy!!!!!

Me and my bestest friend!

Once again I didn't make the best friend picture..... :sad1:

I let Mama join us!

Gee..... thanks. (just kidding)

Photo0144FourBySix_zpsc8a8dc6c.jpg

There was a long line for Donald, which I wasn't a fan of, but we got some cute pictures! (Plus, I was waiting for the icky medicine taste to go away again :( )

Sylvia was our waitress. She did a nice job. It's always a toss up with buffet waiters/waitresses. The last time I was at Tusker House, our waiter forgot to offer us drinks. This time was completely different. I even got English breakfast tea!

No idea which plate belonged to who, so just enjoy food pictures. I wrote down that I did not like meat bobtie or the sweet potato casserole. I loved Mickey waffles (duh!) and potatoes. Jungle Juice is growing on me, slowly but surely.

Happy Mama!

Mickey and the girls!

Daisy and Me!

Goofy is so goofy!!!

And so is the girl under his chin!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip329_zps67362052.jpg

How tall is Lauren?

SO BIG!!!!!! (a memory from childhood)

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip330_zpseb1842e7.jpg

I ruined the "magic" for myself a bit. I happened to turn and see where the covering was for the "Goofy's friend's" face. But he is still Goofy!

More food!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip332_zpsb5e3a9d9.jpg

Who says you can't have dessert with breakfast?

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip333_zpse2bf90d9.jpg

Just a little bit more!

Bread pudding is delicious any time of day!

Tusker House was a wonderful breakfast. It isn't the most high quality food, but it is yummy and you are sure to find something that interests you as well as some new flavors to try. Plus, I enjoy any opportunity to walk through an almost empty park.

OK Lauren, so CLEARLY you're making up for lost time here, lol.

Holy, You've seen Frozen 4 times?? I have to get to the theatre STAT!

Haha, so you wanted to stay for the Norway movie but 2 minutes was too long? :lmao:

I've yet to take the boat across World Showcase Lagoon. I must do that one day. I'm sure my feet would be grateful.

I wish I could get one of those Visa's but with a Canadian address, I can't.

But YAY Le Cellier even though I've never been but I'm Canadian so YAY!

Hmmm, yeah. I'd say that bus driver sounds "Special"

Apparently, I'm on a crazy trip update binge today :)

Loving Animal Kingdom!!!

After breakfast, Mama and I split up to collect some fastpasses! (I'll just refer to them as FP-) Between the two of us, we had 2 APs and 4 room keys (from AOA and POFQ) so we had plenty to work with!

Along the way, we got this lovely picture:

After walking through the jungle for days on end the two explorers come upon a clearing. As they climb to the top of the hill and look out over the magnificent view they see a tree made of intricately carved animals. After checking the map they find themselves in the middle of a land filled with riches!

After our FP- finding adventure, we returned with our treasure!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip338_zps791b512f.jpg

One safari adventure and two trips to say "hi" to the Yeti!

Hey, look! Ruins!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip340_zpsc751e377.jpg

Just chill-axing on a bench.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip343_zps91a2ad15.jpg

Just a duck and a minnie mouse.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip344_zpsed93c15c.jpg

On the way back to the safari, we did some shopping. Really, is anyone surprised at this point? I found a Donald Duck safari shirt and Mama found a clip magnet for the fridge.

Oooooh! We went on a safari! Must have animal pictures!!!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip351_zps2b70e2f3.jpg

And pictures of grass!

Savannah view anyone? Took the picture so I could use it on a scrapbook page.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip353_zpse5f18f1b.jpg

Look! A TRUCK!

Ooooooohhhh. A very rare sight!

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip355_zpsb6a0c8de.jpg

Okay, seriously though. It was a great safari.

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip359_zps48853a38.jpg

WDWAugust2013Mother-DaughterTrip362_zps3dd694a6.jpg

Look out Lauren! That zebra forgot to put on his brake lights!

Apparently, the male lion was up and walking but I missed it because I was looking at a stupid ostrich!!!

Zebras were back, so that was awesome. And the bus driver sounded like a radio announcer. I think he should do voice overs.

As we left the safari, we stopped to check out the gorilla. He was sleeping peacefully under a rock.

Along the way to Expedition Everest, we stopped to investigate a musical instrument!

DSC00173_zpsa9db9912.jpg

It is called a Angklung, which is an instrument from Indonesia.

DSC00174_zpse0212a9f.jpg

I asked Dani to teach me about the instrument on camera so that I can show it to my kids in school.

DSC00177_zps71379b7b.jpg

He said that kids in Indonesia learn this instrument just like kids in the US learn the violin or the clarinet. It was really interesting!

Now that is an experience that you can't get anywhere else. Not only did I learn about a foreign musical instrument, but I was able to make a teaching aid that will educate my students!

We said good-bye and continued on our way.

Scary!

We rode Expedition Everest 2 times in a row using FP-!

Obviously we were exhausted after our Yeti Quest....

Yes, I would agree with this pin...

WP_20130813_006_zps80112e93.jpg

So would I!!!!

We wanted to go see Nemo, but we were too late to see the show. Instead, we went to Dinosaur which had a 10-15 minute wait. It was a good ride. Our plan was to "roar" but I was too late!

Photo0156FourBySix_zpsc25764a0.jpg

I'll get it next time!

Apparently! It wasn't the best day health wise but I was determined to be "productive" in some way. I thought this was a good compromise!

Yes! You have to go see Frozen. The music is fabulous!!!

Ummm...yeah, that's pretty much the sight of it. 2 minutes was far to long to wait.

Yes you should take the boat, too bad about the visa card, and I think that you should at least go try the soup!

Definitely belongs in the "special" category. I'd say she belongs in the room where the "special" toy workers go...the one with all of the jack-in-the-boxes.

Love your trip report. Thanks for the multiple updates. :wizard:

Thanks and you're very welcome! :goodvibes

Apparently, I chose a good day to get caught up on my TR's. Great updates. I love that you used all your keys and APs to get FP. Clever girls!
