Le Cellier
Oh, look! We just happened to wander into Character Spot!
We met Pluto, Minnie, and Mickey. It was a bit rushed (especially compared to our crazy awesome Visa character meet) but it was very cute.
Minnie likes her pins!
Why does my nose look so tiny and pointy in that pic? Especially compared to Minnies! but hers is PERFECT!
Mama and her gal!
After saying good-bye to our friends, we stopped at Club Cool for a quick drink. For those who don't know, this is where you can get FREE samples of coke products from around the world. I really like the watermelon flavor from China. Mama did NOT like that one! And I have yet to try Beverly. I'm a little scared!
The watermelon was waaaayyyyyy too sweet. And we all know what Bev tasted like. But you are scared to taste it? Time for a challenge!!!!! You against Daddy or maybe your brother?? Then again your brother would probably like it!
From there, we went back into World Showcase. We had an important dinner to get to!
Any guesses?
I think the title of the post just may have given it away....
If you guessed Le Cellier, you were right!
We were very excited for this meal! And for once, we knew exactly what we were going to order!
Our waitress' name was Lauren (how perfect!) and she was fabulous. We made sure to leave a positive comment card before we left.
Our "section of Canada" that we were seated in:
Since this was a special meal, we decided to start off with some drinks! Now, I normally don't drink. Obviously I can, I just choose not to. So it was fun for me on this trip to try a variety of new things.
Mama had this green thing. I don't remember what it was called though.
Key Lime martini anyone? Soooo good. I probably could have drank it right down --- which would have been a REALLY bad idea since I have a low intolerance to alcohol. As it was my face was warm which is a sure sign...

Luckily there was no driving for me!
I had a chocolate martini. I've always wanted to try one, so I figured it was the perfect time! It was okay. Not my favorite though. A little too much alcohol taste, and too little chocolate...LOL! I actually liked Mama's a lot more.
To start the meal, we each ordered a bowl of the famous Cheddar Cheese soup. I knew there was no way we could split a bowl.
My mouth is watering.
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - made with Moosehead Beer and Nueske's Smoked Bacon
Accompanying bread and butter.
The butter really surprised me. I've been trying to replicate it ever since! I loved the maple taste in the butter. So good!
As far as the bread goes, the multi-grain was my favorite bread eating it with butter, but the pretzel bread was my favorite dunked in the soup.
I really, really, really liked the soup...
We also got an order of poutine fries, per recommendation of waitress Lauren. This came with a red wine sauce that was poured table side. My mouth is watering just looking at this plate of goodness.
Someone please pass me a napkin so I can wipe my chin please.
Hand Cut Fries, Canadian Cheddar, black truffle and red wine reduction
Of course, our entree was none other than the mushroom filet.
I fell over. Someone please help me up.
Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Canadian Beef Tenderloin with wild mushroom risotto, pickled pearl onions, white truffle butter sauce
They were so awesome and split it on two separate plates for us!
This meal was beyond fabulous. The service was amazing. The food was incredible. There are almost no words. After all of that delicious food, there was absolutely no room for dessert, so we paid, left our positive comment card, and waddled out of there.
Such a great experience all around. I wonder if Lauren read the card and remembered us? Great CMS deserve pats on the back! And yes; "waddled" is the correct word. So glad we shared the fries and entree!
We walked for a bit, letting the food settle. We were at dinner from 7-8pm, so we decided to just find a spot to relax and wait for Illuminations. There was a ledge around a garden on the edge of Canada that we decided to take advantage of. It wasn't the best view, but we could sit and enjoy rather than having to fight for a spot among a crowd. Definitely a good choice, especially since we knew we'd be seeing the show again.
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!
The people sitting next to us were seeing Illuminations for the very first time. Mama really liked that. It brings back that fresh excitement. Of course, we were excited. But we also know the soundtrack by heart. It's a little different when you have absolutely no clue!
Part way through the show they assumed it had to be finished. I mean; how on Earth could they top that? Then they saw the rest. They were blown away! Loved being part of that. Thanks Newbies!
Actually, I did see something new this time! I noticed the circles of changing light for the first time. If you don't know what I mean, look for it!
After Illuminations, we never rush for the exit. Our theory is, we will never "beat the crowd" anyway. We'd rather "wait" in a shop than wait in a bus line!
We stopped at the bathrooms and then went to Mousegears, possibly my favorite store on property.
We got a few things on our "must buy" list. You know, those things that after seeing them a handful of times, you know you are just going to buy no matter what. We always rationalize it this way: if we know we are going to break down and buy it anyway, we might as well buy it together and get the larger discount at one time. Makes sense to me! I bought a blanket and Mama bought her Dumbo shirt! We got a few other things that I can't remember.
Had to buy those things that ya just gotta have. And what were they? Ummm.... We saw those shoes you loved but then they didn't fit right.

Socks for Sarah that she really really wanted. Tried to find the right size dress. No luck yet. Canvased the entire store which is soooo much fun. Bought enough to get a discount. Just sayin'....
We also stopped at the photopass place to pick up our free print from the Visa character meet. Even though we got all of the photos on our photopass card, we still got a print for free. The CM was great! She let us take our time deciding. She loved the pictures and thought it was an awesome character meet.
Thinking we had left enough time, we headed out to the bus. Well, all would have been well except for the woman with the
scooter. Now, normally I have no problem with scooters. Yeah, it takes a few extra minutes, but it is usually a pretty routine process. This woman however was complaining (quite loudly) that the bus driver wouldn't park her "buggy" for her. And yes, she called it a buggy. Needless to say, it took extra time.
totally forgot about that. Amazing what tidbits you recall while reading a trip journal (good thing Lauren kept one because mine stopped on day one!)
We were back to the room about 11pm. I examined my pins, found some scrappers, took my notes, checked my plans, chose my outfit, filed receipts, organized my bag, did my nails....and oh yeah...went to bed!
a.k.a. the nightly routine
