Where in Scotland are you? Just wondering. My Grandson is going in July for a Boy Scout function. My son will be taking him. They are so excited. Grandson even bought himself a kilt and is studying bagpipes. We have Scottish ancestry.

I'm Outside Edinburgh ( In What You Guys Call The Boonies:lmao: :lmao: ) I'm Sure That Your Grandson Will "LOVE" His Time At The Scout Function & In Scotland (Make Sure They Bring Waterproofs Though:lmao: :lmao: ) I Was In AZ A Few Years Ago,My Aunt Is A Snowbird There:) Getting Back To The WL,I Dont Think That It Will Bother Me Having An Enclosed Balcony,For All The Time That We Will Actually Be In The Room I Don't Think It Will Be A Big Issue:) :)

Just wanted to add my gratitude as well...have been an on and off visitor here..last year this time I had WL booked for an Aug/Sept trip, and was afflicted with the changing of resorts disorder...lol...however, I am happy to say I will be there in AUg this year:)
My wish was to get Ava's photo next to the totem pole and watch her grow over the years:) (She will be 2)

I have a deluxe room booked for next year in July, but my search option doesnt seem to work right the last few days.I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the deluxe rooms.Thanks.

I know there are photos of these rooms at allears.net!

I Have Since Found out That The Bottom Of The Balcony Is Enclosed,Not Sure If I Want That!!! So Has Anyone Stayed In A Deluxe Room On The 5th Floor? If So What Was The View Like?
Eathelves

The balcony on the 6th floor Deluxe Room isn't enclosed..:sad2: not even part it. It has wooden slats for the balusters instead of metal balusters. The Deluxe Room on the 5th floor does have the metal rods for the balusters, the views are the same from each floor. It is also the same view that the Presidential Suite has, I think it's one of the best views available.

The enclosed balconies that we refer to are completely enclosed with solid material either wood or stone work, you have to stand to see over the balcony the rail is approx. 4 feet high. When you are sitting down you have compete privacy.

My main reason for posting is that I booked us for a bunk bed room with the courtyard view...is it worth the upgrade or should I stick with the bunkbed room with woods view instead? What I am thinking is once our kids go to bed my DH and I might sit on the balcony. What do you all think?
Beauandjacksmommy

Both the Woods View and the Courtyard View rooms are great, but the Inner Courtyard View is a little more spectacular so I would keep the room you have booked. Sitting out on the balcony people watching is always a nice way to spend a few hours.

My question is: Which of the resort activities have you or your children done and how did you like them? My kids will be 5 and almost 2 on our next trip and I'm hoping we can fit in more time at the WL this trip.

I know my nieces and nephews have enjoyed every activaty that they have done while staying at the Lodge. The Duck Races are great for everyone.

On my last trip my DH and I were relaxing out behind Trout Pass Pool Bar and the lifeguards brought small kites out, the children just started appearing from all over.

At first we tried to just stay out of everyones way, there were more children then adults to assist so we started helping pick colors for the designs (each child colors an original design on their kite) soon we were all running up and down the beach with kites in flight. (Yes, ::yes:: I still have my Kite)

One of the best afternoons we have had at the Lodge and none of the children belonged to us that trip. Trust me I hadn't planned on spending the afternoon helping little ones color bears, trees and stars on kites...then running back and forth holding a string. :rotfl2: Remember we were behind Trout Pass Pool Bar.

So the best advise I can give you about the activities is try them all and join your childern at play.

I would stick with the courtyard view. There is nothing to see with a woods view but the tree tops! We wound up with that in May and didn't even wind up sitting out there. The only good thing was we had a great view of Wishes at night! Didn't know what the noise was till I looked outside. So for 10 minutes every night we used the balcony!

Hi everyone!

I am so excited, I just booked the WL for December 13-17 and am hoping for a PIN:goodvibes. I have consistantly read wonderful things about this hotel, especially at Christmas, and am soooo excited.

I have to get my new counter figured out...sorry about the old halloween one from almost 3 years ago:)

Subbing! Our first stay at WL will B this September- now I must go back and readt threw all these pages LOL!

Question about "chair saving" by the pool? It will be just me and ds- no extra eyes from dh this trip to watch our son. And I remember that the water parks and during a recent cruise that chair saving is an issue--- IS this a problem at this resort? it always happens to some extent but is it excessive at the WL?

are there fridges in the rooms at wl ?

Great photo :)

It happened to me as well. I posted right after the question about the fridge, but two other posts showed up before mine several minutes after I actually posted - so I edited it twice.

Something must be going on with the site tonight. Earlier today could not get on the site at all.

As for your WL vs YC stay - would very much like to hear your comparison!

Thanks! :) (wonder where this post will show up!!)

Here you go...from Allearsnet

I am here now, at the WL, on the Club Level, if anyone has any questions or if you want any specific pictures. Very different experience here over our stay the last three days at the Yacht Club Concierge level.

OK, very strange, I JUST posted that post above and yet it shows the person who posted after me as many minutes later and not onlly that but they edited it a long time after. That isn't possible. Just seeing what time this post shows as posted..

I would also like to hear your comparison, memorymaker. We usually stay at BC, but will be at WL in two weeks:cool1: . How are the two different experiences? Thanks for your reply, we can't wait to get there.

I am also anxious to hear your thoughts about the 2 resorts.

BTW- That was happening to me last night when I posted..always went above the last poster-weird
